I eat at Panda Express alot. Here are some reasons why you should NOT visit this location. 1. The manager has very poor communication skills, if you have a problem, she can not comprehend nor will she offer any resolve. 2. The prices here are out of control. This Panda is 25 percent more than other Panda restaurants in the area. 3. The food sits in the pans too long and is not hot or fresh on many occasions . 4. Not sure if it's because we were walking around the casino quite a bit or if this just had a nice, fresh batch when we went. We stopped here after going around Morongo Casino on our last day from our Palm Desert trip. We were looking for something quick but weren't feeling burgers at the time (since in n out is next door). This Panda Express is located just next to the Cabazon Outlet, and it shares parking spaces with a gas station and In N Out. The parking can get very busy and the restaurant inside is as well. There was a line when we went and even though it moves, it was moving very slowly and the dining area was very crowded as throngs of people continue to come in and out of the restaurant. The good thing is that the food here can be fresh off the kitchen as people continue to come in and kept the staff busy. We got our usual, fried rice, Beijing beef, orange chicken, cream cheese Rangoon, and chicken egg roll. The staff on the counter were efficient, but I guess they were just really tired serving or had a long day already, they barely greet you and just wants to get your chosen item before passing it along the line. The cashier is also more or less in the same mood, no smiles. It was just ready to pay and get out the line and finding a table. There were a lot of parties/group of people that just sits around before ordering the food, so it was a little frustrating trying to find a space for us to eat, we also had 2 little ones with us. Anyways, we ended up finding a table and finally enjoyed the food. The staff works hard to try to keep the place clean and I appreciate that. Food was off. Employees were having very loud personal conversations. Diamond, the girl that helped me, forgot to ask if I wanted teriyaki sauce with teriyaki chicken. She also didn't mention that a single bowl was now only a dollar less than a 2-item entree meal. The bathroom floor was literally covered in piss to the point that my girlfriend put her shoes in the bed of our truck because she didn't want to contaminate the carpet. Also, one employee was picking only shrimp out of the Firecracker Shrimp for his personal meal. It had been years since I stepped foot into a Panda Express and after arguing where we were going to eat from Imperial Valley to here in Cabazon (do the math for a harsh reality), my husband and I were reminded just how good this place is! For around $8, one can eat like a King with a two-item combo that comes with fried rice or chow mein (or half / half, which I recommend) and a drink. In typical Chinese food fashion, Panda Express employees are trained to load up the carton until it can barely close so no one is physically able to leave here still hungry. This location is a stand-alone store close to the Cabazon outlets and is near Hadley's (as a point of reference). This is a drive-through location with a decent sized dining area inside if you want to chow down there. They also have clean restrooms which add an element of being a great stopping point for those on a long road trip. Beware that the parking lot gets packed because it is shared with other fast food locations in the proximity. While this location isn't convenient to us go frequent often, it was definitely the reminder we needed to visit Panda Express on the regular. read more

Supervisor Derek is NOT a leader nor is he a good example for his staff! This was the worst treatment I've ever received at a public business. The food was good, but after my 2 friends & I went in to order something at approximately 8:30 pm (Dining room closes at 10:00 pm) we were told by the cashier that we couldn't eat inside the dining room area. So we went to the outside dining area to eat our meals. Shortly after, an employee came outside and told us that his supervisor said we couldn't sit there either because allegedly they were going to spray the outside dining area with chemicals. It seemed like the employee didn't want to say this and he was reluctantly saying it against his will. I can't even remember after this point how the situation escalated, but Derek the supervisor came out and aggressively told us this is the number for corporate offices and his name was Derek. That should've been it, but we weren't bothering anyone by sitting outside to eat our food except Derek. My friend was talking to us and Derek butted in and began to verbally harass us and my friend reacted by treating him the way he was treating us I stepped between them both and said ok break it up. Then Derek told me to get out of his face and I said I was trying to stop the situation and I didn't want any problems. As I was saying this to him he began chanting please leave please go please leave and wouldn't even listen to what I was saying. I said to him that he was acting unprofessional and he said I am professional this is my store and for us to go. I understand that sometimes people have long days but Derek went out of his way to make our experience bad at his store when he should've just smiled and said thank you for your business. After that happened my stomach was upset and now I feel like I paid $14 for a bad experience and an upset stomach. read more

This review is for Derek 'The Manager' on duty last night I hope you get to see this (I was the quiet one trying to eat my dinner in peace while all that craziness was happening )The unfortunate incident that happened last night at 'your place' could've been easily avoided if you the manager had used some management skills/people skills to handle and diffuse the situation instead you chose to escalate it by first having one of your employees eavesdrop on us and reporting to you our private conversations and secondly by you approaching us in a very aggressive manner and in a threatening tone demanding 'which one of you called me a B? Huh? Which one of you now?' Needless to say things went south from there very quickly It was shocking to say the least. I was thinking maybe lack of training and discipline but no, you sir have a bad attitude problem and an ego to match, attributes that have no place in the customer service industry. I worked in customer service for forty plus years and this is one of the worst I've ever encountered!
