It's funny, all these people ragging on this McDonald's in Encino. I happen to live five blocks from the Sherman Oaks location, but it's just not consistent enough for me. So, one fine night I ordered via Door Dash and since this Encino location serves late, that was the only choice. I got a Quarter pounder deluxe, which I'd never had, and my usual Filet-O-Fish with extra tartar sauce. The food arrived thirty minutes later, thankfully still warm, and I must tell you it was very good. I've tried ordering from here again, but lately Door Dash defaults to my location. This McDonald's has really cleaned up it's act as of late.. Added staff, faster service, new chairs, and a cleaner & more caring atmosphere overall. You have to give credit where credit is due. The drive-thru still has some speed issues, but the Uber Eats orders are always accurate and speedy lately. The bathrooms are clean, the tables are shiny. The food is always cooked nice and crispy the way it should be, and the value menu is always available without excuses such as the machines being "broken." -.- Overall things are much much better here than they were just a few short months ago. We ordered the fish sandwich, and it came all mushy and dripping, without tartar sauce, without onion, without anything. When we asked for some tartar sauce, tomatoes and onion, they charged us extra. There was no signed it. Now you are being charged for every extra thing that normally goes on the fish sandwich. The bun was stale. And it was over $6 It was a sloppy big mess and we refused to receive it and they would not give us our money back. The manager was very rude and non-cooperative. Stopped by for a quick lunch I grabbed a salad and to my surprise it was very good for what's its worth! The inside is nice (minus the bathrooms!) the cool thing is that if you dine in you take a number and they bring your food to your table, talk about an upgrade. I hit the drive thru some early morning and they never mess up my order in the quick time they serve me. I just hope the ladies at the front can communicate well with one another in getting the food out sooner to the customers as they wait. read more

This McDonald's is pretty old and run down. There is usually a pretty decent drive-thru line, especially during lunchtime. I would prefer to do drive thru though because I dined once inside and I kinda regretted it. It was super run down, dated, and looked dirty. I had a hard time choosing a place to sit because I didn't think any of the seating areas/tables looked clean. Cashiers are pretty friendly and helpful. And food is consistent as always. read more

I don't know what to say. The service was so bad. Due to COVID it was only drive thru. Only one car ahead of me in line. I asked for a Mc Flurry and they said the machine was broken, so I ordered a Sundae instead. Went to window and was handed an orange juice. I said that wasn't my order. And she said to wait. I don't come here often anymore. I don't eat fast food very much. I do come for the coffee. The iced coffee is very good. Lines can get pretty long, but they move pretty fast. There is two lanes to order. Plenty of parking. I've always experienced good customer service. Homeless tend to hang around this area but usually don't bother anyone; at least that I have seen. I'm sure most people have tried McDonalds, but if you haven't, get the fries. Of all fast food restaurants, these are the best fries. Also, the Big Mac tastes a lot better. Maybe they switched it up. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a fast food restaurant. The manager needs to be fired asap! We ordered and it took 15 minutes to get our food just to get the wrong order. Another 10 minutes later the order comes out wrong again. Multiple people are yelling at the front window and we asked to get our money back. She made us give her all of the food that we actually got, our half drunken waters and our mcflurries. The manager didn't even apologize. Someone else that was complaining was telling us that she has gone here 3 times this month and they have messed up every time. This made me so angry.
