This location offers a truly huge, bright, clean dining room anchoring a small shopping complex from a converted theatre. The ordering tablets where quite glitchy but we were able to easily place it with a staff member instead. The staff was friendly and professional and there were no errors in our order of sandwich combos and sauces. The food was hot and delicious and everything I expected from Dave's and their locations all across the state. Very consistent. Crispy chicken, crispy edging on dry fries, and plenty of rich, creamy sauces. Great Dave's location with lots of little spots to pop in nearby during a shopping or eating day.

They currently have a collaboration for the Fallout show on Amazon and offer a Fallout Saucy Survival Kit with Slider. It comes complete with a slider, fries, Dave's sauce and a limited-edition collectible Fallout Stimpak toy (available for a limited time only). An awesome little bonus! From placing the order to our door, it was approximately 15 minutes. Food was hot and fresh. Fries were crispy too! I also ordered the combo with an extra side of Dave's Sauce and Spicy BBQ. Mild spice level was perfect for my wife and she said it wasn't spicy. I ordered medium and should've gone up a couple notches as I like things really spicy. Everything was really good!
Yesterday my boy asked me if I ever tried hot chicken because he said he was on the late train when the craze happened a few years ago. I told him I was in the same boat and that I never had it but everyone had been talking about it for years. So, I decided to pick my son up from school a little early and stopped in to try a piece of chicken or something just so I could tell my boy I finally tried it. First off I walked into the restaurant and the place was spotless! It was so spacious and clean with some cool little artwork up to set the tone. The guy in there was super cool and greeted me right away. He continued on preparing other people's meals and told me to let him know if I had any questions. I decide to go with a slider combo with fries but oddly the combos don't come with a drink. So, I ordered a small fountain drink with it. My honest opinion is that it was just okay. I got the light mild and I think I may have over did it with the honey I added but I don't think I'll honestly have hot chicken again. If you love spicy food, I can understand why people like it but it's just not my cup of tea. If I want fast food chicken my first option will be Chick-fil-A and then I'll probably grab Raising Canes. They were really nice and the place was super clean but I won't be going back to any hot chicken places. Sorry OOOC 3.5 out 5 Afros
The family is a big fan of hot chicken and wanted to finally give it a try. The restaurant is very small. It was clean, but we did need to wait for a table to open. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered chicken tenders and fries. Both were very good. Everything came out hot and fast. While not our top hot chicken choice, this was certainly a great lunch. In the end, Dave's earned a few more fans for its great tasting chicken!
Stopped by Dave's Hot Chicken in Sherman Oaks and overall, it definitely hit the spot! The chicken was juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. I went with the medium spice level--good heat, but I did find it a bit on the salty side. Not a deal breaker, just something to note if you're sensitive to salt. Good mac n cheese! The sides were solid (fries were crispy and well-seasoned), and the pickles added a nice crunch. Service was quick, and there's good amount of seating inside and a little patio outside if you wanna stop in to eat. Would definitely come back, but might try a different spice level next time to see if it's a bit more balanced. Still a great spot for a fiery chicken fix!
This was my family's first visit to Dave's when we were visiting the LA area and it was an excellent experience! The chicken was nice and tasty. Crinkle fries are my favorite and there's plenty of spice to go around. This location serves Coke, and the parking is what you expect anywhere in LA. We had some really fresh top loaded shakes on the way out and the family enjoyed the variety. Service was great, a low amount of seating but we were good on a Friday afternoon so no complaints from us. I'd recommend this place.

The brand recently acquired for 1 billion dollars starting as a food truck company... honestly needs some work, it's not my vibe. Knowing that they are open to new suggestions under new ownership I have to say they can't be playing cheesy ahh music no one knows they should be at least playing Travis Scott's beautiful new song that goes Wobly Wiggly WOoOah that would be a banger, but in all seriousness anything else R and B or even better instrumental stuff for more refined ambience. The food was great though fast, good price, love it. And the service was good. Shoutout Esmeralda give her an extra opportunity to earn time and a half maybe not a raise. 5 star for fast food tbh. BUT THEY DONT HAVE DIET DR PEPPER. I need my review to be noticeable so I'm blunting it a little and I'll come back if they have diet Dr Pepper and drop 5 stars And opening the sauce packet Dave's sauce was a pain But Ayo if fast food was a category then 5 star for fast food and all of that was like $14 so 4-5 stars
Dave's Hot Chicken is in a great location, right on the corner. I was not sure if there is a parking lot, however there was street parking. Ordered To Go: Daves#3:1 Tender + 1 Slider w/fries. Order comes with slaw, pickles and Dave's sauce. I wanted more sauce on my food and I could have had a little more heat on my food. The fries were good. My first visit to Daves, I could tell the place has regulars and loyal fans (my teenage nephews). Cashier was friendly and helpful to my many questions as a first time customer. Good food if you like sliders. Food comes in a great container, easily portable. I would give 3 stars, however my nephews are super fans of the place, hence 4. Cheers to all patrons of Dave's Hot Chicken!
The is a newer location, not sure how long it has been here, but still has the now open sign up. Located on Ventura Blvd near Van Nuys Blvd. specifically at the corner of Ventura and Cedros Ave. the "La Reina Plaza" this location is pretty big inside, but did not seem like a lot of tables, but I guess enough. Decorated like most Dave's are, with some unique items at this location. A funny rubber chicken behind a "in case of emergency glass". You order at the counter as normal, service is fast, call your name and you grab it. The chicken here is great, same as all Dave's, big pieces of chicken tenders, juicy and spiced to your liking. I normally get the extra hot, which I did on this visit and it was pretty spicy, I would say a little spicier than other Dave's I have visited, but it was perfect for me as I like it spicier typically. There is a parking lot behind that costs $3 an hour, not sure if they validate of not as I parked on the street. Glad to see more and more Dave's opening up, I really like their chicken, fries and everything they have. Enjoy!
Ordered Dave's Hot Chicken for delivery...solid meal! Chicken came in with that kick, just how I like it. Only one tender got a little chewy on me, but hey, I went all out with the Dave's sauce fix. Boom, problem solved!

Big back alert! Try the new Mac and cheese chicken sandwich at Dave's because it SLAPS! I got mild and loaded it up with pickles and Dave's sauce and it was awesome. I don't know how, but the Mac and cheese really complimented an already very tasty sandwich! Fries were solid (as always) and I also tried the fruity pebble vanilla milkshake. Good....but strange. Kinda tasted like fruity pebbles in very sweet milk? But they don't blend them in or even layer them with the shake. It's mids-good. Not great. Service was great! Super nice young woman in a Dave's hot chicken head band who actually gave recommendations and didn't hate her life. Cool ambiance. Feels like if Ronald McDonald had a cousin that was a famous DJ and started a chicken place. 4 stars and not 5 stars because ever since they went corporate, their chicken is TINYYYYY. Was still kinda hungry after. It's like this at every location. Not as small as raising canes tenders, but pretty damn close. read more

Finally tried Dave's Hot Chicken. Kids love this place, I had to give it try I got the Extra Hot. I can handle spicy and it was on the upper end. I most likely will not try the Reaper cuz I want to enjoy my food! Service was great. Place was really clean. It's worth a try if you want spicy chicken. read more

Wow! The food here was good! Had the: Cauliflower bites (mild) Chicken tender combo (mild) Chicken slider combo (mild) Mac & cheese Loved the cauliflower bites! They were my favorite but the chicken tenders were the softest/moistest chicken I have ever had!! They could make me like chicken breast! The sliders were chicken tenders on a hamburger bun with some cole slaw on it. I prefered the chicken tenders on the white bread. Ask for the Dave's sauce and dip everything in it!! I didn't try the mac & cheese but my daughter liked it! The fries were perfect! They were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Nicely seasoned too!! read more

Stopped by on my way back from an outing. I originally heard of this place since they just opened a location in my home city, and was intrigued as they have investors such as Samuel L. Jackson and Drake. I'm also a fan of spicy foods, so it just made sense. This location is new and it shows. It's a typical fast food restaurant type setup, with a fountain drink machine and lots of tables with chairs to eat. You order your food at the counter, and can dine-in or take it to go. I ordered a slider with fries, and I chose to get my chicken at the "hot" heat level. The range goes all the way up to "reaper". Unfortunately I was so hungry that I didn't get a pic of my meal. The food was good, and the fries are seasoned, which I love! I have no complaints, and can recommend this as a solid option if you ever stumble upon a location. read more

Dave's is my go to spot hot chicken in Northridge. I typically get an #2 Hot w/ cheese, and take it home for a little more comfort. The flavor is good with just the right amount of heat, and their sauce is addicting. Their tasty season fries is just icing on the cake. Right now if you leave then a review, you can get a free soft drink or milkshake. read more

I waited 20 minutes for this.. honestly this is getting bad. Dave's Hot Chicken is turning into chipotle and cava - overpriced food and skimping out on portions. Literally Panda Express is the only fast food place where you can get full off of what you pay for. And it's less expensive. Too bad I can't eat it everyday. I'm disappointed in Dave's! read more

First time trying it and my expectations, which were already high, were met. The tender was juicy and the seasoning was very good. You make a mess trying to put all the spreads and etc but this is only a minor detail. The sliced bread that accompanies the tender was ok, it could be better, but the slice bun was very good. Ambiance is a typical fast food type, not made to hold you for a long meal, you come, order, seat, eat and go. It serves its purpose. read more

Took my son and nephews (per their request) to have lunch at Dave's. The sandwich was pretty tasty. We all enjoyed it much. Spacious and clean location. Good customer service. I'm not a big fan of this kind of food but once in a while it's ok to try. Specially with the kids asking for it. Reasonably priced. read more
