This McDonald's and has been at this location since the late 1970s (maybe even longer.) This McDonald's is the closest one to the house I was raised in (around the corner), and we frequented it in high school, and afterwards! If you exited this McDonald's onto Independence Drive you would curve past the movie theater and could easily exit going north on Jordan Lane - this was a very convenient cut through. Momma loved their burgers and fries! I think we can all agree the McDonald's French fries are delicious! I haven't stopped here since the remodel a few years ago; however, it's nice to know it's still here! Over the years, I've gotten Egg McMuffins and Sausage Burritos here, Quarter Pounders for Momma, Sausage Biscuit with Egg and plain Sausage Biscuit, and Happy Meals for my nieces and nephews and honorary nieces. Thanks McDonald's for employing many of my high school classmates and providing economical food options so close to my childhood home! read more

I cant believe I'm writing another complaint when I just made a complaint last Saturday (March) on another McDonalds also on University Drive. I'm going to be brief.... this McDonald's loves to upsize you on drinks. Yes, its just $.60, but no I did not ask for it. I ordered food at 8:30pm (drive thru), waited in lo for an extremely long line, asked if I wanted round up - I said YES, get to window and its these "Big A$$ Large" drink (2). I say to the young man,I did not ask you to upsize my drinks and I was generous already and did a round up for the McDonald house. This guys says ok, gotcha and brings me the "Super Size" drinks. Ok, guess that was his way of trying to make it right with the customer, so I did not give him the drill. What I'm going to say is.....CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! It's sad that you have to remember to say "NO UPSIZE ON THE DRINKS" because this McDonald is either telling their staff to do this or they dont have integrity. The franchise owners don't feel like they have to respond. No worries. I'm really rethinking the Golden Arch fries and might have to go to another Burger Joint - McDonalds has terrible customer service and I think it's time for me to say Tschüss to Ronald and Hallo to Wendys. read more

My roommate and I made orders on the mobile app for breakfast, but when we got there they told us they were no longer making breakfast even tho we ordered ahead of time. The absolute nastiest restaurant I have ever been to. I think they have finally actually started cleaning the floors last time I went but I have to clean my own table. They also used to make me wait about 15-20 minutes just for a coke. The last time I went here I noticed on the menu that i couldn't order a sundae so i ordered a Carmel frappe instead. They were pretty busy when I ordered so I sat down to wait. About 30 minutes passed before they informed me that I couldn't get a frappe either because they forgot to flip a switch on the machine. Also this same staff member informed me that she couldn't refund my money because she was a shift manager. Waited a while longer & a manager came & refunded my money. I kept my receipt. I checked my account & saw the $5 charges for the frappe & $5.21 charge that was taken out of my account that I never made! The next day the $5 showed up as a refund & then it was taken out again! Now I put $10.21! I called my bank & told them that the situation & got my money put back into my account. Just so you know this is fraud! The service at this McDonald's is deplorable! Horrible experience. Half a mile away from the "other" McDonald's, I placed an order with the app, saw it was on US72, and assumed it was the closest place. Instant charge, and no ability to change location. The app informed me I was at the wrong location. Drove 10 minutes against traffic to get to the other Huntsville US72 location, where I sat trapped in the drive-through for FIFTEEN minutes without moving once. More than 45 minutes after placing my mobile order I did receive my food. The order was accurate, and is the only reason for any grace. This is the WORST McDonald's location in Huntsville and ive been from Maine to Florida and to California and this is the worst McDonald's as far as the customer service if you order a coffee your drinks are wet on the outside and the kids aren't on EVER so you spill it on yourself going through the drive through and they're breakfest sandwiches are just thrown together by the time you open it up there not wrapped properly the condiments are on the outside of the wrapper and the sandwiches are just frustrating by the time you see em you wanna bring it in and complain but don't wanna cause most of stop here on way to work etc avoid this McDonald's at all cost! read more

Most times when I do a drive-through order something is wrong I now realize. Today, lite ice in my drink so I don't run out of my drink. I ordered a big Mac and there was barley any Mac sauce . I ordered a carmel and a mocha frappe and there was barley any carmel as well as mocha. fries were cold as well. I did get a container of Carmel though. Everything was sloppy and was not well put together. The absolute worst McDonalds in the city. There is almost always something wrong with my order. Its either wrong or cold or just made poorly or something is missing. It takes forever to get food regardless of if you go in or through the drive-thru. They have a sign that says their lobby is open 24hrs but its actually not. That wouldnt be a big problem normally but they refuse to take multiple orders in the drive-thru (which makes sense since they can't seem to handle one order). Not the best McDonalds I've ever been too! The service is slow and the cashiers are either texting on there phones, or look at you with the most disinterest in your order. I have never been there that I didn't have to wait at least 10 to 15 minutes before I get my food. Almost everything is cold and bland. The cleanliness of the building is awful, always sticky floors and a foul oder in the restroom area. The restrooms are to bad for words! Just don't go in there!!!
