The ordering kiosk is the only thing really worth using at this location. Drive thru is the exact opposite of fast food. You can never get through it in less than 15 minutes. This has to be one of the most frustrating McDonald's I have visited. There are times when everything goes well. Then other times are unacceptable. There has been three times this year that I have been there and they did not have any ketchup, twice no straws, twice no sweet n sour sauce, once no coke, and once no eggs for breakfast. A few weeks ago I had an issue with the first drive-thru window worker. A rude lady behind me in the line was honking me and then jumped the line. Yes, she jumped the drive-thru line. When she was at the window she was laughing with the cashier so being the person I was I honked at her. I had two young children in the car that were hungry and this rude lady was just being impossible. Well, when I went to pay the cashier gave me a look that could kill and then said "I'm not waiting on you" and walked off. I sat there amazed at what just happened. Finally the Crew Leader came up and completed my order. I was dumbfounded to say the least. I immediately called the phone number on the window for "compliments or compliments" and reported the issue. To this day I haven't heard a word from this and I refuse to go back to this McDonald's. Then today I get a call from my daughter and she told me that her and her two babies went through this same drive-thru and had a horrible experience as well. She told me that after sitting in line for 20 minutes she pulls up to the second window and the lady handed her a bag with a straw in it then proceeded to had her drinks. She told the lady that it wasn't her order because she didn't order any drinks. My daughter told the lady her order and she was told that it wasn't on her screen then asked my daughter if she had paid. My daughter said "yes, that's why I'm in line". Before my daughter could get her receipt out the lady beside of the window worker said "I don't know why she's giving you such an attitude, I'd just smack her". This went all over my daughter and she insisted on talking to the manager. Of course she was told that the situation would be handled but I'm sure it won't be. If you want to be treated with respect go somewhere else!! I drive out of my way to avoid this place and would advise others to do the same. read more

I've been to this McDonald's a few times. There's always a line but I've never had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for my food. My last time visiting however, I received cold fries and I asked for new, fresh fries and the manager told me it would be about 3 minutes. About 20 seconds went by and the manager had returned to my table with the fries. I tasted them and realized they were the exact same fries and they had just put more salt on them. I took them back again and this time I waited by the counter to make sure I actually got fresh fries. I was refunded for the fries and was given the fresh ones. Even though it took a few tries I was pleased in the end. They should just always make sure that the food they're serving customers is fresh. read more

I have been to this location 3 times in the last year or so. The first time was before COVID and I used the drive-thru around 8:00 PM and got 3 meals. The fries were all cold and seemed like they had been sitting around for hours. At that point, I said I would never return, but a few weeks ago I decided to give them another chance and things were fine. Today I think will be the last time I visit this location. I arrived around 11:00 AM when one would assume you should at least receive fries that were recently cooked. However, the fries were inedible in my opinion. They were overcooked and again seem like they had been sitting around for several hours. I would think there is some standard of food that you are giving to people. Furthermore, I paid for a large and received a medium. It was not one of the days I felt like returning to correct the order. I tend to be pretty patient with fast food as I anticipate needing to warm up fries sometimes, but these fries were not salvageable. I doubt I will return to this location. read more

Im a little annoyed because every time I come here the soda is not working so i can not get my usual diet coke. One time I asked so how long until it is fixed all it took was for a employee to go change out the soda bag so now im curious to is it really broken or is the employee just lazy. Went through the drive thru. Was pretty fast, but you can tell it's run by lazy teenagers. My order was wrong...it was cold and soggy. Didn't get the right amount of chicken nuggets. What a bunch of jerks! I had to talk to two different managers, one picked a fight, I called the main manager and he never called back. All I wanted was to have three sundays put in one cup. I agreed to pay more, but no, I had to get three Sundays in open containers. All I asked was to put it in one cup. Is that so hard? maybe save a few wasted sunday cups ? I called back and asked for permission to get it all in one cup, and he told the secretary to tell me no and he can't have the employees meter out that amount..clearly he thinks his employees are dumb and can't handle it on their own. This McDonald's has the best service out of all the McDonald's in the Richmond area. They will have your food out in the quickest time. The food is always fresh, and I have never complained once about how they have prepared my order. This is one of the newest McDonald's in Richmond. It opened up during the summer of 2009. Love how this location is only 5 minutes away from where I live. A huge plus is that the drive-thru window is open 24 hours! read more

Should have known better. Thought I'd give them another try. Got to the drive-thru at 7AM with no other cars in line. I thought this would be easy, they're slow enough to not mess up the order this time. Immediately the manager, whose voice I recognized from prior mishaps, picked up and said she would be with me in 'just a second'. Well I waited while other cars pulled up. And then sat and watched as they took 3 cars in the OTHER drive thru lane, effectively moving me from FIRST in line to FOURTH or FIFTH depending on how long I decided to put up with the bullsh!t. Yelled at the speaker, no response, so left. Once I got back on the road, I noticed the truck behind me in the same line also leaving without his food. Seriously - why have 2 drive thrus if you can't man them effectively??? I went to the Brandermill McDonald's hoping for rescue and after their mangling my order through the speaker, finally got the food I wanted. A biscuit and a coffee! How difficult is that? I used to frequent Hancock Village McD's EVERY DAY WITH THE SAME ORDER but stopped due to mistakes. This was, I had hoped, another attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt, that they were short-staffed. Yeah I get it - every place is short staffed. I go to this Mcdonald's pretty often, because it's close to me. I go and sit down and eat with my friends here a lot, and the food is just like Mcdonald's food should be. A few of the workers here do make the experience a lot worse than it should be. They're rude and complain when we come in and use the mobile app to save on food we buy. read more

The absolute slowest McDonalds ever! Just spent over 24 minutes in the drive through. Their system is not working with the dual widow ordering as they screw up so much! I had ordered an unsweetened ice tea and finally got to the pick up window and they did not know what tea I had ordered. They are going downhill fast. I decided to try the new fresh beef, freshly made quarter pounder with cheese tonight. There was one car ahead of me on drive thru and one car behind me. It's about 11pm at night. When I pulled up to the window, my hamburger had already been made. I told the young man at the window that someone cooked that hamburger waaayyy too fast. In hindsight, I wished I had checked the sandwich before I left the drive thru. When I got home to eat it, the hamburger meat wasn't cooked thoroughly. It was cooked medium rare....basically, it was RAW on the inside!! The bottom bun was saturated in grease and red juices from the undercooked meat!! They didn't even bother to put any cheese on the bottom bun. There wasn't even a full slice of cheese on the top. The quarter pounder with cheese has TWO full slices of cheese.....right?? It certainly is advertised as such. I was totally grossed out. If McDonalds is going to be taking it up a notch by cooking made-to-order hamburgers, they should employ someone who, first, knows how to cook, and, second, employ someone who gives a darn about the quality of food that is being served to its customers. I'm sure that the LAZY person who half-way cooked it wouldn't eat it that way. If I had the energy tonight, I would have taken that hamburger right back to the store and asked for my $4.52 back. Quality should not have to suffer just because McDonalds sell cheap fast food. They know that quarter pound of meat should have been thoroughly cooked. Hamburger meat already has a bad rep because of mad cow disease. I'm not trying to get sick because of someone else's laziness and carelessness. read more
