I got their No. 5 Elixir, which is a mixture of charcoal mango lemonade and a lot of mango bits. First and foremost, I'm happy that it didn't stain my teeth as I drank it, haha. From what I saw, most of the counter staff behave in a rude, arrogant, and disrespectful way toward customers, although there may be exceptions. Some employees may not get involved, but the overall atmosphere behind the counter feels very unpleasant. There was a situation where a person was waiting in line, just standing a little to the side, and some employees started acting like he was trying to skip the line and began confronting him for no reason. Instead of normal customer service, there was attitude, accusations, and disrespectful behavior. Another uncomfortable situation was with the language. When someone clearly understands Russian or Ukrainian but deliberately responds in English and acts like they don't understand the customer, it looks disrespectful and unprofessional. Especially when it is obvious that the person understands what is being said. Again, the café itself may be okay, but the main group working behind the counter really ruins the experience. Customers should be treated with respect, regardless of what language they speak or where exactly they are standing while waiting in line. Very unpleasant experience. What confused and upset me was that shortly after, a white man came in and she told him he could sit down, take his time, and order whenever he was ready because "it's not busy." The difference in treatment was very noticeable and honestly made me uncomfortable as an African-American woman. Maybe this was a misunderstanding, but the interaction did not sit right with me. I believe every customer should be treated with the same patience and respect, especially first-time customers who are simply trying to understand how the restaurant works.
