He did his best to ask his team to help him, but they clearly ignored him. Stopped in to grab the new Hot Honey Chicken Cheesesteak. Greeted upon arrival by a staff that was mopping the floor. Another staff behind the counter took my order and the wait wasn't more than 5-7mins. Sandwich was alright.. I love hot honey but I just don't think the sweet went well with the savory this time, I would have preferred hot peppers to give it a kick. Why does one order ahead? Generally people order ahead to avoid waiting in line or to avoid talking to people. I had to do both of those things to get my food. I arrived at 12:40 and had to wait an hour, it would've been faster for me to wait in line and order. It took having to talk to someone to ask where my food is and they announce to the rest of the staff "Joseph is here" no I've been here for 40 minutes. As it turns out the food was marked as made. No one took off with my food it was just marked as made despite there being no bags on the pick up shelf. There was another customer who had a similar gripe with waiting and the staff's response was "you could've just left". The younger staff works hard to cover for one shorter lady staff member who has her phone glued to her hand. (Koodos to the other staff members that covered her and did not show their anger because if I was working with her I would be pissed). She's also just flat out rude. I witnessed her not even look at the costumer and then demand, "what do you want?". She made my sandwich and got it completely wrong. And I know for a fact she was aware she made it wrong too because I heard the other staff members trying to correct her as she's making it. I took my sandwich knowing it was wrong anyway - it was super busy and there was basically only one person and I'm not the kind of person to have some do it completely over again. The store was also pretty dirty; tons of crumps, dust, on the ground. During which, a customer going thru the line complained to the manager of the store about the cook throwing something at him which all the manager did was kick him off cooking. I typically have a great experience when i come into Jersey Mikes in Kent today was not quite the same. as i walked in, it was not busy, just before the lunch rush. I waited several minutes before i was greeted to make my order, the women employee did not seem to be completing orders before. either the menu is incorrect or the employees are not quite sure what goes on a some of the sandwiches. I asked the Super Sub which contains Provolone, Ham, Prosciuttini and cappacuolo. the team gave me what looks to maybe be a club supreme. and put Mayonnaise on it before i could even say no, looking very annoyed because i said no mayo she grabs another loaf of bread and cuts the loaf down the middle and mishandled food that i was going to eat. as I went to pay for the meal the women says when i asked for the the super sub that i ordered a number 8 and realize that it wasn't what i ordered. I took the sub because i felt put out of the way to ask the associates to, make it it right. So I arrived to 1 employee working up front. The guy in the back didn't come to the grill for 15 minutes. This is NOT my complaint. The staff deserves to take a break and rest. It was around 4 o'clock if I remember correctly. It was the weekend. The girl up front doing sandwiches all by herself was absolutely on FIRE! She had no support but never faltered, never stopped smiling, and never quit moving. PROMOTE this girl ahead of her peers. He is the best fast food worker I have seen in action and is a breath of fresh air from the usual folks in these customer service jobs. I can't believe I haven't written a review of one of the best sandwiches on the planet! I always order the Jersey Shore Favorite and of course mikes way with extra Mayo! So very satisfying and delicious! I love love love love this sandwich! The only drawback is it's like over 1,100 calories! So needless to say I don't go very often. The added bonus, the root beer and vinegar chips and that's the beauty of a lunch! This location has impeccable, kind, sweet polite and very enthusiastic staff. This location was one of the very first Jersey Mike's I visited many years ago and the food and the service has always been excellent! The staff is very efficient and remembered five different sandwiches that we ordered and made them just the way we wanted them, without error. The staff is also very friendly and communicative and function well to provide good service! The meats and breads are head and shoulders above the other chain Deli shops and you'll never go wrong ordering any of the sandwiches here. I cannot recommend a better Deli shop to grab a sandwich at than a Jersey Mike's and this one operates fantastic like the rest! This company knows what it's doing no matter which store I've going to. I order a sandwich at least once a week, delivered by DoorDash, and I've noticed the quality of the food prep is declining. For a few months now the bread has been stale, hard as a rock. I always order the #13 with extra cheese, it's my fave. I have been having to microwave it to soften up the bread. It's just so hard that when you try to take a bite all of the fillings just fall out at the end. But today I ordered my usual, there were no problems with the delivery but the sandwich I received was a hot mess. Maybe the sandwich makers made a mistake and gave me extra meat as well as cheese. Normally I wouldn't complain about free extras, but it actually made the sandwich inedible. The meat overwhelmed everything. It was hanging out of the sides and the end. I actually had to remove some ham so I could actually eat it. 2 giant pieces of ham, actually. It also made my sandwich very Dry. And it was messy. There were toppings falling out all over. It was really hard to eat. Disappointing experience. I often wonder if the sandwiches made for deliveries is not made with the same care you would get if you came to the store in person. It's almost like they don't care about delivery orders, because it's hard to return your food and complain. It might be awhile before I order from this store. Entering the business I was greeted by one of the workers then directed to the "Order Line". I questioned the worker behind the counter as to which sandwich h would recommend for a first time experience and he said, "The Jersey Mike's Famous Philly Cheese Steak (#17)". "To go please", I replied. It took a few minutes to prep the sandwich, but I really like the idea of watching the meat, cheese & vegies being cooked. Can you say 'freshness'? Every employee in the place appeared fired up, enjoying their work and smiling. What a refreshing atmosphere. Was handed my nice hot sandwich and proceeded home to enjoy. The first bite did me in. Sandwich was bursting with meaty/cheesy flavor and the Rosemary Parmesan Bread blended it's flavors perfectly with the sandwich ingredients. Great, great sandwich Jersey Mike's. Normally this would be 5 stars. BUT the gal that fixed my sandwich must not have understood what "Mike's Way" means. I ordered a number 13. She said: Mike's Way? I said YES just light lettuce and extra onions. She put the extra onions on and started piling the lettuce on-- I said light on the lettuce, please. She did remove it but then put the sandwich together. I said how about the juice and what about the seasonings? She did put them on finally after asking. So I was enroute to an appointment and I saw a roadside sign saying Jersey Mike's this exit. Now once you exit you are on your own because I couldn't find it easily. Once I arrived I parked nearby as it is located in a strip shopping center. The line to order was mammoth in fact never one that I ever saw in any Jersey Mike's. Once I was able to order I got a full sized Jersey Shore hey why not that is where I am from and this depressing Seattle day I needed some warmth from home. If you plan on ordering online be ready to spend at least 20-45 min waiting for your order after it was supposed to be ready. I have had this happen too many times to count. While I stand waiting for my order with multiple other people, we watch as others walk through the door and order in person and walk out in less than 5 min while all of our online orders sit on the counter waiting to be made. There only have one person making sandwiches while approx 5 others are standing around. No one there seems to give two $&!ts about the customers or their wait time.
