I've tasted burgers from coast to coast. Hell, I've even had burgers from around the world, but nothing -- nothing -- beats In n' Out. I know that's controversial as a now East Coaster, but this Los Angeles staple will always have my heart. Why does In n' Out reign supreme? Every element, from the buns to the beef patty, are exceptional. The buns are soft and hefty. They don't easily disintegrate in your hands. They come out greased, as though they've been swiped with a bit of butter. The lettuce and onions are crisp, the latter both sweet and pungent. The tomatoes, too, are fresh. The cheese is perfectly melty, blending in with the signature sauce. And the patty, oh the patty: not too thick, perfectly seared, juicy, and, the best part, seasoned. The fries are hardly a supporting actor in this meal. They, too, are the best fries I've ever had, a blend of crispy and potatoe-y, peeled and fried on site. You can't get any fresher than that. In-N-Out has always been one of my favorite places because of its excellent customer service, which is why I was so disappointed by my experience today. The employee taking orders outside, Melody, accused me of cutting in line, which I honestly did not do. When I tried to explain the situation, I felt that she was rude and disrespectful. At one point, she told me that if I wanted to continue "lying," that was fine. When she finally took my order, she said, "Okay, now what?" which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. I have never had a negative experience at In-N-Out before, so this was very surprising. I spoke with a supervisor, Angelo, who advised me that he would address the situation with her. I appreciate him taking the time to listen to my concerns. This location can be a hit or miss and unfortunately the last few times I've come in it's been a miss. It's a shame as I've been coming to this location on and off for 20 years but taste and quality are never consistent anymore. Burgers are soggy and taste almost undercooked and this evening their fries were completely undercooked and gray. The staff are pleasant enough but the security guards they have patrolling the lobby are menacing and glare at you (after you've made a purchase) and take away from any sort of pleasant vibe. read more

In-N-Out has some delicious fries and Burgers so for dinner that always sound good. This location is super busy inside and drive thru. We decided to get down and place our order (party of 4). The line to order was long and we had to stand around to await an open seat. of course when we got one the table was dirty. There is no one around cleaning the tables, so we wet some napkins and cleaned it ourselves. The Food took 30min to come out. We all ordered double doubles and regular fries. The burger was delicious well seasoned make sure to grab some yellow peppers to enjoy with every bite. Fries were nicely seasoned and hot too. We picked up some grub here since we were in the neighborhood. You can never go wrong with In and Out no matter where you are. Lines are always chaotic here. So we decided to eat inside anyway since we live at away from here. I got 2 Double Doubles. My girlfriend wanted Animal style fries. She will not eat beef unless its Kosher, but anyhow, we had fun eating inside here with a large crowd. Parking is terrible here and the lines are long. Service is the best here. Who in their right mind does not like In-N Out Burger?? Unless you are a vegetarian, vegan, they will still make you a delicious burger w/out meat. On the 2nd of October my dear friend that I know for 35 lovely years, who I hardly see, who not only is a friend to me, but like a mother, an older sister, friend and a former coworker; decided to finally meet and go to In-N-Out. We both have busy schedules and we finally set a date to meet. Since this In-N-Out is kind of out of my way and in between both of our places, we usually go there to cut the chase/traffic and meet half way. I am surprised that I haven't done a review on In-N-Out all these years that I have been going there. I am reviewing this PARTICULAR burger joint. We got there around 2pm and the burger joint was super busy, long lines, and lots of happy employees trying to clear the lines, and help their starving customers. Before I forget, In-N-out in few of the states that I know.. is a STAPLE! Has been around since 1948 and is still standing strong. Only serves 3 items. Burgers, fries, shakes/sodas. We both ordered our burgers and shared fries and she got coke. Place is SUPER CLEAN, that includes both restrooms and the patio. Is located in a busy shopping center with other businesses. Lots of parking and a drive thru window which I personally don't waste time to sit in my car for a burger/fries. Just letting people know. I mean there isn't much to write about this iconic burger joint. All I can say is that I pray that In-N-Outs all over won't go out of business like most places DO! Their logo says it all. Like most locations this one was busy but not as busy as most. I don't often get a am chance to eat an in n out burger so for me it was worth the wait. I was with a larger group so we decided to eat in. The drive thru line didn't seem too bad but the wait inside was about 20 mins or so between ordering and getting the order. I parked in the private parking lot this time and got my order to go (single burger, fries and drink). Line inside was not that long, however there was wait time to receive my order. Staff was friendly and able to answer requests. The place is for all ages. There are many many locations in CA with outdoor dining options. Meat is not frozen. French fries are made from fresh, whole potatoes and are hand diced. One can even order a hamburger without the bun. Still, my 4 year daughter loves it here at "Inside Out", so here is what I will say: They gave her a hat and stickers, which she loves. I go around the corner to the Burger lounge who uses grass fed beef, and of course the size and quality is much better at more than double the price! At In N Out you get homeless people coming in and filling up a large bottles full of soda in fact two of them. No one their to stop them! They touch all of the buttons with dirty hands! At Burger Lounger no homeless come in, and fill up at their soda machines, In N Out gets a very young customer base I don't think they care, as for quality they know any better! If I'm hitting the west coast, then I am making a stop at In-and-out burger. Some may say it is just another fast-food burger joint or some may say it's just nostalgia that makes you wanna go. But it's always busy but still clean, efficient, and the food fast and fresh. We hit this location soon after opening (little before 11am) as we had to catch a flight at LAX and even that early the joint was jumping. Plenty of locals getting on the action too. So they doing something right! I got the #1 combo meal which is the Double Double Burger, fries, and a medium fountain drink. The whole meal was about $12 after tax, which these days is a pretty good deal. The traditional Double double burger comes with two slices American cheese, toasted bun, two beef patties, onions, lettuce, tomato, house made spread (which is basically Thousand Island-style dressing). But I always get the burger Animal style (lettuce, tomato, mustard cooked beef Patty, pickle, extra spread, grilled onions) from their not so secret menu and they don't even charge you more for that. Their burgers are very tasty. The patties are juicy and the cheese nicely melted. The extra spread with the Animal style makes it so saucy and messy in the best way. Also I'll take grilled onions over raw any day. Their French Fries are at best fine, they promote they from fresh hand cut potatoes and maybe just straight up cutting potatoes all it is as they are kinda plain tasting to me. I don't think they anywhere as special as the burger but I guess everyone accepts as the burger shines and it's a classic combo. You can get them animal style as well if you want. Unfortunately, it was about as comforting as trying to nap under a wet blanket. But I hear the fries are always soggy and underwhelming so I guess this was not an atypical experience.
