My initial experiences with the Dripping Springs location were awful. It took forever to get my small, simple order, and when I did it was cold and stale. A few months ago, I was being driven home in the very early morning after a minor medical procedure, and it was the only place open. I was starving, so we stopped and I ordered the big breakfast. Was I surprised! It was hot, fresh, and delicious. Granted, I was just recovering from anesthesia, but it all tasted great to me! I can't speak to their ambiance because we ordered at the drive-thru. On a Friday, lunchtime, and we see a Mickey Ds! Time for a filet 'o fish! The McD's fish sandwich is a favorite... Especially for folks like us who eat very little fast food. It's always a treat to grab one every once in a blue moon. We do special order the sandwiches (tartar sauce on the side) so we always get fish fillets fresh out of the fryer! LOL This location in dripping Springs was nice, very clean, playground for the kids, and was pretty crowded for an early afternoon on a Friday. So...you drive up...place your order...they repeat your order and ask if it looks right on the screen....thennnn they proceed to give you the wrong order!? Just awful, even for McDonalds. They open late daily and their morning staff is incredibly rude and short with their customers. Also, they have a new worker in the drive though who is completely unhelpful. It is a guy with a high-pitched voice who always tells me that my app codes don't work. I show him my phone and he just shrugs and says that it doesn't work. He's done this upwards of 10x. It's incredible how unwilling they are to help or try things for a second time. read more

I had a very pleasant surprise when I went to the Dripping Springs location today. I was short on time and decided to go through the drive-thru for a burger. Based on previous experiences here, my expectations were very low. I only hoped for something edible. Wow! Was I surprised! The employees were very professional and very nice, even asked if I needed condiments or anything else at the pickup window. My burger bun was actually toasted! I had no idea McD ever did that. The burger was made well, piping hot, and had the ingredients I requested. They must have new management. Whatever changed, I am thankful and we will return. Terrible customer service today. I went inside to get ketchup since there was none in my bag when I went thru drive-thru. No big deal, people, we all, forget so I went in to get some for my son. The manager one gave me 1 packet and I asked if I could have some of the big packets in drive-thru. He looked at me and his employee next to him and said those are for drive thru. Really I thought? I was just in drive thru and no one gave me any ketchup. I know it sounds dumb like it's only ketchup but it's a condiment that comes with the meal that you pay for. This is my first review to ever submit on a food place; however, after seeing all the negative reviews, I felt like I needed to defend my favorite "go to" place. I LOVE my Mickey-D's! My husband just returned to our hotel with our breakfast and he said everything went very smoothly. Order, service, food . . . all exactly as it should be. We had the grandkids for a week, so on the last night we had them we decided to take them to McDonald's so they could play on the playground, get a happy meal and some ice cream. The girl at the counter was so overjoyed to take our order she was acting like we were annoying her by being there and ordering. The inside playground was probably 20 degrees hotter than the rest of the restaurant. The ice/coke machines were dirty and one was out of ice. The Wi-Fi is sooo slow it won't even work. What's the point of even having Wi-Fi if it's useless. The happy meals had a funky toy, so the grandkids asked for a different one, but were told no substitutions? What? They always ask for a different or better toy than the one they received if they don't like it. The other employees were playing tag by throwing napkins at each other. WOW! Should be ZERO stars! We arrived at 5:50 AM, when the restaurant opened at 5:00 AM. They had to unlock the door. Then, it was 5 minutes before we were told, "We will be right with you." After helping 2 drive thru customers, the worker took our order. No sausage burritos (they weren't ready?). After 10 minutes (of them steady putting out drive thru orders), I asked for my coffee and the food that was ready. She fixed my coffee and handed me all my food that was sitting on the counter (not under a warmer). The food was lukewarm. This is the worse McDonald's I have ever been to. I have been there 3 times in the last two weeks. I have waited almost 30 minutes each time and my food was cold. This morning 5/5 I tried the mobile app to save time since we're trying to get our son to baseball and there were complications. While waiting for my order there were customers in line waiting 10 minutes before even placing an order.
