The lady that took our order was extremely disrespectful, she handed us our food and we gave her our card, she proceeded not to run it and tell us we "had no money" we asked her to run the card because she didn't even swipe it and she said "no, you have no money" multiple times. This is the best McDonald's in kansas in my opinion. I eat a lot of McDonald's and have been to quite a few of them and many times at that. This one I have never got something that has not been the best I've ever had from this McDonald's compared to others. On top of that customer service is great! As well they are very quick. The fries and nuggets are always so consistent and didn't disappoint, Delicious as always. The food came out really quick too. The inside is really nicely decorated with all sorts of KU stuff too. This was my first time trying the shamrock shake and I would definitely suggest! The people were nice and all around good experience. McDonald's always got your back! read more

The fries may have been best ever, the service was fast, friendly and correct, and the place was very clean. The prices seem on par with what we're used to with food a thousand times better than any other McDs we've visited in a very long while. I'd like to start this review with a reference that, me and my touring rocking band have been to this location before. I will say the facility has been desirable on both visits! But this visit really blew me away! :) We walked into the extravagantly well lit hamburger bistro after performing our concert (rock on!:) ) and had quite the appetite! The establishment was state of the art, with futuristic cyberpunk-esque computer screens lining the walls! Excited, our caravan lined up and began tapping away at the screens. Placing our orders, and selecting our table number to have the meals delivered. (We of course chose the most academic choice, #69!) The food was prepared and dropped off to our entourage with care and expert preparation. Every SINGLE item was hot and fresh, I expected nothing less from the brolic, handsome manager "John" who had rang up all of our meals, and delivered them with expedient expertise. The filet of fish was to DIE for! My bandmate quickly devoured his while I chose to savor my meal made for kings! The apple pie was also exquisite, like it had been prepared by Ronald himself!!!! I suddenly had an overwhelming urge immediately to stand up from my seating arrangement and shake the hand of the Michelin star chef who had prepared our meals. The Sweetened Tea was to DIE for, perfectly sugared and brewed, I felt as if I was instantly hydrated and refreshed upon drinking my large chalice, instantly making my muscles grow twice in size and my chi balanced, giving me mind powers and super strength for a short time akin to that of something from the hit TV sensation, "The Boys" available on Amazon Prime exclusively, Now on Season 3. That guy Homelander is a real bastard. Really thought he couldn't become more of a dick than he already was in the first two seasons but boy, will he surprise you.:) My fellow scholar, and compatriot: Christopher, a knowledgeable qualified Sensory Evaluator, also a Cup Bearer, had quite the sizeable and delicious order! His order included: a Mcdouble Deluxe, A Big Mac, Filet Of Fish. I also would like to include, the Mcdouble was prepared specially, with custom ingredients added: Lettuce, Pickle, mayonaise, onion, Ketchup, and Mustard! Christopher quickly devoured the meal with a double thumbs up! Quite the feat. And quite a pleasurable experience all around outside of the meal, the facility was clean, well lit, did not stink, and the manager was quick to serve the caravan efficiently with deadly efficiency! The bathroom facility was adorned with marble tile floor, with lavender scent. The sinks also fit for a king, this Mcdonalds was the apex of bistros while on tour. Everyone and every place should take an example in the pride and cleanliness of this establishment! Hats off John! This is an employee that is not only an asset to the company, but should be valued as a big part of this restaurant's success :) read more

This is a truly bad McDonald's, they gave me a medium smoothie when I ordered a large and didn't give another one with the right size. My friend got the artisan chicken sandwich and it was a mess, they put soooo much sauce everywhere and the chicken was rubbery. Not terrible but definitely not a good place to stop. We all know the quality of McDonald's food. Nothing to write home about. The purpose of McDonald's is a relatively inexpensive way to fill your tummy until you can eat something decent. I eat at Mickey D's a lot, simply for convenience. This was the case this past Saturday. We were in a rush to get to Manhattan, so we all piled into the Camry and blasted down I-70 only to realize that we were all famished, most of us not having eaten breakfast and now here it was 2:30 pm. Hark! There be a Mickey D's calling to us from a service area just outside of Lawrence, Kansas, home of the fabulous University of Kansas Jayhawks. We slid in, ordered, and slid right out. It's convenient, it's fast, if you've gotta do it, do it, but don't talk about it too much. Doing a Mickey D's in a service area of a toll highway is kind of like looking at a dirty magazine while you're staying over night at your mom's house.
