How do you review McDonald's? They are the same throughout the nation and only the decor is different. There is not much variation on the menu from one to the other. It's just... McDonald's. This particular McDonald's is clean, easy to access and it's fast (kinda the name of the game, right?). Nothing outstanding either way about this restaurant. The reason McDonalds has been so successful is because of the uniformity. A quarter pounder in Nome, Alaska will taste the same as a quarter pounder in Possum Grape, Arkansas. I have never had an issue with their food. Truth be told, there are things on the menu I crave. Sometimes you just gotta have a Big Mac or a double cheeseburger. I have never thought their fries were great but they do hit the spot. I actually like the breakfast food more than their regular food. The only issue I've had is just a personal preference and that is the amount of ice they put in their drinks. I happen to like ice in my drinks. Mountains and glaciers of ice. With their automated machines, though, McDonalds just puts a spit of ice in their cups. That's the one thing I wish could change. The prices are reasonable for what you get. The service is average. I've never had problems with smirky servers. The restaurants are clean. I think they do a good job of making sure the establishments are clean. This used to be a great McDonald's. Now, you can not go in to eat without having to deal with the homeless people there. Napkin dispensers are not available for the paying patrons because of the homeless people. There is a sign stating inside visits are limited to 60 minutes. Last night we watched a homeless man move his stuff from one table to another. I guess the sign means 60 minutes per table. After his stuff was moved he went over to another table to watch the tv and started combing his hair and beard over the clean table. I will not be visiting this McDonald's until they get the homeless population out of the restaurant. read more

Place is open whenever they feel like it, despite being advertised as 24hrs. Have been to this drive thru multiple times over several weeks, so unfortunately I am more than familiar with awful this location is. Come here if you're feeling lucky. If not, be prepared to wait in never ending lines that wrap around the entire building. Despite calling themselves "fast" food, it's hardly ever fast or even decent food. I'm an advocate for worker's rights - but locations like this makes me question raising the minimum wage. read more

Was double charged for some food on the mobile app. Never will come back unless I don't have to pay for it. Manager was there saying that I still have to pay yet they basically robbed me then gave my money back to me on my card. I'm pregnant and my husband got pissed. Worst experience ever at a McDonalds! Ordered 2 happy meals asked for ranch and ketchup! She said your order says you didn't order sauce. I said OK can I have ranch and ketchup please. She handed me 2 packets of ranch ! I said can I have some Ketchup also? She said I just handed you a bunch of ranch! Apparently if you go thru drive up it's a inconvenience to give you condiments! It's a McDonalds. You know what you are getting when you go there. The odd thing is, you have to drive around the building 2 times to use the drive through. I'll never complain about the food...it's McDonalds. What I will say is the service is never too great with the workers being so rude. it has a lot to do with management. I was indoors waiting for my order and observed the manager just completely being condescending to one of her workers- Even pushed him with her body to the side. Screaming at employees telling them they are doing a bad job when they were actually working super fast. So if you ever get a grumpy rude worker at this location, blame management for treating their employees like crap. read more

Worst McDonald's ever. The food is constantly cold, they always mess up orders (pretty much every time), they only accept cash maybe 50% of the time (which seems sketchy), and they're randomly not open, despite being a 24hr location. How hard is it to put the right amount of items in a bag? Cuz the employees at this place act like it's the hardest thing on planet earth. An absolute moron could figure out that when the order is for two hamburgers, TWO hamburgers are supposed to go in the bag. I don't think I've had a genuinely positive experience at this McDonald's, and every time they give me another bag of soggy, cold, stale food, I want to hang myself. Visited Mcdonald's fast food restaurant at 3241, iowa st, lawrence on 2/2/20, super bowl day between 12:30- 1:30 pm. The parking is all around the restaurant. There is drive thru service. Be careful while walking from parking space into the restaurant, since cars will be coming uncomfortably close. Once inside, interior looks very nice, large enough for large crowd, has modernistic look. Floor area and table tops has some debris, being fast food place. Rest room is large, needs constant clean up of the floor. My order of Mcchicken from dollar menu was taken immediately and ready in less than 5 min. One item, ranch sauce was given after asking. They will give only when asked, never volunteer, only one. Extra is extra charge for each. Food is good, service is good, you can never ever beat the price of dollar menu item. Taking every thing into consideration, i will give this place a rating of 3*. read more

Food very stale and poorly prepared. I went to McDonalds at about 12:30pm on a Sunday. They were busy because of the lunch rush. After a very long wait, I received my food and made the 5 minute drive home to eat with my family. Upon arriving home, I discovered that all of the food was cold and stale. The chicken nuggets were hard and inedible, the fries were cold and soggy and the Big Mac was not properly assembled. I have had numerous problems with my orders at this McDonalds and will never frequent this restaurant again and may never go to any McDonalds franchise again due to this bad experience. read more
