I have A LOT to say about this Mcdonald's, first I would like to start with saying I was a crew member at mcdonald's, but i wanna start off by talking ab how extremely unsanitary it is, in the few MONTHS that i had worked there, there was many disgusting sites to see, first WORMS sitting under our frappe machine ( i have a picture), also just the amount of bugs that was inside were disgusting, there would be piles of ants that i had to sweep up just crawling around under the booths, second, hair nets are not even owned in there, i have never seen one person wearing a hairnet, or managers enforcing hairnets, (even the staff in kitchen), they would also allow the women to have their (very long) hair down in ponytails( in kitchen), not to mention the fact that 2 days IN A ROW customers got served "raw" pink meat, i had seen it with my own eyes, it's disgusting to think they didn't even care to check? extremely unsanitary and not safe. As well as the towels we would use to CLEAN OFF TABLES AND CHAIRS, were dirty, the water, that's supposed to be clean, was cold, and dirty, as well as the towels, they would have chunks of food and stains on them, mind you this was the CLEAN towel bin, i had made comments about it to the managers but nothing was ever done about it, and when i was in kitchen the few times i was, i had seen that when someone put something on a sandwich that wasn't to be on there, they would just take the ingredient off and serve that sandwhich (yes even sauce), now that i've gotten the unsanitary issues out of the way, lets move on to the unprofessional issues, first i have seen MANAGERS vaping on shift, and I personally have been asked by a manager if i had a vape she could hit (i was 15), they would go against the crews availability multiple times, their would be no reinforcement or corrections with certain workers because "they have been there for so long" such as a couple things im about to list, a particular coworker that had worker their for a little over a year would deliberately choose the wrong thing when taking orders and when i asked her to stop and why her response was "bc i don't care" and no action was taken, that same coworker would also go into the bathroom on this specific day with me and the manger, and screamed profanities and moaned, while we had customers in lobby, (yes they heard), no repercussions taken, but the funny thing is, i got fired bc i wasn't able to make in it for my 2:45 shift ,without being contacted to discuss or inform me of my termination, i had to call them to ask a question about my position and that's when i got informed, as well as spoken down to by my manger there is many more things i could discuss but honestly i think i've already listed a good some of reasons of what's wrong with that shit hole.

You see this picture, there is something missing, THE FREAKING RANCH!

For some reason, I just recently visited this place for the first time and man -- I'm mad I didn't come sooner. I like burgers -- I like them traditional style, smashed, and with various accoutrements. The State has all of that covered. The restaurant is in a cool historic building and they've preserved some of that history while adding updates to give the place a nice and trendy feel. The staff were friendly and super helpful. You order on a piece of paper by selecting the patty type and size, the bun type and a boat load of sauces, toppings and other fixins. Reminds me of the old school way of ordering an MTO at Sheetz (for anyone that gets that reference). Beyond the burger we tried a milk shake, the fresh cut fries and onion rings. My first visit was spectacular. For two of us our bill was under $30 -- which was beyond reasonable. State Burger -- I think you've nailed it and I can't wait to come back!

My wife was looking and looking and then found this place. It sounded interesting enough so we steered off the interstate and came into town. Talk about discovering a hidden gem! One of our favorite stops in State College to meet up with family. Service is quick, the staff and waitress were helpful on suggestions and keep it real with you regarding what they like/don't like. The setting with the fireplace and views of the golf course and lake are beautiful. Love this spot. If you are heading to State College, give it a go!

I was disappointed with our most recent visit to The Field…read more We were here in January and had an excellent experience. The service was spot on, the food was cooked perfectly, the burgers were very tasty, the criss-cut sweet potato fries with hot honey and vinegar salt were fantastic, and the shakes were delicious. That first visit was memorable enough that we were excited to come back. This time, we waited about 50 minutes at around 5:30PM on a Thursday before graduation weekend. Honestly, that part was understandable, and we were prepared for a wait. We had a nice booth for five and ordered table fries, a few shakes, and five burgers. The fries were still excellent, and the shakes were great. Unfortunately, the burgers and service did not live up to the previous visit. My burger tasted more like stewed meat than seared beef, almost as if it had been sitting for a while. It was overcooked and under-seasoned. Our server was pleasant enough, but several sides, condiments, and modifiers were forgotten. Waters were never refilled, the table was not cleared, and a salad that had been misordered was not removed from the bill. I understand it was a busy night, but at around $40 per person for food at a burger place, I expected more consistency. I'll give The Field another try the next time I'm in town because our first experience was so good, but this visit was a letdown.

If you follow my reviews, you know I'm a fan of old-school diners, the classics, and honest home-cooked food. Summit hits all three marks, serving straightforward and delicious American standards since the 1960s. The three-egg omelet loaded with veggies and sausage was exactly the pre-ski power-up I needed. My son stuck with his go-to breakfast burrito, and my daughter went with the classic two eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Everything was spot on. The staff has just the right level of "WWA"--Waitresses With Attitude. They are perfectly polite, but they hold the line on proper behavior and will quickly put anyone in their place if they step out of line. It keeps the environment grounded and authentic. A few tips for your visit: * Seating: Expect to wait for a table in the lobby or outside during peak hours. * Payment: Bring your wallet--this is a cash-only establishment.

Anyways, I wasn't in the mood for drinking, so just had some lunch here. There's two restaurants combined at the food counter (which used to be food trucks here). You can get pizza from pizza and subs from Flo Bros Pizza and wings, burgers and sandwiches from Marin Eats. I had the Crabcake Sandwich ($15) with Tots (+$2). The sandwich was solid and tots were crispy. It's a nice space to hang out with a group. There are pinball machines, cornhole, and games for entertainment. It's nicely situated next to a creek, so you get a bit of nature too.
