Reasonably quick for being busy, a little more expensive (given that it's an airport), and the staff was curt but efficient. Not the best location, but it works for what I wanted (a drink and hashed brown). I do wish they had burgers all day, though. Traveling from everywhere in the world, I could want dinner, not breakfast... They have gotten better over the years and tried to improve the pick-up, announcing numbers, etc. of the order. read more

It's 8:20 am, my anemic self just wants some sugar in my blood to prevent the fainting that will inevitably come with the lack of oxygen coming in from my N95. I see those two beautiful golden arches and a fast moving line and I decide to treat myself to an iced mocha with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. It was gross. The chocolate syrup tasted like clorox, and there was probably 1tbsp of coffee in there. It was essentially just flavored milk. The only thing they got right was the whipped cream. The whipped cream was fine if you like the spray-bottle brand. Will not be treating myself to iced mochas at McDonalds anymore. Failure smells of cloroxy chocolate syrup. read more

Just stopped at the McDonald's at b14. It's recently changed to a 24 hour airport McDonald's . I got to work early and thought I would get a burger. I'm greeted by a employee from the back of the grill area where everyone was hanging out by being told. " we ain't open". I pointed to the sign that said open 24hrs. I explained to the girl the difference of opened and closed. The manager came up and explained they had been transitioning from dinner to breakfast and apologized. It is a small Micky D's, near the escalators when you come up out of the tunnell that connects Concourse C with Councourse A and B. But it is busy, and a zoo! You order, then pay, then they give you a receipt with a number on it, and another one prints out for them to process internally to get you your order. Then you stand aside and wait. And wait. And wait. Its hard for all those big meaty burgers and milkshakes to move fast in that small space! So you wait some more. Hopefully you have some time to make your connection! Then when your number is not called, you ask them, what about #249? Breakfast Part II (on my return flight to Los Angeles). Considering that the flight from Detroit to Chicago was so short and gaining a hour with the time zone change, it was still very early in Chicago when we landed. I needed to eat something because it was a long flight to LAX and I had to eat the ground running when I got there. Similar to Detroit, there was not much open for breakfast. There were a few pre-packaged options, some pastry shops and a food court with unappealing options. I decided to visit (yet another) McDonald's in Concourse C of the United terminal. I went with a sausage burrito and an orange juice. They messed up the order and gave me two sausage burritos (and no drink) instead. I did not bother to correct (unless it is really super critical, I hardly correct an order). I picked up a drink elsewhere. Anyway, the sausage burritos were fine. Very similar to what you would get at any other McDonald's. The line moved quickly. I wish I could have tried something other than McDonald's, but this concourse seems like a better option for lunch rather than breakfast. 2.5 stars. read more

It's unfortunate I can't give zero stars, because, that's what my experience was. High volume store, cause obviously, it's in the airport. Wait in the long line just to get a lady on her personal phone speaking in Spanish. I had to repeat my order several times as she's talking into the phone with her friend in Spanish, while getting frustrated at me when I pause cause, she's speaking over me into the phone with her friend. Ends up getting my order completely wrong, I'm on the other side of the terminal now, and even if I did, I have a connection to make! So now I have the wrong drink and the wrong sauce and cold fries. wtf, this was the slowest service at a McDonald's I have ever had. We ordered 2 cokes, 10 piece mcnuggets and 2 large fries. There weren't many customers at the time and a lot of employees. Yet it was so frustratingly slow. We were exchanging looks with the two other customers making wtf faces and wondering what the deal was. I was thinking of rescinding the order to get a refund and just leaving but we ended up waiting it out.. almost 20 minutes! It was annoying. Big Mac Attack! After a long hard night of drinking, I've discovered the best Big Mac in Chicago. This artisan-crafted burger was cooked to perfection (medium-well); the meat was tenderized, juicy, savory; the pickles were really good. The iceberg lettuce (shredded of course) added an amazing texture that had my taste buds saying, "Wow." The sesame seeds on the bun were divinely distributed and looked like little Easter eggs. Trust me, don't go to any other restaurant in Chicago. This one's worth the trip. read more

Ok positive is that easy to get to and decently fast. Biggest complaint is every employee looks angry and as if they are doing you a favor. Dont think about a smile or greeting. Even for a mcdonalds it is pretty bad. I got an egg white mcmuffin and it looked like a truck hit it. The egg white was basically a big glob instead of a round pancake shape. Food wise, this is an oasis at one end of the Terminal. Most of the food is at the other end. Despite the fact that they know that they have a captive audience, this McDonald's is pretty good. Most importantly - almost more importantly than food quality[1] - they've got a system set up that allows them to take orders as quickly as possible, and pass the food out as quickly as possible. I've never seen food sit at this place; it's always too busy. You can get your food and be gone in 5 or less, which is great when you're trying to catch a plane. Worst service ever! Worker was taking my order while having a full on co versatile with her co-workers! She got our order wrong and when we asked to correct it they threw us the order over the counter, never apologized but instead they rolled they're eyes. This place is a joke. Placed my order for a couple frozen desserts and waited 10+ minutes and realized people with large orders placed after mine were being called up. I walk up to the pickup window and am completely ignored for another 5 minutes as orders are being given out around me with no aknowledgement of my existence. Even u finally demanded a workers attention and told him those were my orders melting over there, he simply said 'oh, I don't get tickets for those items.' The camaraderie here is no bueno. I watched my order ticket fall under the counter as they frantically hung it up. I politely told them about the instance and they claimed "I was good". As they continued to serve 69 other customers who ordered after me, I remind them again. They basically then just handed me someone else's order and skidaddle me away. Idk what's worse? Bathe people taking the orders or the people making the food. After a long horrible day of flying the captain let me run off and grab some food before our last flight. Came to mcdonalds and the chick who took my order was definition of rude. Don't expect a hello or smile. The service is terrible. The people work in this place don't smile and say hi to the customers. I had to wait for my smoothie because they forgot to make it. Then when i bring the food to my table i realized that they forgot the fork and knife. The manager was very nice, she said sorry to me and gave me free pie but the other people work there they just walk away. Then i went back to my table again and realized they forgot my bottle of water. I went back for my water. There was no manager at that time and the 2 employees they just walk away and put the water in front of me with attitude and don't say anything at all. McDonald's is open super early and I can get a couple of those awesome hash browns while waiting to board my 5AM flight. Fast, courteous, organized and comforting. As I am partial to McDonald's, I like to visit locations as I travel throughout the world. Here at O'Hare in Chicago, there are several spots. At this location, they have the yummiest McMuffin of them all - the Steak, Egg and Cheese McMuffin. A very hearty sandwich that keeps me sated at least until I get to the west coast. This McMuffin isn't offered throughout the fifty states so I'm always so happy when I can find it. It also has grilled onions in it, which really balances everything out. I usually remove one part of the muffin - otherwise I'd be stuffed to the gills! Oh - and because I usually eat the hash brown, the extra piece of bread is just a detail! read more

This McDonalds is literally the only choice now for anyone arriving internationally at Chicago. Which would be great if you were greeted with typical American style service - but instead the staff there are pretty much based on the British grumpy model. Biggest problem is this location (L concourse at O'Hare) has TWO huge signs that say OPEN 24 HOURS. Not the case. We were told it opens at 4 am. However, IT DID NOT OPEN UNTIL 4:30 am. FOR SHAME. There was a huge line of people waiting, and nothing. There is nothing open on the L concourse prior to 4 am, and it is really horrible to have over 100 people waiting in line for a restaurant that can't even open on time. We went to get coffee at Gold Coast Dogs next to the McDonald's. Both Starbucks and Gold Coast opened on time (Gold Coast a little early). The employees at Gold Coast were even making comments about the McDonald's and how it is never open on time in the early morning. read more
