    Beautiful decoration

The most beautifully decorated McDs around for the holidays. Balloon Grinch Christmas tree and more. Went in to try the McRib... its a once in a lifetime type of thing. I was very pleasantly surprised with the holiday decorations here. Somebody really went above and beyond. I've been to other locations and none other stand a chance in the award for most spirited McDs. I was very impressed - so were the children - people would do photos with the Grinch - I think that is better than with Santa. My McRib is what you would expect from McDs. It isn't exactly gourmet and it won't win any Michelin Stars but I liked it. It was yuuuge!! I would have rather had the Grinch meal but those are long sold out. Grinch cups are festive - and they have those at all locations. Speedy delivery of food and I ordered at the kiosk. It is all really fast service - so much better than the other one I frequent in Dublin when I'm gettin wheel and tire work done next door at Big O. I love the Grinch. I have my own little Grinch stuff toy that my cat tries to steal from me. I yell at him and finally found it was best to just hide it in the car. Don't forget the Grinch is really a wonderful guy - His heart grew 5 sizes larger way back when.

Inefficient service. Mistakes when ordering from the counter. Sloppy food construction. Messy and dirty tables. Ugh.

The BOGO deals on the McDonald's app are always solid. We grabbed hash browns and sausage burritos and everything came out hot and fresh. The sausage egg McMuffin was great, and my wife and son enjoyed their McGriddles. Quick and consistent stop this morning.

This is my first time at this location, but received nothing except phenomenal service. Food is fresh and delicious as though a new batch of fries was just made. The staff working drive-thru need a raise! I told the person who my order can keep the change which hope he takes as a tip. The lady who gave me my food was nothing but sweet and respectful, they both are amazing employees.

Where is the rest of the chocolate sundae? I payed $4.50 for this

Went thru the drive thru . There was no car ahead of me and went right to order . I ordered a strawberry sundae. They were out of strawberry . They had caramel and chocolate. I order the chocolate . Pulled up to pick up my order . Fast service . I had asked for peanuts . The employee handed me napkins . I asked again for peanuts . Employee said they don't serve peanuts anymore . That's fine with me . It's been a long time since I've been to McDonalds and maybe because of allergies. I understand . The sundae was so tiny . It was smaller than the cup. When I used to get a sundae it was big and overflowing from the cup. I payed $4.50

    Shamrock Milkshake with chocolate syrup

We came to this McDonald's and my daughter ordered the Shamrock Milkshake and added chocolate syrup. She didn't like the taste of it, so I decided to bring it to the counter asking the employee if we could just exchange it for a Vanilla instead. She talked to the manager and she just looked over and me then told her "We had to pay for another one" I even asked for a smaller size and the employee still refused saying I had to buy another one. This is the first time I ever asked McDonald's about exchanging it for a different flavor and I didnt expect them to do it even before we walked up to the counter. Sure enough they said no. I was just like oh ok. We wont be coming back to this location in Castro Valley. The manager didnt even bother walking over to the counter. When I was 18 I use to work for Carl's Jr. We exchanged food all the time because we wanted our customers to be satisfied. (No complaints) McDonald's will generally exchange a milkshake if a customer does not like the taste. Replacement Policy: Most McDonald's locations will remake a drink or swap it for a different flavor if you are unsatisfied, often adhering to the "customer is always right" principle. What to Do: If you are unhappy with your milkshake, take it back to the counter or drive-thru window and politely explain the issue. Conditions: While many locations will offer a free replacement, some managers may require you to return the original item

Just serve ice cream FFS. The store is open 24/7. Either serve it consistently or don't serve it at all.

Me and a friend made our way here to find the drive through was extremely long. Then, we decided to park at the Walmart parking lot and proceed to walk. There was no line in the restaurant but people scattered around waiting for their food. We literally waited 30 minutes for our food. Considering the cost of food, long wait is expected. Not sure if it's the busy season or the way they make their food, the fries were nasty. They were dry and hard, not just one piece but the whole tray. Salt packets were provided. Burger... ugh. I had better In-N-Out Burgers in Texas than this these in California. For God Sakes... In-N-Out Burger is originally from California. But the quality is in below my expectations.

Honestly, that's the kind of detail that separates a decent breakfast burrito from a great one, and it's the first thing I noticed when I unwrapped mine. I'd heard about Smack Burger through their food truck and always liked their smash burgers, but recently I kept seeing people call their breakfast burrito one of the best in the Bay Area. I'm from LA, where good breakfast burritos are everywhere, so I've been on a bit of a hunt since moving up here 10 years ago. That reputation was enough to get me to drive out to San Leandro. Fair warning if you're planning a visit, parking in that plaza is rough. It took me about 20 minutes to find a spot, and I'd ordered ahead for pickup, so I ended up missing my pickup window by about 20 minutes too. If you're ordering online, build in extra time before you even think about walking up to the counter. The pickup itself was quick and totally neutral, nothing special either way. I gave my name, they double checked my last name, handed me the bag. No complaints there. They do have a small outside patio, which was great because I had my dog with me. Ate outside in the sun, which was nice. The burrito comes boxed, wrapped in foil, and already cut in half, which I appreciated. Inside was bacon, egg, cheese, tater tots, and I added avocado and chives. The eggs were fluffy, the cheese was melty, and both the bacon and the tater tots were still crispy, which honestly is the most important thing for me. Crispy potatoes are the real dividing line between a good breakfast burrito and a world class one, and this one delivered. My one gripe is distribution. The ingredients were kind of localized instead of spread evenly throughout, so depending on which part of the burrito you're biting into, you might get mostly potatoes in one bite and mostly egg in the next. I like an even ratio in every bite, so that knocked it down slightly for me. Still tasted great regardless, just something to know going in. They also serve with jalapeno crema, and they don't skimp on it, mine came with two containers. It's creamy with a nice bit of heat, but if you want something to cut through the richness instead of adding to it, I'd bring your own green salsa. The crema is good, but it's rich on rich, and sometimes you want that acid to balance the fat. Everything was still hot and fresh by the time I sat down. I paid around 17 dollars for the bacon breakfast burrito with chives and avocado added, which felt fair for what I got. Would I order this again? Absolutely. Next time I'd skip the pickup and just wait for it fresh, and I'd probably bring my own salsa to balance the crema. I'd also try it with onions and chives just to see. If you're a breakfast burrito person like me, this one's worth the parking headache. Just plan ahead.

I got the tater tots with the extra avocado (extra $2) for a total of $13, which I think is very reasonably priced. Pros: - HUGE portions. Their burrito and their tots are huge - I ended up only eating half to 3 quarters of it for lunch and ate the leftovers later. - Very reasonably priced for the quantity you get in today's economy. It's rare to leave any restaurant for under $30 for 2 people, but we made that happen haha - The green sauce is very tasty - Avocado was fresh and great addition to the egg and tots - We didn't have any issues finding parking on a Sunday during lunch time - as long as you're okay taking a short walk - Pretty fast service, the food came out in less than 5 mins - Very casual burger joint, like the same level of casual as In-N-Out. Fun ambiance. Cons: - I think because of my age I really struggled with the greasiness of the tots. but I still ate them lol

Recently, I ate in person and the food came out piping hot. Service was great but also, I noticed the staff cleaning each table and the bathroom was also fairly clean. There was also a staff going around making sure everyone's orders were good. I thought that was great to see and enjoyed the spotless environment. Of course the main star is the food and it definitely lives up to the hype IMO. It's just classic chicken tenders and crinkle cut fries but when it's piping hot, it's super delicious and can't beat the good service too.

OK for fried chicken fingers but nothing exceptionally amazing…read more This location is definitely more focused on being a drive-through spot. If you're walking in, the entrance is almost hard to find. There's 2 separate entrances but the doors are single doors in black with no particular effort on the store's part to make the entrance look welcoming. Once you do make it inside though, it is a fun vibe with large disco balls overhead. Their chicken fingers is what's famous. I do think their breading is nice and manages to stay crispy even after bringing it back home to eat 15 minutes later. Flavor isn't particular special. Definitely needs Cane sauce. Fun fact, if you like their sauce, I heard you can order a whole cup's worth. The Texas toast is amazing though. It's a bit sweet, a bit salty from the butter, and it's toasted for a light crisp. Absolutely delicious. Recommend getting the toast with every purchase! The tea was surprisingly not as sweet as I expected. I usually have to mix my McD's sweet tea down with half unsweetened tea so I did that with my tea at Cane's and found it much less sweeter than I thought. Gonna go for full sweet tea next time.
