Update: This location is starting to go downhill. It used to be that sometimes i would get what I ordered and other times not so much. Now everytime I go there the order is never right. I ordered teo mcflurries and they told us the ran out of the normal size cups so they put it in a kids meals cup which is like 6oz and made a big deal when we gave them back. Other times they give us the wrong sandwiches or give me the completely wrong order... frustrating. I like to come to this Mcdonalds for a smoothie and oatmeal sometimes and they "sometimes" get my order right. Last time I was there, for my rare occassion of pigging out, they accepted our burger king coupons :D but the lobby soda fountain was gross! On the way home from a long shift at work, I decided to stop off at McDonalds for a bite. There was 2 cars in the drive-thru, one in each order window. I pulled into the left drive-thru and waited for my turn. After the car in front of me proceeded forward, it was my turn. I waited for the right side drive-thru to give their order and then I would give mine. The car on the right side proceeded after their order so I was waiting to give mine. No employee said anything. Another car went to the right side and ordered so I thought "ok they must not see me" but then 2 more cars ordered and still I didn't get any service. I shouted at the intercom and still nothing. I ended up waiting for one more car on the right to pass and finally left after no one took my order. Total of 4 cars passed me and I didn't get to order. This McDonald's location is terrible. Weak customer service. -10/10 would not recommend. If I could give a 0 star I would. read more

McDonalds is a great place if you are in a pinch, it is cheap and convenient. I think that the restaurant is very dirty with flies and dirt so it is better for the drive thru. The burgers are ok and I love the chicken tenders, make sure also to make room for the McFlurrys they so good read more

There has only been 3 restaurants in my lifetime that have given me food poisoning or made me extremely sick to my stomach that i was throwing up for a week, this place recently did that to me. And with that said, i'll NEVER come back to the place that has made me that sick. Once you mess up, you're dead to me. Knowing of the recent staff changes in my last review, hiring new inexperienced people & management not running this specific store correctly, i finally realized that it wasn't worth it anymore after becoming ill. I was sick last November with severe stomach pains that lasted a week for me after noticing as i ate, that my fish sandwich was not cooked correctly, it was soggy & still cold. The fries tasted weird, & turned around & threw it all up. Not the best thing to hear but the pains are what really made me angry. No restaurant should put their customers through hell ever! But before i became sick & after writing my previous review in June, they did the following things to me. Forget to give me my burger or fries 5+ times. They never remember napkins in the drive thru (8/10 times). They give me the wrong Mc cafe drink, they don't pay attention to what you say at drive thru often or your order for that matter. They don't mix your hot coco, add any sugar or creme to your coffee, they don't add any chocolate to your hot coco (i got hot milk, that was it). When i ordered a apple pie, they said they were out after having paid for it already. After them asking what else i wanted to have in its place, i said "small fry" & they give me a cherry pie instead....I DIDN'T WANT A CHERRY PIE! They over charged me once. Sometimes the fries taste weird & wait times are still dreadfully long! Here's an update to the service. The people behind the counter work extremely slow. And for the times i'm ordering inside with no line or 1-3 people ahead of me, the wait times are like the drive thru, LONG! I waited 20 minutes after placing my order. The women making the food were slow or inexperienced or in training. The plus side was the middle eastern guy at the counter who was speedy with my order & didn't mess up at all & was at least friendly. Everyone else had a "dead" expression on their face & was most unfriendly. The young workers here have been laid back or lazy at times when other mcdonalds in King County have been focused & speedy. This place has NO DISCIPLINE! Everyone is just thinking this is a walk in the park, dead end job. No one is taking anything serious. And it shows. After saying it took me 45 minutes in the drive thru this summer, even when there wasn't a line, i now know why after being inside often seeing how they make my food. And funny thing is whenever i'm inside, there are people from the drive thru who rush inside & say "Where's my food" "This is cold" "My food wasn't made right" "The fries are cold". So it's nice coming inside & actually seeing my food being made. I watch them like a hawk. Well now i don't need to watch them like a hawk anymore because i'm never coming back. If you're going to serve me under cooked food, then you should be fired. I have yet to take my complaints to a district manager about this location but be warned, don't eat from here! EVER. Unless staff changes, i wouldn't bother stopping by. Also don't work here, there are better places if you wanna take your job seriously. Or better Mcdonalds for that matter. Terrible service, food is never hot, and I can completely understand being slammed and falling behind a little, we are all human. However, when multiple people are leaving drive through and only a handful of customers are inside and counting more staff than customers I sort of expect service to be satisfactory if not at least apologize for the inconvenience. Don't stand around shouting and goofing around. Long day at work this is the last thing I wanted to encounter. If I can give 0 stars I would. We went in after boating all day, it took over 5 minutes to be acknowledged, then waited over 17 minutes for our food! They gave us 2 burgers after 7 minutes, then one of 4 fries 3 minutes later, we found the manager hanging with friends and told her our complaint, she went to the back, we thought she was helping, nope! She just went back and sat down. We demanded our money back, the assistant manager gave us our money back, no apologies or nothing he said nothing at all!!! We were so appalled that we went back a few days later to talk to the GM. The GM did not seam to care much either! This is the biggest joke of a McDonald's I've ever seen. Never go to this one! HOWEVER as a helpful hint...the one on meeker st. is good. The burgers don't set around for ages and when you ask for ANYTHING "fresh", you get to wait and have it hot...which is nice. I've been here multiple times and I don't know why I keep trying. I once decided to walk in and order an iced coffee because the drive thru line was packed. It took nearly 20 minutes to get it from the lobby. I am glad I didn't try from my car as o have say in their line for a long time before. Every once in awhile I will take another chance on this location thinking no business can be that bad all of the time and they always fail to disappoint. Count on LONG waits and WRONG orders or something they are "out" of (seriously; don't advertise a new item if you can't supply it!!!!!). October 16 I went through drive through and ordered a regular sized oreo mcflurry, it came in a 12 oz cup. I was satisfied October 17 I went through drive through and ordered two regular sized mcflurrys. At the window they tried to hand me 2 snack sized mcflurrys. I informed them that I had ordered regular size. She calls to someone else inside, who was too busy to come to the window or even respond at all. The employee then told me that these are regular size mcfurries. I told her i was here the day before and that regular size is larger than those. She called inside again to another employee but again got no response. Frustrated, she again told me that these are regular size and that the snake size are "this big" and gave a hand measurement to the cup. Because i didn't want to argue it further, and people behind me in line, I decided to take the mcflurries and return home to obtain my Regular sized cup from yesterday. I come to this restaurant at least once a week. They have a great deal of turnover with their employees. With that said, they have always been friendly and helpful. I used to order their chicken snack wrap but they discontinued that menu item. I love their "all day breakfast items." Their egg McMuffins are great...always hot! I walked into McDonalds at 2:45 pm to find an employee that was moving and talking in gang like manner wearing his McDonalds hat backwards so he had the baseball type hat strap over his forehead, fur trimmed hooded coat and gold chains around his neck, behind the counter calling order to the back cooking area. He had no McDonalds uniform branding and he was talking "gang talk" like Yo, Yo, this and that and then as I waited for my sandwich, he went outside and was smoking and spitting on his break as I sat in my car to eat my sandwich. okay...since i moved to des moines this past june i have been to this location three times. the first visit, the milkshake machine was broken. the second time i found out that they could not take credit cards for payment, only telling everyone after they placed their order. they said they put up a sign and also said it must have blown away...why not just tell everyone when they place their order. i was just there again this new year's eve. it was late at night. you could only order certain things after midnight, and they were now CLEANING the milkshake machine. we waited 16 minutes to get what we ordered. some people actually got out of their cars to complain. also, i ordered a hamburger with extra extra pickle. it normally comes with two pickles, and surprise, i got a whoppin one extra pickle. this location is such an embarrasment compared with my previous location in renton highlands and newcastle. they should just close this place down!!! read more
