5 Stars! In my opinion, Five Guys serves the best fast food burger in the country--hands down. I live in California, where In-N-Out has always been our go-to, and while it's good, I have to admit... Five Guys is better. And not just a little better--noticeably better. The meat tastes fresher and is clearly higher quality. All the ingredients and toppings are top-notch. You can tell they care about what they're serving. Their restaurants are always clean, the service is friendly, and hey--they even serve free peanuts while you wait! If I had to give one slight critique, it's the price. I had a "small" cheeseburger with everything on it and a small soda, and it cost over $14--without fries. First of all, the burger options are endless. I'd get either a normal plain hamburger or a spicy bacon cheeseburger. In grilled cheese mode. The shakes were great. The fries are to die for, especially the Cajun ones. Yeah, it's pricy but it's still good-quality food. The service is impeccable. Absolutely amazing customer service! After Uber was no help when our delivery address changed to the restaurant's address (and yes we did double check our address before hitting submit), I called to see if the order was brought back in (that is what I would have done if I were the driver, as I would assume the customer would come to look for it). The staff member I spoke to could see our order sitting outside on the road and helped us resolve our issue and definitely went above and beyond. Also the food is delicious! Five Guys has been around for while now and I've eaten at multiple locations. The one thing I find that they all have in common these days is complacency. Their menu is simple and not extensive and yet the quality of their product seems to suffer more and more. They have signs adorning the walls of each location boasting about rave reviews in magazines and food journals. They've been rated best burger around and an amazing value but I noticed that all of those accolades kind of just stopped some time around 2007 or so. What I actually experience when I choose to eat at Five Guys is sub par customer service followed by a meal that I wish was much better than it actually was. You'd think by now they could figure it out I mean, they offer and add so many toppings to your burger that you almost always need a fork to eat it and that's not necessarily a bad thing however, one might actually be able to consume one of their burgers with only two bare hands if they would either choose a much better suited bun to hold all of the food or at the very least toast the buns that they do use to give them a fighting chance against disintegration. The mere fact that they serve up every single burger inside of an aluminum foil wrapper just drives that moisture to the brink of flooding and even if you eat in store on location, your bun is a soggy dripping mess by the time you get from the counter to your table. At least serve dine in customers a fresh burger on an open tray? The fact that they offer all topping for free is a great business model. I'm sure that they hardly if ever lose money adding toppings to burgers. That's a lesson that many other establishments could learn from Five Guys but that still doesn't make the cost of eating here a great value. Burgers are cheap and easy and suppose to be an affordable meal. The a la carte is a rip off no matter where you go. From Gibson's steakhouse in Chicago to Five Guys anywhere but I digress. My other observation is that seemingly because they add so many toppings, they neglect to actually season their meat. So last night at the Tacoma, WA location, I paid $48 for 1 large fry, 1 shake and 1 soda and 2 bland burgers with soggy buns. Then they offer you the cheapest of napkins on the planet to try and keep clean. On top of that the customer service was terrible. I needed to use their facilities and I tried very loudly to get the attention of at least four different employees and was flat out ignored by all of them. I guess the only employee allowed to talk to customers is the one working the register. I think I'm done spending so much money for bad customer service and bland food that falls apart seconds after I receive it but if you haven't tried Five Guys yet, go see if you like it. read more

I was disappointed. I had heard so much about how good these burgers were I was excited to try them. The double patty cheeseburger I had was greasy, the bun was flat and the whole thing fell apart before I was even 1/2 way done. I couldn't find the extra fried onions I had asked for as well as the mustard. Won't be going back. Tried the place here by the Mall one more time. This is my last time to buy anything here, and probably for fast food burgers in general (at least from a burger chain). I hate raw hamburger and that's what I got on my cheeseburger. Hamburger needs to be cooked thoroughly especially when you consider what it's made out of. Anyway, for the outrageous price I paid here I could have gotten a much better burger and fries, and with the cash left over, a beer to wash it down, at any of the local food-serving bars. I think I will stick with the Lakewood location. Usually when I get a burger here I am pretty satisfied because I know what to expect, but damn, my burger was not on point. I got the bacon cheese burger. When I opened it up from the foil, they wrapped it so tight that my whole burger was flat. Like literally flat. I'm thinking " Are we wrapping Christmas presents?" My friend also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, out of all the things you can get. But even that was pathetic, his meal came out to nearly $13. Quality and quantity (of fries). The price is what it is. If you're looking for cheap, this isn't it. BUT IT'S GOOD BURGERS AND SHAKES.

I've always liked Five Guys but I don't go there too much. Compared to other burger places in the area Five Guys has some of the freshest and juiciest burgers that can be offered. I always like getting the cheeseburger here and the fries are always great. Of course I always need to grab some malted vinegar to dip my fries in. I haven't ever had any service issues or quality issues with the visits I have made to Five Guys in the past and that includes this location as well which I have never been to until recently. If there is anything to complain about it's the strip mall that the restaurant is in as the parking lot is always congested, small and finding a spot to park can be difficult but for that I can't fault the restaurant itself for that. read more

The burgers were good, once we got the right one. The only male working today, 8/30/2022 at 12:30 really had an attitude, I told him that it was his mistake and that he put the wrong number on the wrapped burger and I had already take a bit out of the wrong burger and did not want to exchange burgers as I had taken a bit of mine. I told him it was their mistake and not mine. He told me that I should come back and volunteer my time working with them since I could do a better job. I responded that I was a Program Director and have never, nor do I ever plan on slinging burgers for a living. Believe me, I would never have said that had he not been so condescending and nasty to me. Eventually we got the correct burger for my friend, but my burger was cold by that time. Another interesting point, there were only 2 people in there when my friend and I arrived at 12:30 and that was right at lunch time; I've been here before and it is packed. The Cajun frys I expected to be a little spicy, but the ones I had were terribly salty. It tasted like someone dumped a whole can of lawreys seasoning on my frys. It was literally all I could taste. I threw them out. But atlas you go there for the burger so I was extremely excited being a 5 guys burger virgin. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with mayo/mustard, pickles, and onion. I unwrapped the foil. And it looked good. The bun however was extremely soggy and soft. I don't know if it was from the grease of the burger or there was water on the counter where they were putting it together. Either way it was not worth the $15.52 I paid. This was my first time trying Five Guys so I have nothing to compare it to. But with that being said, the burger was pretty dang good! I got a cheese burger with mushrooms and almost couldn't finish it because it was so big. The bun got a little soggy and was thus floppy, which was strange -- nothing was on it to make it soggy. Still good though. Better than other burger places in the area. Cajun fries are also great if you like Cajun flavors! I only have two minor complaints: my malted milkshake was kind of partically..? It had a grainy texture I wasn't expecting. I made homemade malted milkshakes all the time growing up and have never had one with that texture. The staff are also a little strange here -- very uninvolved and nonchalant. I took a little while to order because, like I said, this visit was my first time. The cashier just stared at me straight-faced while I tried to figure out what I wanted, and seemed like he hated his job otherwise. Awful customer service. Very impatient staff members, the lady who took our order didn't change her gloves between cooking and working the cash register. They were out of almost every milkshake flavor and there were no napkins readily accessible, you had to ask for them at the register. As we were sitting and eating a worker was vigorously sweeping under the tables and banging the chairs into ours, she didn't even apologize and was speaking very rudely to her colleagues. I've been to this location many times and have had quite a few errors on burgers (forgetting bacon is especially annoying when you pay a fair bit extra for it), but the product is usually good. However, tonight will likely be my last time visiting. We got large fries, the wife was in a major fry mood, but they were cold and soggy to the point they weren't even appetizing and went straight into the fridge so we can hopefully salvage them later. We also ordered a burger that was lacking 2 of the requested condiments. At least they remembered the bacon. I used to love Five Guys more than any burger joint in the area, but I wouldn't recommend this location ever again and regret the 30$ I spent there tonight. read more

Got in late and I was so hungry, I decided to order here by my friend's recommendation. I was the only customer and did not mind waiting while the two employees completed my order. I would have waited to let the grease drip into the fryer but it seems like they went directly from the fryer to my bag, on top of the burger that wasn't properly wrapped. The Bun was so wet it had disintegrated! The chocolate banana shake I ordered was like water, so it took 4-5 excuse me's to get one gal who said she would remake it, but then she called the other one to say there was something wrong with the machine. Eating here was a waste of 30 dollars. We decided on going here since Red Robin's wasn't taking done in costumers due to being short staffed . The guy taking my order forgot to hand us our drinking cups after I paid and waited for 15 mins . By the time the food was finish we grabbed a table . I noticed my table was dirty and weren't wiped down so I attempted to clean it myself but they didn't have any napkins accessible so I had to run to my car to grab wipes . Legit, Five Guys burgers and fries really do hit the spot. I normally order through their app online or simply walk in and place the order if time allows. The restaurant is clean, roomy, and fragrant with the smell of beef and potatoes. They try to keep the restrooms spic and span as well. With what's going on in our world, they offer curbside pick up, which I tried the last time I was here. It wasn't really curbside friendly. I placed my order through the app. It said to call the number provided when you get to the restaurant. I called and said I was here for curbside. The guy over the phone said it was going to be a few minutes for the fries as they drop them when we get there. Then, he proceeds to tell me that I can start walking into the restaurant to pick it up. HOLD THE PHONE... I'm not a lazy incapable individual, but wasn't the request for curbside? It really defeated the purpose. He said they were really busy, so whatever, I went inside to grab my order. I wasn't upset about having to go inside. Maybe I was just flabbergasted about the curbside service not being provided when offered. I hope I do make sense and not sound like a snob. Other than that little antidote, the staff does protect themselves and others by wearing masks, washing their hands frequently, replacing their gloves, and providing condiments when requested so not many hands are in the bucket. Customer service is normally good , and prices are higher than fast food chains of course, as they are made when ordered with fresher ingredients. You get what you pay for.
