This store is trying to enact self service order kiosks for efficiency, but it's not working. Many people were confused on how to order. I asked if they had decaf Carmel macchiato and the woman attempting to help me could not determine if they did and she finally had to ask and was told no. Workers were putting on yellow vests and walking between the customers and the doorway to the outside to deliver orders to cars. They were going back-and-forth and it was confusing. When you ordered at the kiosk, you were supposed to take a number which was not indicated anywhere so my husband missed his coffee order. When we finally asked where the coffee was, they had to place another order and we had to wait again. Don't go here. The staff is basically ignoring most of the customers because they were so busy with taking orders out to cars don't go here. read more

We were on the road in Gallup and decided to stop for some coffee. I got the Iced Caramel Frappe, (Small) and it tasted awesome! The McDonald's had a very simple playground which my baby sister loved. The atmosphere is very nice and calm for sitting and eating and drinking. The service was great. The staff gave us our coffee very fast and quick. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR COFFEE! read more

Horrible service, employees where very rude, let homeless people in and do what they want, including letting them go in the kids play section, but if you go through the drive through the food is the same as any other McDonalds. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. read more

Worst burger I have ever had. Pulled up to the drive up. Ordered, paid at window. Mover to the pickup window. I was told to wait for my order at Space #3. Waited 10 minutes while 3 homeless people went from car to car begging for money. Finally got my order. It was barely warm. Tough and tasteless. I won't go back. read more

I waited for 7 minutes to tell someone what I wanted because the cashier was having trouble. I do not know if her station stopped working or if she was a new employee but the fact that she did not apologize to the customer she was serving or to the other two people like me who were waiting is unacceptable. When she finally finished with the guy and took my order, it was only 2 minutes to pay and get my coffee, which was lukewarm. I have never had such a terrible experience at a McDonald's. WORST DRIVE THUR EVER.... the absolute WORST. If you are going to make 2 lanes make sure BOTH are getting orders taken and moving. Your make shift second lane moved over 20 cars before getting 3 orders from the ACTUAL DRIVE THUR LANE. THEN you have me park and WAIT EVEN MORE after paying because you have taken so many orders from the other lane that my food (1 burger and fries FYI) wasn't ready. Stopped after getting into town around 10pm. Walked and noticed they serve a "Green Chile Double", i was excited. Originally from Gallup, I love my NM green chile. We were greeted by Misha. She was very friendly and efficient. We had special orders and all of them were correct when we received our food. The interior was clean. As we I ate, I observed the employees and manager- they were all friendly and smiling, working hard. Not sure why there so many bad reviews, maybe I came at the right time but I will return. Eating at this McDonald's made for a slightly interesting experience. This location features the newer McDonald's design and looks quite nice from the outside. My problems with this visit extend mostly to the typical McDonald's issues I encounter. Unhealthy menu aside, I found the service here to be moderately slow and the food to be very average. Also, McDonald's posted a security guard in this location, something I found to be relatively strange. If you are on a road trip, I really cannot discourage you from eating at this location, especially considered the neighboring choices, but do not expect much. read more

I'd say one of the cleanest McD's I've been to. All tables were clean and there were many people eating here- even the play area was immaculately clean- kudos to management and workers here. Food was also very good- fries - yup- they were spot on - also Filtered water and soda- rare and it totally makes a difference. Stop here on you travels to take a break! read more

Today's was a bad experience with this McDonald's location, north of Gallup. It wasn't busy during our time of walk-in order.
