The old unopened bag trick on my first large fries
HsiaoCheng W.

Is there such thing as negative stars? Door doesn't lock in toilet. No soap. No hand sanitizer. They had our food behind the counter for 15 minutes rather than coming to our table which we entered on the order. They said that's not how it works because it's a mobile order all mobile orders are at the counter. But that's not the options on their app. One is at the table and you enter the table number. I showed them the app. Then they change the story and say nobody was at the table. We were there the whole time. Then the manager said you want me to bring it I'll bring it. And she took it out of the bag and carried it over there. I said I could carry it myself since I was there at the counter. She didn't get it. Thought I was insisting they be my slave and shlep it to my table. Manager misses the point entirely. This is the lamest McDonald's ever

yum, old fries

It never fails that if you go to this McDonalds late at night they seem to give you the bottom barrel fries that has been sitting there for an hour. I had contacted the owner/manager through email which they were very nice into offering me some coupons/vouchers - I kindly declined and just asked them to "fix the problem" instad. Lo and behold I've had it happen more than once after that one incident. I do have my late night cravings which is why I go to this 24 hour McDonalds. But because of this I'd rather be on the safe side and check out other burger joints that are open.

Worst McDonald's to go to. Rude service, we ordered 6pc chicken nuggets for my kid and instead they filled the box with lettuce. When we went back to tell them they knew what we were back for, laughed about it and said it was a mistake. How do you mistake lettuce for chicken nuggets? Who's getting lettuce on the side? If I could give 0 stars I would.

We ordered 4 boxes of 10 nuggets each. We received 8 or less per box. They were warm, the sauces were included and delivery was on time.

This location is disgustingly dirty. I went in bathroom to wash my hands and left because I wouldn't want to eat in a place so filthy.

It's located on the side of the building with an order window. I don't think there was an inside. The place is right next to waffle bus. They open later jn the morning(11 am) which is a bit late for a matcha/coffee shop. There was already a line forming when I got there. The line moved quickly and was well worth the wait. I got two drinks for about $20. I tried the lychee bloom matcha and that tasted different. Aesthetically, it was cute it had some pieces of lychee on a stick just like you would see on a cocktail. The flavor is what you would expect from the name. It tasted like you guessed it lychee but subtly and then there was a hint of a floral flavor. You still get the rich creamy smoothness of the matcha. The matcha was well crafted and tasted authentic. The other drink I had was the duo matcha. Out of the two this was my favorite. The highlight of the drink was the smoothness and creaminess. I don't feel like this drink was even too sweet, it tasted just right. Aesthetically, this one had a lady finger biscuit. Had a whipped creamy appearance. I enjoyed the matcha flavor in this one.

White Dubai chocolate bar - $11 - I think I'll stick to the dark chocolate or milk chocolate varieties as this was a little too sweet for me. It was a good bar, with plenty of pistachio cream and crushed kataifi on the inside. Adeni chai - ($5) - Not as creamy as the Adeni chai I had at Royal Roastery but this was aromatic and had strong cardamom flavors. Overall, this is a great spot to experience Arab culture and some unique treats and beverages. They have a large seating area to socialize.

I ordered a 16oz pistachio Frappuccino, a Turkish baklava and another round pastry. The Frappuccino did have a rich flavor of pistachio that did not taste artificial while still keeping some of the coffee flavor and the sweetness was just right by not being too sweet or the lack there of. The Turkish baklava had a nice crunch to it due to the outer layer and on the inside was a smooth creamy texture both pairing well with each other. The other dessert or pastry, I'm not sure on the name but it was my favorite. It also had the same crunch as the baklava but the center had a sweet nuttiness to it that reminded me of a Mexican dessert, although small the flavors made up for it. Service is pretty quick as there seems to be about 3 maybe 4 employees behind the counter and the area is very large with a seating area that is just as large.

This is a great spot to get some solo work done or meet with a group. It is not too loud, and they are located within a strip so parking is plentiful. Their menu had a wide variety of hot/cold drinks and sweet treats that you'd typically find in a Yemeni coffee shop, all reasonably priced. The pistachio latte was good, nothing extra memorable but it was what I was looking for in the moment. Keeping this place in mind next time I plan to work remotely from River Oaks (:

Iced pistachio latte ($7.50) - This latte had a strong pistachio flavor and had almost a buttery feel to it. I really enjoyed it and it was one of the better pistachio lattes that I have tried. Dubai chocolate ($6) - This consisted of a large milk chocolate bar filled with rich pistachio cream and kataifi (crispy shredded phyllo dough). It tasted amazing and much better than most places selling these. Pricing was reasonable. Overall I enjoyed my latte and dessert. The interior has some Yemeni decor and there is quite a bit of seating. The only negative is that I wish they had more sweet and snack offerings.

I actually loved my first visit, I came back with my husband the next day. I first ordered the pistachio latte hot. I asked for light syrup and low fat milk which was perfect for me. It had chunks of pistachio in it which was cool. The second day I came back with my husband and he ordered the same pistachio latte but full sweet and I got the pandan latte with light ice, light foam, and low fat milk. They incorporate the low fat milk well as some places tend to burn it. The pandan was great and I'm not even a ice coffee lover. Smooth, creamy. I could not really taste the pandan but the matcha came across. I asked the barista about their syrups and beans. I learned that most of their syrups are made in house and they get their beans from a family friend. They used to make their own and are thinking about doing it again which is a great sign of a quality shop. For sure a great little place.

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.
