Stopped by Raising Cane's because I had to stop by T-Mobile anyhow. Haven't had Raising Canes in a long time since there aren't locations in the Bay Area so I thought I'd grab some on the way out since I don't normally come to this area. I parked my car to walk into the restaurant and a security guard was as the door saying the restaurant isn't open and I'd have to go through drive thru. I figured this was due to the area so I hopped in my car and got confused in the parking lot trying to find the drive thru. There's two lanes for the drive thru and I'm not sure how they decided who went first but it seemed that the outer lane was moving faster than the inner lane. When I finally got my order in, everything was pretty quick from there and the lady at the window was nice enough but a bit flustered. When I got home, I was disappointed when I opened my meal. The chicken strips were so small even if they were nicely made. This is different from what I've been used to in Portland, Hawaii and Vegas. I ended up having to go walk to McDonalds to get some more food. I don't think I'll be back. read more

HUGE Disappointment... We drove from Brentwood to Oakland to go to Raising Cane. We definitely expected a long wait in the line to place our order but we certainly didn't expect to have to wait 25 minutes when they told me to pull over to the side and that they would bring my order out to me. Meanwhile several cars are going by getting their orders and leaving..I had to go knock on the glass door for somebody to come to me and ask where is my order and the person who answered the door said let me go get a manager for you, but before that happened the manager spoke on an intercom that I can hear outside in a very very rude tone and said "we're waiting on your extra crispy chicken" but it was the way she said it over the intercom instead of coming to the door to talk to me. Not only that, but when we got the food it wasn't even crispy it was like KFC original recipe texture and it was cold!!! I asked for my bread to be grilled on both sides It wasn't... so either they got mad that I was knocking on the door and gave me some crappy food or this is just how the service is here on a regular. The customer service there was absolutely horrible and it wasn't worth that long drive because our food was not that great. It is as cold AND My order was incorrect. I would highly recommend you think twice before you drive out here. And for the record this is Saturday it was at 1:00 and it was the manager on duty that got on the intercom to speak to me rudely. read more

Worst fried chicken in the Bay, holy gosh dang. I got takeout for lunch one day & the breading on the chicken was all separated by the time I got back to the office. Zero crunch at all/soggy, dry chicken, and with all the hype - it was such a letdown. I'll be recommending my friends & fam stick to Dave's Hot, KFC, Popeye's & such. This is a new location but the interior is not open for inside dining. Take out and drive through only. Also no cash payment accepted, no cash on premise. Don't be deceived by the drive through line - even when it looks short - it takes a loooooong time! We waited almost 30min!!! Unlike other locations that use both pick up lanes; this location only uses both ordering lanes then merges back to one payment/pickup lane so it is super slow and confusing!! The food was a similarly disappointing experience. Every single chicken finger wqs soggy and only partially breaded. And the chicken was dry, which is unusual for Canes. The fries were incredibly salty - so salty that we couldn't even rub the salt off and had to throw some away. They also got the drink order wrong, sigh. Hot mess new location. It's too bad since it looks great from the outside and the security guard was super nice helping to direct the confusing drive through lines. read more

I usually don't like to complain, but my recent experience at the Oakland Edgewater location was very disappointing. I've always enjoyed Cane's Chicken, yet the woman who took my order over the intercom was extremely rude. She was impatient, repeatedly responded with "What?" instead of "Excuse me?", and generally spoke to me in an impolite manner. I felt rushed, even though I was ordering with my young son in the car. I also sensed that her attitude may have been influenced by my accent, which left me feeling singled out. According to the receipt, her name is Angel. I believe she could benefit from additional customer-service training to ensure that all customers are treated with courtesy and respect. read more

I usually don't leave reviews, but I felt this experience should be shared. The woman who took my order was very rude and showed little to no customer service. I simply asked her to repeat my total because I didn't hear it clearly, and she responded with an attitude over such a simple request. The rest of the staff were pleasant, so this wasn't a reflection of everyone working there. I understand that everyone has bad days, but customers shouldn't be treated poorly because of it. Drive thru only location. Be prepared to wait 20+ minutes. Very friendly service and drive thru speaker sounds was good. Overall a mediocre visit, the quantity of fries with the 3 finger combo were about half as many as normal and not very warm. The 3 chicken fingers were considerably smaller than all other locations I have been but of course they charge you the same price $12.30. Tip: Happy they give 10% Hero discount for Veteran/Military. read more

This spot is drive thru only and it's interesting how the two lines intersect into one when you are approaching the window. Food: The chicken fingers look a bit small but they were loaded with flavor and filled me up. The sauce they give you is so good when you pair it with the chicken. The chicken is made fresh with a nice crunch. The fries are good too! The bread was very buttery. Ambiance: The workers are nice and know what they're doing. Raising Canes robbed me, I ordered a caniac combo which is like $20 and they gave me a 3 piece thats crazy.

Can never go wrong with Raising Canes, so we made a quick stop at Oakland location since it was on my way to my appointment. Noticed the parking lot was empty which was kind of odd and then realized from the security that it's only drive thru only. The team was really nice and the speaker for the drive thru was clear. I got the chicken sandwich which is always good and my daughter got the caniac combo and the fries were good and the toast is always on point. I get the hype now! We were in the area around 4pm and decided to stick it out and see if we could get lucky in line for Raising Canes. I had heard this place always has lines and they weren't wrong. The drive through is long but the fact they could make fried chicken for that volume for a drive through is crazy and skillful. Expect to wait in line at minimum of 30-1hour. Ended up getting the boxed meal with four tenders, a toast, fries, coleslaw, and a drink. It comes with one sauce so you definitely want to get extra sauce. Chicken was crunchy but moist. The tenders weren't huge so you could get the box set and save leftovers. Menu is small so not overwhelming and you get a lot of bang for your buck for around $14-$15 a meal, with more food than most other fast food places. read more

I was going to give this place a lower rating do to the hoops you have to jump through to get your food and the long line but I understand. It's for everyone's safety. The food was fresh. I can understand why there is a long line if you are into fast food and chicken tenders this is the place for you. I cannot see myself going back anytime soon because I need something a little more satisfying if I'm going to do fast food. Nothing bad about the food, but mainly the location of this place. Probably not the best idea to visit at night after a concert/event... Lots of armed security inside and out of this location- it's recommended to keep your windows up unless you're ordering or getting your food at the window. We have a big f 150 truck and it was hard to turn into the lane we had to back up a couple of time to turn into the drive thru lane. Other had to as well. We ended up scraping our car, we asked for the manager and he told us U-Haul truck have done it. Then said if we continue to be disrespectful we would have to get out of line. There's nothing special either about their fries and toast. They also taste like frozen fries and frozen Texas toast. They include a sauce that tastes like thick Thousand Island dressing. The chicken fingers could use a little seasoning, the fries were good, but got cold quick, and the Texas Toast is the bomb. Bread is my weakness. I could go there just for the toast. The dining area isn't open ONLY the drive thru. The employees aren't outside taking orders anymore. So it takes a little longer. They have two lanes, but it merges into one after you place your order. They are cashless, so be sure you have your debit/credit card. I'm not sure if they use the tap n pay through your phones wallet. The area is foul. The main street that they're on (Hegenberger Rd) is notorious for car break ins, so don't go if you're coming from or going to the Oakland Airport with luggage in your car. read more

I came to Cane's visiting family. We were at the drive through at 12:30 on Monday we got our order at 12:45 around a 15 min wait. They only have a drive through it seemed like the inside seating was closed. We just ate in the car near the parking lot. I been to the other Cane's in Southern California and the service for this one is a tad slower than others. I got the caniac combo(19.99) with the coleslaw replaced with another bread both sides toasted. I love their sauce and the tenders were super juicy and tasty. My main observation was the chicken tenders seem to be smaller now compared to before. However the taste was the same very juicy chicken tenders and delicious. This is my 3rd time trying Raising Cane's but first time at this location. Disappointed with this location. I want a huge fan of this chain to begin with ( my son is a big fan however). First off, no dine-in, only drive-thru. Secondly, their chicken fingers are so tiny (I should have read the reviews before coming here) the chicken fingers are about 1/2 or 2/3 of the size at other locations! I tried their location in Davis and another location up North near Fairfield. The portions there were huge. Look, I've mostly had great experiences ordering here and the food is delicious...But today was not ok. I had four hungry high school baseball players in my car and myself, the chauffeur of the evening who was also hungry. We order 5 meals. She repeats the order back and the cost. We go to the first window and pay. Wait for the car in front of us for a few minutes and finally get to the second window and we are given 4 meals, 3 drinks and no jug of ice tea we purchased. She's about to close the window and I tell her that's not our full order. She's gives us the two extra drinks and then gives me attitude when I ask about the jug of ice tea. She proceeds to say they are out of jugs so I will be refunded the money and closes the window on us! Now, do I expect to get that refund? No. How you gonna remember to take that off later when you have 20 orders behind me? Then, to top it off, when we drive away we realize we only got 4 meals instead of 5. Good thing is we were never charged for that 5th one (we should have double checked the order). But guess who went home hungry? Mom/the chauffeur, of course. Not a good experience.
