After power outages all over, this place was crowded for breakfast. The little gal who took our late breakfast order was so pleasant under what had to be a stressful morning! If you close at 12am , why is it every time before 11pm the ice cream machine is already being cleaned & their excuse is that it's currently not working ? It's almost as if the managers/ owners train them to forget items, unfortunately this time my husband and son went and didn't check the bag, and I'm not going to drive back and wait for fries and get attitude from their employees over it. I ordered a fish sandwich yesterday, March 8, 2024 at about 12:30 PM. I cannot believe how McDonald's fish sandwiches have gone downhill. The sandwiches cost around five dollars now and I understand inflation has caused the price to go up.. but the fish tastes so fishy it's incredibly bad. I don't know where McDonald's is getting the fish now but it has happened a number of times now. I imagine they're getting some farm fish out of Vietnam. This is a very well run MacDonald's. Service is extremely fast and efficient inside. I order on the app and in 5 minutes they have it ready. Not only that, they are very friendly and often bring the food to your table. And even ask you how you are and if you need anything! Food is always fresh and with consistent quality -- exactly what you want from a fast food restaurant. It is also clean inside and I frequently see employees cleaning up the dining room. The kitchen must have 6 to 10 people working there! Compare that 2 or 3 at other fast foods around here which take forever to fulfill your order. Drive-through can get backed up though despite having two lanes because they merge back into one. For that reason, I use the app to get curbside or dining room. read more

I ordered my food using the app and was told to go through the drive thru even though I was parked in the mobile order pickup spot. I then had to wait in the long drive thru line defeating the purpose or ordering ahead. I got my food and drove a few miles down the road only to realize half of my order was missing. I called the store to see if someone could bring the rest of my food to me so I didn't have to sit in the (now even longer) drive thru line. The employee on the phone said they couldn't do that and because they were very busy and someone "just ordered 20 mcdoubles"... oh, I'm sorry to inconvenience you. And I'm glad to know the more you order, the more important customer you are. I sat in the drive thru line and reminded the employee at the first window what happened and showed him my receipt and the half of the order I was already given. I proceeded to the next window where the next employee tried to hand me someone else's food. I told them, again, what I was waiting for and she said "was that communicated at the first window?" Yes it was, but it looks like it wasn't communicated to you. I was given my quarter pounder but yet again, they messed up. I didn't have the fries to go along with it. I had to explain again what happened and what I was waiting for. Finally they rudely handed me the fries and I had my entire order. 40 minutes later I don't mind waiting for my order to be fixed. It's happened dozens of times at McDonalds but never had it been handled this way. I used the app to order ahead and was treated poorly the entire time and, looking back, I wish I wouldn't have used that as I probably would have been given the correct order in the first place. Customer service was extremely poor. I talked to 5 different people and none of them were aware of what was happening and nobody was apologetic. Also not happy that both of the McDonalds in Gig Harbor Washington raised their soft drink prices. Very impressed with the response. 4/11/2017: Ordered 3 hamburgers, two plain mcdoubles, 2 10 piece mcnuggets with sweet and sour sauce. Received three mcdoubles, no hamburgers, and creamy ranch sauce. Tried to eat the mcnuggets and they were literally inedible. Oct 2016: Four separate orders were not filled correctly. Ourselves and then noticing other customers coming after. Missing food and food added that wasn't ordered, according to the receipt. The orders were about 5 minutes apart and it was very slow time. Staff seems to have a hard time with consistently fulfilling orders. Check your order before you leave. This has happened the last three times we visited, drive thru and counter over a period of three months. Staff has a habit of blaming others or the customers for mistakes when you can clearly see the same person at the counter taking the order, is fulfilling the order. A couple of people that have visited that location have made similar comments without knowing our experience. Coffee is great. Food is always hot. read more

For a McDonalds, this place is great! They have a nice location near everything else that we visit in Gig Harbor (Target, Costco, Petco, Home Depot) that has it's own parking lot separate from the others. They also have a two driveway drive through for those busy nights when you need to get dinner home fast. It's always clean enough and the staff are nice. The only time they messed up my order (drive through of course), I walked in and she already had the right item ready to go with no questions asked as she realized her mistake as soon as I pulled away. I appreciate that memory, although it would have been nice before I drove away :) They have a great indoor play place that seems great for the kids (and a nightmare to me). There are plenty of tables in smaller groupings so you don't feel like one of the herd. read more

This is literally one of the worst Mc Donald's I've been too. I mean the food is fine, the location is great, but the service here is so unbelievably bad they should be ashamed. We have lived in this area for several years now and they mess up the order in the drive-thru honestly 70-80% of the time. We actually have a running joke now in our family about what will be in out grab bag of food when we receive it. Once it was three Big Macs when we ordered a cheeseburger and a salad. Other times it's extra cones, sodas, and sometimes they just leave you hanging at the window for five minutes because they forgot you were there. This is honestly no joke, and widely joked about in town. Pathetic really. If you go here, check your order!!! This is not a joke!! Tonight my wife went in for one of the new cheeseburgers they're selling and a shake. She pulled to the window and a young kid handed her a shake with no straw then walked away. After literally five minutes another girl came to the counter looking puzzled that someone was waiting and asked what she needed. My wife asked if she could have a straw and after she asked another girl behind the first one piped up and said very rudely "Did she really just pull up for JUST a straw??" My wife heard this and said, "No, I'm also waiting for the rest of our food." The first kid came back and said "Oh, sorry I forgot." I know a lady who used to be a trainer here and she even said this location is well known as a notoriously bad franchise. Why is it so hard to run this place? I will say they do great things for the schools here where the students take over the location which helps the schools.
