I am a vegetarian and order my burgers with meat on the side. I double check that they hear me every single time as I will not eat them with the meat on and once the cheese melts you can't take the patty off without removing the other toppings. I cannot tell you how many times I have left and had to turn around because they do not honor my request. I will not be returning to this location as I am tired of having to go back and get my meal replaced. I ran a restaurant for many years so I am pretty understanding but the consistent lack of care is upsetting. I guess they invented a new menu item, the Cheese and Egg Biscuit. I ordered a Cheese, Egg, and Bacon Biscuit...but no bacon. This is just another in a long list in the decline of quality and service, both at this store and others. I worked at McDonald's a long time ago. And I know things change, but things have really gone downhill. And don't blame the workers and asking for/getting higher wages. This is my go-to McDonald's, the restrooms and lobby area are always kept clean and spotless. Any sort of mess from customers is always cleaned up in a timely manner. The food is great! The grill staff makes sure to make the food correctly and the fries are always fresh. I've even seen the managers go in the back and make a sandwich or put down fries to make sure it was done to customer satisfaction. The staff are friendly and well trained. I honestly think that the negative reviews must be either a joke or someone having a bad day because I've never had bad food from here. 10/10 recommend. read more

This place is the absolute worst. I've gone here only three times and each time has been a horrible experience but today takes the cake. Went through the drive through and ordered my usual of a sausage egg mcmuffin with extra round egg and two scrambled eggs on the side. The sandwich did not have an extra egg, the scrambled eggs were so poorly packaged as soon as I took it out of the bag the top came off and eggs fell all over my car seat. The order taker is slow, tells you to pull forward to correct orders which causes the process to take even longer. Line around the building of cars and no lobby open. The operations is sluggish to say the least, the quality control isn't there. I don't expect much from McDonald's but at least get me the food I ordered. I visited the store at around 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. . It was not busy and I was asked to pull forward and wait in the standby parking for my food, so I did that. I wait for about 20 minutes, and still hadn't gotten my food yet. I watched other cars who were parked after I was get their food and leave. My order wasn't big. It was one meal and a Happy meal. I decided to find out what was going on, so I left the standby parking and went into the building. When I walked in I went over to the counter and could hear someone yelling about dropping more fish into the fryers and telling someone they had 5 minutes to steam the grills or they would be sent home. This could be heard from the lobby, as well as the counter. A man who looked like he was maybe in his 30's with a baseball cap, not a branded hat, who I think was the manager, was the one yelling at the staff. After he was done with that, he came over to the counter to help me. I explained my experience in the standby parking to him. He was very rude and condescending and treated me like I was stupid for asking where my food was. He told me that the problem must have been on my end because my food had definitely been brought out to me. I was so humiliated that I just left. I will not be back. What rude management you have employed there. And those poor people that have to work under someone like that. How abusive! read more

5 stars because Sarah has the best customer service! She's the best, always so kind and upbeat. We love seeing her when we come and dine in. However there is a yellow blond haired women at this location who isn't very kind and snappy? I feel like she brings a dark cloud to the atmosphere. Treating others with very little respect in front of customers is not OK. She might even be the manager. I'm not sure. But it's not any way to manage staff. This was my first time visiting McDonald's in Gig Harbor located in Olympic Village. I went to the drive through and placed my tiny order of a six piece Chicken McNugget with sweet 'n sour sauce. The whole process from placing the order to payment to receiving food went very smooth and fast! I looked in the bag and saw the box labeled six Chicken McNuggets and went on my way back home. ...The only downfall was that this super easy order was fulfilled wrong! I received two sausage patties inside my chicken nugget box. Haha! Not sure if this was a prank, or if it was done intentionally or unintentionally. My friends and I went to Gig Harbor to visit 7 Seas Brewery on a Friday night. One of the members of my team calls me and says the changes that we needed to submit within the next hour or so weren't going through on her end and no one else on our team was answering her. My friends and I due to this, left 7 Seas and went to this McDonalds because it had wifi. It was 20 min. before closing the lobby (but not the whole place). Usually I don't go to restaurants this close to closing but I needed the wifi and live over an hour away. Also, there were a decent amount of people still eating/ordering dinner. My friends and I ordered desserts and fries because we felt bad just using the wifi without paying. Anyway, I get the work I need, review it, and go to submit it. This is all going slowly because the wifi was slow, as well. At the exact minute the restaurant closed I had already hit the button to submit it and was just waiting for it to go through. My friends and other people were still eating. The assistant manager comes up and says it is blah blah blah hour we just closed, you need to leave now. I ask if we can just wait a minute until what I sent goes through, that I already submitted it, and that it is important work. He says no we need to leave now, this instant. Then he walks over to the outside door and holds it open. Lucky, my work had gone through in that time. I find this behavior really rude considering they had closed less than a minute prior. Also, on top of this I could hear the male and female manger who appeared to be in their mid-twenties (both thinner and white) talking about having sex with high-schoolers. This has to be the worst McDonalds ever. Twice I have been there and ordered the same thing, with worst results each time. I ordered a filet of fish meal. I asked for a freshly made one, because fish burgers that have been sitting under lamps taste awful. Extra cheese, to be sure they'll do it. Substitute the drink for a milkshake. Happy to pay extra for all of this. The guy, I'm sure is new. He charges me for a drink because he doesn't know how to do the substitution and his manager is standing around BSing. I'm trying to tell him what's happened. She comes over insists I should just get the drink,but she'll give me my $1.00 back, but makes me feel like it's a hassle. I just get the drink, because the guy looks mortified. $11.00 later, I get a green, cold fish sandwich. No extra cheese. The cheese on there is hard. The French fries are cold and dripping with oil, a milkshake and a drink I don't want either. I take a bite of the sandwich, gag, run to the bathroom, try to vomit but there's feces all over the handicapped stall, so I have to use the sink because there's no garbage can. I toss everything in the garbage except the shake. This is a repeat of a time 4 months ago. I ended up spending $11.00 for a crappy milkshake essentially. DO NOT GO THERE' Save yourself! When we got on The road to eat moments later, we found two buns with cheese and no meat, the fries were. Rey cold and limp, and we couldn't get the hot chocolate because their machine was down. Like any franchise not all are equal. This one being a prime example. The food is great when the order is right but with out fail almost every time my order is incorrect. I'll order EXTRA ketchup to find ONLY ketchup, ill order to value meals and only get 1 fry or the soda is well just soda or washed down. My biggest beef is how salty the fries are.
