Always have to stop into a thundercloud subs when I'm in town. They have amazing subs, fresh produce that's delicious and local bread. The service is always with a smile. Since my early 20s it's been a special place for me and my closest friends. The vibe is totally austin, hippy happy and humble. Definitely and austin staple

i would sell my kidney for this

Stacy from this location made me the best club sandwich I've ever had in my life. When I ate this sandwich my third eye opened and I ascended to heaven above. It was delicious. I'm coming back just for her, someone give this woman a raise and a badge of honor.

I give this a solid 2 stars. The sandwich was fair, the place is a bit dirty and dated, the prices are fair, the service was good though. I feel you get a much better experience at the awesome place across the street from here. The sandwiches, the atmosphere and the service is better over there.

Pretty good sandwiches at an affordable price. I've noticed it does take a while to make them some days. Don't forget to get a cookie.

O---M---GOSH! if you havent tried this place, RUN, do not WALK!…read more my group of 6 all ordered different sammies, ALL WERE LOADED down with proteins! AKA MEAT! toppings were fresh around the board - and everyone raved about their sandwiches - all had different breads and they were talked about too. i got the french dip $15 and could only manage to put away 1/4 of it. meat was tender & well seasoned, good cheese ratio (i skipped onions & horseradish mayo) and au jus was very good. cant remember the last time a group order or various dishes received rave reviews across the board! side special of carrot fries was hot, fresh, well salted & surprisingly yummy. i dont like carrots - in any form - but i guess i have now found a form i like! side cheese curls was SO chewy-licious seasoned in garlic butter! and dont skip the desserts! several of us got the lemon bar $4 which was everything bright and good! i also got a NY style b&w cookie $5 that was a big as my hand. service was fast & friendly and amazingly perfectly accurate - important if you are taking food to go. which might be a good idea at peak times. seating at bar, and a few hightops with 2 hightops for 2 outside. also a picnic table outside. we all have other dishes we are anxious to go back and try. and in a town where a lot of places roll up their shops after lunch, its nice that turcotte's stays open til 9. meats by the pound available as well.

It was probably close to a lb of meat. The roast beef was fresh and I ate it all after a 5 mile hike. The venue is super cute and surprising to be in a strip mall. The family who owns and runs it is super nice. I would come back to try their other sandwiches because my friend said the Reuben was really good. I will update my review after I try another sandwich.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Thyme & Dough…read more Per my confirmed order ticket, I arrived and placed my order at 9:13 a.m. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches and two iced coffees, and my total came to $42.80, including a 20% tip. After waiting over 20 minutes without any update, I asked around 9:34 a.m. how much longer my order would take. Instead of simply apologizing or providing an update, the employee checked my payment time and told me that the wait was "right on target" for a good breakfast. When I politely expressed that the wait seemed excessive for what I had ordered, she reiterated that this was normal and that good food takes time to prepare. I didn't feel those comments were necessary--they made me feel dismissed rather than understood. She also stated there had been a long line ahead of us, which wasn't accurate. When I arrived at 9:13, there was only one customer finishing her order at the register. I finally received my food at approximately 9:38 a.m. While I understand that fresh food takes time, a 25-minute wait for two breakfast sandwiches and two iced coffees, especially with no proactive communication, felt excessive. A simple acknowledgment of the delay or a more empathetic response would have made a significant difference. Instead, I left feeling that my concerns were brushed aside. Between the lengthy wait, the dismissive interaction, and the overall experience, I didn't feel the service justified the price or the 20% tip that was included in my purchase. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

My husband and I decided to go out to dinner at Route 12 Filling Station. We drove up and parked…read more We walked in and up to the ordering station and paid after placing our order. The woman working at the register gave us a number and we found a place to sit. The restaurant is large with a lot of seating inside and outside. They also have a bar in one corner of the restaurant. They also have an outdoor area with picnic tables that have umbrellas for shade. Also outside is a small splash pad. After sitting we waited for our food. Our order of chips and salsa came out first. The chips were slightly warm and were light and crispy. The salsa was a little spicy but very addicting. It was good. After a while someone brought us our meal. We ordered and shared two items. We started with the Baja Chicken Sandwich which comes with chicken, bacon, swiss cheese, avacado, lettuce, tomato, and an aioli sauce. When we ordered we requested a fried chicken breast on our sandwich. The sandwich was really good. The chicken breast was moist and the aioli sauce added flavor. The other ingredients gave the sandwich texture while the combination of ingredients made for a yummy sandwich. The Fries that came with the sandwich were okay. They were warm and soft on the inside and seasoned on the outside. We also shared a Hog 12 Pizza which comes with canadian bacon, apple wood bacon, sausage, onions, and mozzarella. It was an interesting combination of flavors. The crust from the pizza was really good. It was light and fluffy. The sausage was spread out in little bites and the flavor was strong. The canadian bacon was spread out in large pieces all over the pizza. They were good but I almost couldn't taste the flavor due to the thinness of the pieces. The apple wood bacon was also spread out on top of the pizza. I'd never seen actual bacon on a pizza. It was good and added a smokey flavor to the pizza. The onions were a good size but there wasn't enough of them to add a lot of flavor. It was an interestingly good pizza. Overall Route 12 is a laid back place to go for a good meal. The have friendly service, it's easy to order, there's plenty of seating, and the food is good. Plus if you don't mind being outside during the warmer weather the splash pad is there for everyone to enjoy.
