I am giving the McDonald's in Marana, AZ a three-star rating because even after using the automated food ordering machine to place a simple food order for ONE PERSON, the staff still got my order wrong! Pressed for time and trying to reach my destination on time, I let the mistake go. As for the establishment, it is clean, and the staff is pretty polite too. The restrooms were pretty maintained and clean too, and this is despite this particular McDonald's having a high volume of customers during the lunch hour too. The seating area was packed, but staff was pretty attentive in making sure that as customers exited that they would ensure that the tables and floors were kept clean. Again, If it wasn't for the wrong order, I would of given it maybe perhaps a four-star rating because it is one of the cleanest and best looking McDonald's that I've been to, but que sera, sera. The funny thing for me is that this is NOT the only McDonald's that this has happened to me at. It's happened at various McDonald's; from SO CAL, AZ, GA, and other U.S. places. Interestingly enough, it never happened on the McDonald's places in Germany or other foreign countries that I've visited a McDonald's at; shoot, they even charge you for the ketchup there! Even in Mexico, all of the McDonald's that I've been to out there, they never got my order wrong. So why does it happen quite a bit here in the good old USA?!? No wonder machines are replacing people in the McDonald's here in America! Just saying. read more

If I could give it Zero stars I would! I stopped at this location to get my granddaughter a happy meal. Apparently I was handed the wrong order and an employee started yelling at another employee to get the order back from me. As I was waiting for my wife to hand me the order from the back seat, the employee began to get upset and raised her voice at me. I raised my voice telling her not to yell at me and that I wanted her name. She did not want to provide me her name and when I asked for the manager she insisted she was the manager, she obviously wasn't. Another employee provided me the name of the individual, Carly, and informed me that Carly was not the manager. I parked the car, went inside to get my money refunded and to get the number of the owner of the location. I do not want to give my business to an establishment with employees who treat their customers and coworkers with disrespect. We just got off the phone with the manager at this location who identified himself as Michael. Funny thing... We called to request a refund for the raw burger meat in my 1/4 Pounder, Michael said he would give us a replacement meal, we said no, just a refund, Michael then acted like he couldn't or wouldn't refund the meal, Michael saying that all the meat is "tested" before it goes out. Here's the picture I promised you Michael of your "tested" and "approved" raw meat. I'll be contacting your corporate office regarding this matter and your malfunctioning "raw meat tester". read more

I don't typically give out 5 stars to a fast food joint, especially McDonald's, but this location absolutely deserves it. First of all, this place is absolutely packed every day at lunch, between the locals, the construction workers, the interstate traffic, and the Army National Guard base it's a zoo. They've got 2 lanes at the drive thru (have only been here, not inside) and they keep it moving!! Finally, the workers here are absolutely amazing...not sure what is happening but they are all ridiculously friendly, professional, and look good (they're all wearing button-downs and ties). I've not experience friendly, courteous, and efficient service like this anywhere else! Great job here! read more

I have never seen a skimpier breakfast burrito than I have today. They must have a cook back there that's trying to save money on already inexpensive eggs. The ratio of tortilla to eggs was unreasonable. Very few golden morsels inside the tortilla. All I tasted was tortilla. I could hardly taste eggs or sausage. Very disappointing. A bright spot in this visit was that it's a pretty nice McDonald's. Nice staff. Other than the food, it was great. UPDATE: Nobody reached out to me, after my review was submitted several weeks ago, with either an apology or a promise to get it right next time. Glad to see them in the area! They seem to be adjusting well in the area. There were some rough bumps with order mess ups in the drive thru but I will say the last few months they have stepped up there attention to detail. The staff there are very positive and I have to say as a former Mc Donald's Employee 1996-1999 in Olean, New York its nice to see this. The management seems to have there act together and have to give the staff their their kudo's. One thing, I don't like but I know with time Technology starts to take over! Those Kiosks: Not a Fan, But will say this... The management is involving there personnel to help with promoting these. The major thing I have to say... to corporate don't cut peoples jobs in the future because a machine can do it cheaper. McDonalds has always been about SMILING FACES! I went to this particular McDonalds on Christmas Day after a trip to Saguaro National Park, and our party of 5 was famished after hiking several trails. As we had a flight to catch later that evening in Phoenix, we decided to eat here. We ordered 2 large fries and 5 crispy spicy chicken sandwiches to go. However, what was in the bag turned out to be 5 spicy McChickens and the fries instead of the larger crispy spicy chicken sandwiches. We didn't even notice, or cared, as we were so hungry we couldn't tell the difference. What really made this a 5 star experience though, was the manager who followed us back to our car to hand us a corrected order for free just 30 seconds after walking out of the restaurant. This covered our dinner for the airport as well, as most of the restaurants there were closed for Christmas. Overall, this McDonald's truly made our day and was in a way, a Christmas Miracle. Hands down the best McDonalds I've been to anywhere! The staff is so friendly and they're fast and efficient (which is important when you have horses in a trailer parked outside in the dirt lot). I appreciate that they sponsor local events like CCOBRA and even though I don't live in Marana, I pass other McDonalds to get to this one whenever I'm in town. Definitely recommend! read more

This McDonald's used to be good at all hours but the current night staff are legitimately terrible. If you go around 11-1130 pm at night your food is just going to be trash. Cold old fries that taste like garbage. I'm sorry, but if I pay 24 dollars for two sandwiches, two fries, and two cokes medium, the least they could do is make fresh fries. The last 6 visits have all been the same, utter disappointment. It's a shame because this location used to be good and had people that cared. My husband and I drive to Marana health center, once every two months. My appointments are usually pretty late and close to dinnertime when we get out of the clinic. We stop at this MCDonalds and order the quarter pounder Deluxe with bacon and cheese added(did I say we hadn't eaten all day) they usually have us park around the corner, but all so worth the couple minutes wait. Horrible customer service. We were waiting for our food at the drive thru window for about 5 mins and then the guy opens the window and asked for our receipt because they erased the order. He told us to pull up font and we waited another 5 mins and he brought the wrong order... Another 5 mins went by n he finally brought the right order and no apologies! I know everyone makes mistakes but usually they will comp a extra burger or fries for our troubles but nothing. It seems like this location could care less about their customers. We usually don't come to McDonald's but we were traveling and it was convenient. Just another reason to stay away from McDonald's. read more

I'm writing this review only after first having tried to call this Mcdonalds to voice my complaint without an answer. Let me be clear, this Mcdonals has had terrible service since it opened, but tonight's experience was the final straw. I live in Marana and while there are few choices of restaurants, I'll no longer be selecting this one. This evening's issue is a simple one. Untrained staff! I ordered my food in the drive thru and pulled around to the window to pay. After handing the young lady my card she re-opened the glass window, Mcdonald's employees hide behind, and alerted me that my card was not reading (keep in mind, a card error is different than charge declined). I asked her to wrap the card in a receipt or bag and try again. Another two minutes passed and she came back to me upset saying it wont read and there isn't anything she can do. Now, anyone who's worked with a credit and debit card machine is aware that you can enter the number right off the card into the device and it will accept the payment. I mentioned this option to the employee and was appalled when she told me she didn't know how to do that and that Mcdonalds only allows their employees to enter the numbers off of cards if they are credit cards. At this point cars were building up behind me and I could tell she was feeling anxious. I asked her one last time to try the card, but this time to charge it as credit and to enter the numbers like she can for other credit cards. She told me she can't do that as the card says debit on it and handed it back. In a last attempt at salvaging this experience I handed her my credit card and asked her just to run that. Believe it or not, she closed the window, swiped the card, then came back to tell me that card had a read error as well. In the end, I asked her to cancel my order and told her I would go elsewhere (Sorry McDonalds, but you should have trained your rep). Five minutes later I swiped my card at Circle K and to my astonishment, It worked fine. Tonight I'll be eating a jerky stick rather than a meal. Thanks McDonalds! read more

I bought breakfast sandwiches, orange and a coffee in the morning. When I pulled up to the window they handed me my food and asked me to pull around. There was no one behind me and I asked if I could stay. She told me they had to change the orange juice and it would be faster. It never is. They ask to pull around on the silliest things. It takes extra long for the customer. It would be faster for them to do their job then to have a long conversation about pulling around. This is not the first time this has happened. Many times they forget stuff and have to make several trips in. They never have a good attitude about it. They also handed my food to someone else, took it back and tried to hand it to me. This fast food is turning into expensive slow food. It would be nice if they could get it together in the drive though. read more

We always enjoy coming to this McDonald's, whether it's curbside pickup or dine-in, but today's customer service was so excellent I had to post about it. We hadn't been having the best day, but as soon as I walked in with my 6 kids, we were greeted warmly by Janine (I'm so sorry if I've misspelled your name!). I was happy to use an ordering kiosk and Janine even found a table for my kids while I started my order. Then, she helped me with my order and afterwards, got our drinks for us and made sure we had everything we needed. We very much enjoyed our lunch here and when we left, Janine said goodbye to us. 8/16/18 10:28 am Management here is a major issue. I work for one of the schools near by. A couple ladies ordered using the mobile app and asked me to pick up there order. I pulled up a couple minutes early and there was a line in the drive thru so I proceeded through into the drive thru, I figured by the time I got to the window it would be 10:30. The Manager approached the window and said I couldn't get my order because it was only 10:29 and I would have to get down and come in to place the order. I said it will be 10:30 in a few seconds. He said I dont know what to say but you'll have to come in to place the order. Believe me if the order was mine I would have drove away and went elsewhere. I pulled around a went inside and by this time th he was 4 people in line in front of me. I asked to speak to the Manager and when it was my turn i placed my order. At this time the Manager came around from the back and saw me standing he turned his back and began talking in Spanish to another employee. A few minutes went and my order was ready and he turned looked at me and went back from where he came from. I sure we can all agree that McDonald's in not the healthy choice but when you live in a small town with limited options sometimes it's the only choice when you have to get back to work in such short time frame. McDonald's, you need to do better for you community and the people that come to work here in this town. I have had so many bad experiences with this place but I alway give you a second chance. Wanted to take a few minutes to let everyone know how awesome this location is. I don't understand why people expect so much from a fast food restaurant, I get it you're spending your hard earned money. Ultimately you get what you pay for(a few bucks). Furthermore, I've been working out on Tucson for a couple weeks now. I have to drive out here a few times a week from the valley. This is my second time now visiting this location, and let me just say I sometimes forget I'm in a McDonald's. All of the employees need a raise and/or promotion. From the manager greeting everyone in the lobby to the super sweet cashiers. I'm a firm believer in holding yourself to a high standard no matter what job you're doing or what your job title is, and all of the employees here obviously show that. Absolutely amazing! I've worked at mcdonalds at a different location about a year ago for 2 years and for this mcdonalds being right off the highway, expect to wait for your food people. The amount of times I've been hit with the "we'll have 20 cheeseburgers" or someone orders 5 happy meals and shakes and mccafes and then customers changing their orders at the window happens all of the time. Believe it or not, but stuff takes time. Instead of getting mad at workers, get mad at the idiot 2 cars ahead of you who ordered the whole menu. The amount of times I've been yelled at by customers and told off is ridiculous. If you are the customer who gets upset because you wait 5 minutes for your food, you've obviously never worked in food service. So sit down and PLEASE be POLITE because the workers inside are MORE STRESSED than you because they know they are going to be verbally assaulted by you when they hand you your food. And to the gentleman who posted about how his card wouldn't read: I've had this happen MULTIPLE times where I worked. First of all, the mcdonalds computer/register system does NOT let you type in the credit/ debit information. It is not the workers fault your card will not take. I've worked for McDonalds for about 2 years and have had this happen so many times but there is absolutely nothing the worker can do about it. Many times the paper over the card does usually work, but if it doesn't then you need to go to your bank and ask about a new card. Half the cards that would never take were scratched and might as well have been eaten by a dog. I have never had a problem with the service at this location and I sympathize with everyone who works in this horrible corporation because it sucks. I pray you all will make it out. read more

This McDonald's ice cream machine is ALWAYS down! Im always on the go so drive through it is for me.. today was probably the eight time I try ordering ice cream products in the drive and they say the machine is down. I don't know if they are cleaning it and just don't want to dirty it up again for customers or what, but c'mon! A popular item in your menu and you can't sell it 7/10 times someone wants it? Also, it's only courtesy to make your customers aware your machine is down with some sort of signage so they are not stuck in the drive through line for 15 mins while other customers order, pay and get their order while you are just there for your health of sitting in a car. This week alone, I've been here three times and the machine is up and down, up and down, up and down. They get two stars because honestly, everyone there is nice and courteous, but I'm there for the menu items so, sorry not sorry. read more
