It was a rainy evening after many days of constant rain so to no surprise the drive through was wrapped around the building, so I opted to go inside. Props to the staff for taking every order seriously, following up with customers, and maintaining a smile while under pressure and clearly understaffed. I always have a bad experience when i go here. I dont know why i try to keep hoping for the better. Today i asked for some ketchup and he gives me 2. Then i said i need more ketchup please and he hands me 1 then looks away. I just left without bothering. For some reason they are very stingy about their ketchup and amount of food they give out. This happens all the time. I even got half of the fries which was supposed to be large. Its only filled halfway. Food quality isnt always constant. Sometimes it sucks. Staffs are literally rude. I was waiting for someone while taking a nap(I got food btw). Noticing the entire restaurant was empty. This dude, this dude woke me up saying that i can't take naps cuz what if other people wants to sit on that exact seat and I've been there for too long(an hour and a half). Every time I go to this McDonald's I have issues. One time I go and they tell me they already gave me my sandwich. The gentleman working the window told me "I don't mess up my orders. You have your sandwich". When I physically took everything out of my bag and showed him I did not have the sandwich he slammed the drive-thru window, got my sandwich, and handed it to me without a word. The next time I went I came at 12:30am. My boyfriend and I sat at the drive-thru for 10 minutes before someone came over the intercom and said "we closed" we said "but you close at 1" and the guys goes "we closed" so we went home. When we looked online we saw that this McDonald's does close at 1. Honestly I've never had worse service and more messed up orders. I get it's McDonald's and I'm not asking for stellar service here. My experience at this Mcdonald is terrible. Several times that i have gone the service is so slow. i waited in the empty Mcdonald's for 10 minutes and they still did not take our order. I hate writing bad reviews. I work in food service I know it's tough. But after driving to another McDonalds who's "system was down", I sucked it up and drove the extra 10 minutes, since this was the only thing open late night. I understand working late night dining anywhere sucks, you're cranky and want to go home and climb in bed. I get it. What I don't get is the attitude of the MANAGER that took my order at the drive-thru. All I got was a "k" and "first window" after ordering. I had to ask her my total, because- God forbid- she did at least a little bit of her job correctly. After she took my money, she slammed the window in my face. This is, hands down, the worst McDonald's I've ever been to, and I've been to some shady ones. Even in third world countries where McDonald's is so revered that the line to get in stretches for miles and the outlets can, and do, get away with serving quarter pounders with cheeseburger patties, at least the food is edible. This location, though, seems to pride itself on being a mustard stain on Ronald's white painted forehead. I've found under cooked food, stale food, food missing stuff that's supposed to be part of the food like the lettuce in a mcchicken and cheese in a cheeseburger that's been rung up as a cheeseburger but served as a hamburger. I've had a normal experience only once and this is place is so close to our home that if got on the roof of my house and squeezed a bottle of mayonnaise really hard I could probably put it on the burgers for them more regularly than they manage to. Its really a shame because its open 24/7 and is the only branch in a fairly large radius and since McDonald's is the kinda stuff you reach out for when you are too busy to eat real food with something more important than nutrition, it would be nice to at least eat the high quality junk McDonald's is known for than the sad and pathetic stuff this branch is churning out. read more

They are always busy and do their best; but they have to attend to a lot of late night drinkers. I usually go through the drive thru and they are always pleasant and accommodating! Worst McDonald's in fairfax of probably in northern va all together but unfortunately it's the closest to my apartment so when i get really desperate I give it a chance. It is inconveniently structured: getting in and out of the parking lot/colliding with people leaving the drive thru but that's not their fault. They are extremely slow no matter how many people are working. If you say hello in the drive thru or thank you, there's no response they just hand you your card back and ignore you. I am always met with attitude when asking for sauce with my order. And more often than not I have been handed one singular sauce packet for an entire meal. Everyone knows that not going to be enough. The managers (or who I assume to be them based on their different uniform) seem to be worst of all. read more

My wife ordered lunch at this McDonalds (inside the store). As an employee was getting the order together, he dropped two of the sandwiches on the floor. The employee scooped the sandwiches up and placed them in the bag. My wife explained to the cashier what happened and said she didn't want the food that was dropped on the floor. The employee replaced the sandwiches and threw the bag on the counter. Apparently this McDonalds does not have the standards/quality you would expect. Unlikely we will ever eat at a McDonalds again. read more

Got food here the other night and it was actually pretty good. Nice and crisp and juicy. The drive thru order taker was also nice & humorous. The only problem we had was they forgot some of our order, so we had to drive back & get our missing sandwich. (An extra thing of fries but no sandwich was in the bag, which made it kind of seem like it was a lack of effort on their part rather then just a simple case of forgetting) I understand the pains of fast food workers since I worked fast food before & that people make mistakes. Though I'd expect better since the place was empty of customers. Didn't get any sort of "sorry" from the person who hands you the food. read more

Having a really good one near me, i am critical of any McD's that is less than good. The drive thru is a mixed bag, sometimes you have a good person, other times, the person acts like it is a form of punishment. The drive thru is not open 24 hours even though it's advertised as such. And the guy that was inside just said "not open" and nothing else.

All I can say is wow. They had a sign on the ordering stations that allegedly said they aren't using credit cards. It was raining out so the signs were bent and unreadable. My friend softly yelled from the passenger seat and asked where we were supposed to order. The cashier responded "the same place you always do" with an attitude. When we pulled around I handed him my card to pay and with an extreme attitude he told me that "if You didn't yell into the speaker like an idiot I would have been able to explain that to you" I tried to respectfully explain to him that it wasn't me who yelled and that the signs were unreadable. He engaged in a verbal altercation with my passenger which escalated so I left without food. I called the manager when I got home who attempted to be accommodating and even apologized for his behavior (I could hear him hollering in the background) yet still tried to relinquish some blame On my passenger. I've been coming here for 4 years, I don't know what the happened to this place. Something else, I have always had a positive experience with this cashier in the past so I am not sure why he responded the way he did. read more

Incorrect fry size. I ordered a large combo and got what looks like a medium. Fries were cold. Also, I ordered a bacon McDouble and did not get that in the bag. Manager at the window should have checked the order before handing it to me. I should have as well, but i figured it wasn't a difficult order. So basically $3 down the hole. Not a lot to worry about, but extremely frustrating after a 14 hour day at work when you just want your food right. Won't be visiting this place again despite the fact that it's open late. This McDonald's adds $0.10 to the item prices on the drive thru menu. I hadn't been here for months, but stopped to get something for my daughter. Again, I was charged $0.10 more than the menu price. Honestly, I would rate this place no stars if I could. The employees here are very rude and unfriendly. Even if you try your hardest to be polite and to be kind, they treat you as if you're beneath their shoes. Also, their behavior is unacceptable for a work environment. You can hear the employees behind the counter cursing and shouting about customers who had just left the restaurant. What is even worse is their ability to make the "food" for you. My girlfriend has ordered a fish sandwich from this restaurant multiple times and each time, the "sandwich" looked like an abomination. The cheese was half out of the sandwich, the sandwich itself was sideways when opened in the box, and it barely had any sauce on top of the fish patty. If this McDonald's wasn't the closest to my house, I'd never go to this place. This place is terrible, management is nonexistent, and the employees are terrible. read more

I was forced to give this place a star. Their chicken sandwich gave me food poisoning so severe my stomach still hurts. Their night shift crew are the worst people, they don't come to the intercom and when they did they appeared confused. The food was horrible. They drenched the fries with salt and the sandwich seemed to have been stepped on. Now I am sick because of it. This is the worst fast food I have ever had. Never again. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a fast food place. I went up to the counter and first asked if they had shamrock shakes. The counter boy stated yes. I completed the rest of my order and patiently waited. After about 10 minutes, I noticed my number was skipped. I waited after a few more numbers were called just assuming they were busy and working on my order. I finally go up to the counter and ask if my order will be ready soon. The woman states "Oh, the shamrock shake machine is broke." Was no one going to tell me this? Were they just going to skip the rest of my order? She offered a coffee to which I declined and asked for my money back instead. The little foreign man who I am assuming was the manager came over, didn't say a word to me and threw $2 on the counter for my $2.89 shake. Then after waiting a few more minutes for my sandwiches I take them back to the table and realize they are both wrong... Trying to get them to correct this was another ordeal. This has been my local McDonalds since moving here over 8 years ago-- however in the past few months the service inside the restaurant has been so slow and all orders not even correct. Today (Sunday) my son wanted some Nuggets and at 11 am I was in the Walmart area. We drove over and the drivethrough was so backed up that you couldn't even enter the parking lot. We returned at 2 pm and same thing (non moving drive through line). This time I was able to park my car and place the order inside (4 piece nugget and a medium fry). We stood for at least 5 minutes. However, the guy who had already been waiting when we arrived was still waiting for 1 cup of coffee. I struck up a conversation with another gentleman who thought the owners of the restaurant (who own other McDonalds in Fairfax County) were not the owners or something happened within the family owned business. About a month ago a near riot broke out while I was eating with my 7 year old son (police were called in but I was pulling out of the parking lot at that time - not late at night, something like 5 or 6 pm). I attribute it to a long line inside the restaurant, very inexperienced front-end crew and just a lack of caring on their part. No managers are ever in sight -- unfortunately this is the most conveniently located place and I will be frequenting the ChickFila across the street until this is straightened out. The regular employees who I actually looked forward to seeing have all disappeared mysteriously. Completely disappointing! read more
