Just had the new Arch burger here. It was awful. I am unsure how it is even supposed to taste. They forgot the crispy onions and the sauce on mine and my husband's both. We just paid $23 bucks for two burgers and large and medium fry and a coffee and a water. I am at McDonalds so I wasn't expecting much, but one would hope that they could have at least assembled their new burger correctly. A cheeseburger would have tasted better than this very dry burger that was mostly bun and slivered onions. Uck. We had to get ketchup to choke it down it was so dry. We stopped here on the way to Bloomington for a quick potty break and snack. They have a small play area, but it's s fun one. The little guy likes it. Bathrooms were clean, place was clean. I like to stop at McDonald's more now that they have frozen Coke! Hubby had a Big Mac said it was good. Little one enjoyed his chocolate milk and I loved my frozen Coke! No complaints. read more

I was on the road early to make sure I would arrive in Champaign, IL in time for a 9AM meeting. Having a 24 oz coffee with me in the car, by time I got near Litchfield it was time for a potty break. If you have ever traveled 55 North, you know the cloverleaf at Litchfield has everything you need or want in fast food and gas. A billboard before the exit for McDonald's was advertising, "New Look" so I thought I'd I drive a little further down the exit and see what this "new look" was. Wow, this didn't look like any McD's I have ever seen and it was in the middle of farm fields in central IL. The dining room was rather plush with flat screen TV's and more comfortable tables then you typical fast food joint. The counter where you placed your order even had a more upscale feel. However, the one feature that blew me away was the reason I really stopped in for and that was the bathroom. The men's room was as plush as a master suite bathroom. Ceramic title walls, granite trough basin and automatic everything. I didn't have to touch the toilet to flush, the faucet for water or soap and an automatic hand drier. When exiting the door pushed open, another win. Most fast food restrooms are nasty, not here. Having used their facilities I felt obligated to get something, so I grabbed a Sausage English Muffin and some more coffee before hitting the road again. Their early morning staff was perky and friendly. My only regret is that I forgot to take pictures to share with my Yelp family. read more

Slowest McD drive thru ever. Waited at least 5 - 7 minutes in line. Then get my food and the fries are not hot. You would think with all the people going thru the drive thru it wouldn't be a problem. Now they have me sitting separately waiting for hot fries. So far waited another 3-4 minutes. How long does it take to cook fries? At least they fries were hot the 2nd time! read more

Very impressed by the staff at this location. I don't remember the gentlemen's name, but he had Down Syndrome and was taking care of the lobby. This man never stopped cleaning and was always working hard. He was a pleasure to speak to and I enjoyed my meal even more. I feel bad that I can't remember his name, but wanted him and that location to get recognized. read more

As a local patron of this place, I can tell you why this place only get 1 star. Terrible customer service. They do not smile. Once they serve your food, they quickly walk away without asking you if you need anything else, i.e. condiments. Otherwise you will have to wait another 5 minutes before any employee notice you. Again, they do not smile. Go somewhere else. Wendys has the best smile. Or drive to the next McDonald's, either at Hamel, IL or Springfield, IL. read more

Met friends 6/6/18 about 4/ 430 pm to let gradchildren play. The play area from the seats to floor was sticky. I wouldn t let my children eat off the tables. Food between seat cushion felt my pants would stick to seat. If I bring my children they won t be playing in there. read more

I stopped before work. I waited 10 minutes to even get to the ordering station even though there were only 2 cars in front of me, only to be told when I got there they aren't serving sodas. My husband and I have been steady patrons of this McDonalds for years. In the last two years we've had our orders so messed up that we started asking for special requests (i.e. no pickles, no cheese on the Quarter Pounder, plain cheeseburgers). Tonight was the last straw. The order placed was for McPick 2 Big Macs, a Quarter Pounder HAMBURGER without pickles, a large order of French Fries, and a Chocolate Shake. The order taker obviously had earplugs in and was paying attention to the music on his/her IPOD. The order received was McPick 2 Big Macs, a Quarter Pounder WITH CHEESE minus pickles and a chocolate shake. It's sad to think that a place we enjoy stopping at during our outings has gone so far downhill. Yeah, it may be well decorated and have special amenities, but really they need to spend more time and money training their staff. Staff at my workplace are told to leave their cell phones and IPODS in the car. Maybe it's time the manager at Litchfield McDonalds does the same thing with his staff. read more

I take my Autistic son there EVERY DAY cause about all he will eat in McDonald's Fries and Spam Lite . I have never had a problem till today the manager was rude and needs to be fired. My son watches the workers up in front make drinks and every one is always thoughtful and extra nice cause most of them know his condition. So today Atticus turned 7 so that's where we went and he was doing the usual and Pat Paine them manager said he was not a babysitter and I cant leave him unattended first off I would never leave my 7 year old unattended. I walked out side a few times to vape and watched through the window this happened maybe 4 times in over an hour so the last time I walked out for my 30 second smoke here comes this rude manager saying not to leave him alone and he's not a babysitter. I will be talking to the owner asap. I told him he was over reacting and I'm not leaving him alone if I was looking through the window all I can say is the manager needs to be let go.
