YAY, McDonald's Teri burger is back.......my favorite, messy, but oh so good. Wonderful hamburger slathered with teriyaki sauce, a tomato, lettuce with fries and iced tea. The drive thru was fast since I ordered with the app ahead of time. Take out is the best, we come home and eat and watch TV....the bestest ambiance ever. Will go again very soon.

I thought everyone loves McDonalds! It's surprising to see EVERY SINGLE McDonalds rated 3 stars (only 2) and lower. Did everything go downhill when McDonalds got rid of their PlayPlace? What happened to Grimace and the Hamburgler?? More concerning, where is RONALD?? It's obvious McDonalds moved away from kids and focused on adults, which I don't believe worked very well. Let kids have fun! Not whatever the heck some kids are doing now. This McDonalds is the quintessential of focusing on adults--making it more like a cafe. It's located in the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center. There's plenty of parking and a drive thru with two ordering stations. It gets pretty backed up while the inside is essentially empty. The inside was very clean and spacious. Cashier was friendly and pleasant. The food was as good as McDonalds can be. Many people complain about getting the wrong items. Can check before you go, right? Happened to me before. Just go back and they'll kindly give you the right items, and on some instances they even know they got it wrong and give you extra! Overall an excellent McDonalds. Clean, solid staff. With the Happy Meal for adults. There's plenty of space to bring back the PlayPlaces....for adults! :p

I love this place because it's ambience is really warm and welcoming. They have a wall acknowledging ALL public high school graduates at graduation season & they had a little table reserved for a decor of MOTHERS DAY with flowers in a vase, a balloon & pillows. SO CUTE! Didnt take a photo tho! Ugh! Also, their food is fresh. So far all orders that were ordered took a while to make because they were constantly cooking from the long line they had. So everyone's food was fresh. Their drive thru is super busy tho. Oh and restrooms are available here! So anyone who needs a quick bathroom stop, HERE'S YOUR PLACE! Only thing is... place is a bit small AND prices seem a bit more than I expected. Unless that's how long I haven't ate at McDonalds. But, overall... This was a great place. Thanks!

I ain't gonna lie to you folks......I'm not much of a fan of McDonald's hamburgers, but if ya wanna talk about McDonald's breakfast, or their ice cream cones? Let's talk!!!! McDonald's in da 808 is unique, as it has some very unique menu items that you can only get in da 808 like a Local Deluxe Platter - which consist of Portuguese Sausage, Scramble Eggs, Spam - or can we say ("Da Hawaiian Steak"), & of course some white rice!!! A hearty breakfast meal that is so satisfying! Eat that everyday, and you'll pay for it later when you gotta pull your blood & visit your doctor later! Lol! All kiddin' aside, McDonald's breakfast is da BESTEST!!! Other items that you can only find at McD's are like our - Taro Pie, Haupia (coconut pudding) Pie, Fruit Punch, Apple Pies that are deep fried (not baked), and recently McD's stopped selling their onolishes Saimin. This particular McDonald's restaurant is located in the Hawaii Kai neighborhood, at the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center. A nice clean restaurant, and because of the nicer area, you will see waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less rift raft hangin' out at this restaurant. My recent adventures here were not for breakfast, but for a nice cold ice cream cone. The cone served at McD's kinda reminds me of Dairy Queen which brings very fond memories as a kid. My only wish is that McD's brings back the Chocolate Dipped Cone, as it's one of my all time favorites.

Lunch with extra lettuce and extra Mc Sauce

My lunch stops on the weekends for lunch breaks. Clean store friendly workers and very happy. Good job workers.

    Walks ups allowed

Almost hit two people in the drive thru since I guess they allow walk ups now told the lady it was stupid idea to be taking their order since you can't really see someone standing right by the window but she didn't care so seems like the do it all the time even knowing there was a car coming since she just took my order. To top it off the got my order wrong as usual

    Haupia pie - so good!

I don't think I've ever given 5 stars to a McDonald's, but there's a first time for everything! I love this McDonald's because they are super fast and there is rarely ever a long line at the drive through! I went there 3 times during my most recent trip, and ordered the same thing - the Portuguese sausage, eggs & rice platter for $5.49. They are super generous with their portions! I also tried their Haupia pie, and that was warm and delicious! Customer service is also friendly and speedy! This location should be the model for all McDonald's!

At the time, he stated that him and his partner were in a competition to see how many triples they could sell, but figured I'd keep that in the back of my mind for our next visit. We came here on a recommendation from my boyfriend's coworker and I'm glad we came! The burgers and fries were made fresh. There are only a hand full of tables inside and a small bar area, but there is also outdoor seating outside, too! A neat fact is that there were pictures posted from when the shop first opened up and to see They Daley as a fixture in Chinatown is amazing since they've stuck around and adapted to the development around. The burger was delicious, too. They have an aioli sauce that was good with diced up pickles. Usually I request no pickles but the small bursts really added to the texture and feel of the burger overall. 10/10 would come again!

I'm pleased to report that this latest order contained a perfectly prepared burger and a bag of crispy fries (as ordered). The remaining nitpicks were: 1) having to wait an additional 10 minutes past the time the order was supposed to be ready, 2) paying $6 for a bag of fries. Increase the price of the burger by $1 and reduce the price of the fries. Yes, the total would be the same but the value would be where it belongs. In any case, $10 is money well spent for a great burger.

I ordered the Wagyu Deluxe Burger, and don't get me wrong--it was juicy, well-seasoned, and served on a soft, slightly sweet bun that tied everything together nicely. It was delicious! But if you blindfolded me, I don't know if I could confidently tell you it was Wagyu. It tasted very similar to a really good smash burger, so unless you're trying to impress your taste buds (or your wallet), I'd probably just order the original smash burger next time. One thing to keep in mind: there was only one guy running the whole operation when I visited. He was taking orders, cooking, and doing everything short of cloning himself. So if the place gets busy, expect a little wait. Honestly, respect to him for keeping it all together. Parking is a bit of a treasure hunt since there are only a few stalls. I got lucky and snagged the last spot, but street parking may be your backup plan. The inside was clean, spacious, and a comfortable place to enjoy your meal. Overall, I'd definitely come back--next time I'll save a few bucks, grab the original smash burger, and let the lone burger superhero work his magic.

Charred hot dog bun, hot dog itself was just okay. Service was good and friendly but it did take some time for food to come out. Place was mostly clean. I had to brush off a ton of powder or something grainy from my seat before I sat down but otherwise the place was nice and seat was comfortable. It's borrowing the space of a completely different restaurant and it's obvious because there's a cooktop in the middle of each table. No points deducted for that though. Just info. Seems like a lot of folks order takeout, but there were also a number of tables filled when I went. I'd come back for sure. That burger was just so good! And good price.

Fries were also golden brown and super crispy--didn't even need sauce or ketchup. We also picked up a couple guava cheesecakes and pumpkin crunch, which didn't disappoint. We came on a Saturday and there were a few people in front of us, but the food came out super fast. We also witnessed the new mural being painted across their wall, which is a work of art in itself. She made us feel genuinely welcomed, took great care of us throughout our meal, and was quick, attentive, and friendly the entire time. Her excellent service made an already enjoyable visit even better. The food was fantastic. The burger was flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly, while the fries were extra crispy with a delicious garlic flavor that really stood out. Since it's an open-air restaurant, it was a little warm dining at around 1:00 p.m., but that was the only minor downside. Overall, everything was lovely, and Christine's outstanding hospitality made the experience memorable. I would definitely come back!

Just push the button and a guy will open The window to help you. Once you place your order bell close it again and you'll just have to wait for it to be prepared. The place is very hard to locate, due to the lack of good signage, but it's in the shopping center right next to the Lobster King. Parking is very difficult too, so maybe have another person with you who can order and wait for the food. I'm not going to lie, the wait time for the food is extremely long for just burgers and fries--took more than 30 minutes--but please keep in mind this is a small business. I think there were only 2 or 3 people working, an auntie, uncle, and a younger guy who I believe was cooking. The food looked so beautiful but everything was too salty and the patties were way too charred, which I'm hoping was a one off thing. I did DM them on social media shortly after picking up our order and they said it was an off day. They offered for me to come back one day so they can make things right, but I don't know if I'll have the time to swing by anytime soon. I truly hope this business does well, they are the sweetest people I've met in the last few months, and I wish them nothing but the best. I hope others have a better experience than I did.
