Prices were fair and included a bag of chips. The sandwiches were huge! Honestly thought they gave us 12". Super tasty bread and meats, the veggies all tasted fresh. The staff were super friendly and nice and got us squared away quick. We ate in the restaurant and it is a small town place that feels that way. I would gladly eat here again given the chance. I arrived around 10:15 PM with my boyfriend and had a very disappointing experience. There was an "open" sign on (actually two), so we went inside and began looking at the menu. A tall male employee--who I assume may be the owner--abruptly interrupted us and said they were closed. He then told us we could still place an order, but immediately started rushing us in a very disrespectful way, even snapping his fingers and telling us to "get on with it." While my boyfriend was trying to order, he continued telling him to hurry. Mind you he wasn't the one taking the order, it was his employee. At that point, I decided to leave because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. As we were walking out, he yelled, "don't ever come back," which was completely uncalled for. I've been here multiple times before and never had an issue--the other employees have always been polite and professional. Unfortunately, this interaction really changed how I view this business. Okay who can resist a place open 24 hours offering fresh donuts? Not this girl! Looking for a quick place to grab a bite and found you can get a sandwich here as well. Someone posted that sandwiches were expensive but coming from a big city it wasn't that much of a difference I thought. Sharing it would make a 6inch come in around $6-$7.50 but it probably more like 8 inches in length. Taste was fantastic on the smoked turkey! Had ours toasted with Swiss cheese. I love when the sandwich slides around a bit as you bite it because it so full of flavor. Much better than subway in my opinion and hit the spot perfectly. Drinks are in bottles or cans and a small bag of chips comes with the sandwich. The donuts are fat, fresh and tender and priced so you can get two for $3 bucks with change to spare. They sell cinnamon rolls, carrot cake, muffins etc but why bother when you can get donuts! Seating area is plain but adequate. Plenty of things to look at on the wall. Service was a little grumpy, but we heard such good things so didn't want to mess it up and were really hungry. My husband and I both got the turkey, bacon, avocado subs on wheat. So delicious. Worst experience I've ever had, service wise. The Hispanic lady was as nice and sweet as she could be. The old white lady has the worst attitude towards a customer I have ever encountered, and I travel all over the world. They make their breads from scratch which means no preservatives. It was absolutely amazing. You can try any of their sandwiches and they all have their unique flavor. The employees and service was just as amazing, definitely family oriented and SO caring! The ambiance is nice, not hard to find, there are tables and chairs for you to sit inside. Located on historic highway 66, it was easy to find but hard to get to from our hotel. We were laughing at how much effort it took to get here as the railways had trains blocking three different directions our GPS wanted us to try. We eventually go here at 9;30 at night. The two people working were friendly but also seemed like maybe they had a long day already. Yet they managed to be friendly and fast. We ordered a large pastrami with everything on it and one log chocolate donut. The bread was fresh and the sandwich was filling and tasty. Honestly, I was surprised because I often lower my expectations when traveling. But this was a good sandwich with plenty of stuff on it and bread I think they baked right there. They gave us two bags of chips, maybe that's normal but we took it as a consideration that we had worked so hard to get there! The donut was just ok. I did not expect much of it either since it was 9 at night and I was guessing the donut may have been made many hours earlier. But the dough part was light and fluffy, the chocolate top covered the whole thing. The problem was the cream filling, At first I was thinking it was one of those long donuts with no filling because I could not find any. The donut was a bit dry without a cream filling so I was disappointed. I actually tore the donut apart just eating the top with the chocolate. At the last inch, there was half a squirt of the cream (vanilla pudding), maybe half an inch in total. I can't imagine that's the norm, maybe the donut filling staff were conducted by aliens right as they started pumping in the filling. Or maybe the donut cream filling technician got an emergency phone call that demanded they come to the hospital and perform emergency brain surgery. Whatever it was, they stopped after barely starting the filling and that ruined the donut for me. Otherwise, I would have given them five stars. read more

I pulled up to this nice, cute little deli in Gallup to grab a bite to eat on Route 66 headed to Las Vegas. The food was great. I got a roasted turkey sandwich that came with a bag of lays potato chips. The sand which was full of meat & the bread was like a secret family recipe & very filling. The workers were nice and speedy service. I tried their blue berry muffins which weren't that great to me but, I had a few glazed donuts and they made up for it. I was full for the rest of my ride. I'm surprised this will be my first review of the place cause we stop here every time we pass through! This place has the best subs around. So much so that yesterday we stopped and got the Chicken Chipotle 12" ($16) and today we got the 12" Smoked Turkey sandwich! Both on wheat bread which is deliciously backed there so it's fresh and it taste like it too! My favorite was the chicken chipotle because it was spicy, creamy and the flavor was just perfect. While the Turkey sandwich was still very good it doesn't pack as much flavor as the chipotle it's still very good. All sandwiches come packed with the basics of mustard mayo cheese lettuce onions pickles and tomatoes. The 12" is definitely big enough for 2 people each getting half and they're still pretty big that I end up saving half for later. On top of amazing sandwiches they also make sugary sweets and the Apple fritter is by far the best one! Definitely a place to stop at if your passing through Gallup! read more

The coffee is super smooth (went down quickly!), the donuts are assorted and plentiful (Christmas sugar cookies, even!) many cold beverages in the cooler to choose from (Arizona green tea iced tea, anyone?)
