    Buffalo Ranch Fries
    Emily M.

Stopped in here on a whim for a mid-afternoon snack - was in the area and remembered seeing something about speciality fries on their menu which sounded like something good to hold us over until dinner. And boy was it...both the buffalo ranch fries and poutine fries were perfection. Crispy and flavorful with a perfect amount of sauce. Absolutely delicious. We also shared the banana pudding which was delightful- not too sweet and light. I cannot wait to come back to try a burger but I may just have to come back for a mid afternoon snack again!!

The burgers cracked beer and service is absolutely divine! I really enjoyed my burger. We also got the Parmesan french fries. It was absolutely amazing. So many fantastic beer and cider options. The staff is really nice and helpful. I enjoyed my food. It's grabbing go style. Lots of seating a great local spot with high-quality burgers and ingredients.

This place is delicious. The food came out pretty quickly and still hot. The cashier was open to any questions my husband or I had. Also while eating many people came to check in on us to make sure everything is well. Definitely a new place to recommend

My friends and I had heard so many phenomenal things about this place, and it definitely lived up to the hype! From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted, and the service was exceptional. It was a little pricey, but getting a free milkshake just for following them wasn't a bad deal at all. I ordered the infamous tater tots, and they were easily the highlight of the meal. They were incredibly crispy and savory, so definitely a must order! I also got the bacon burger, which was very good. Nothing about it disappointed me, and it was cooked really well, it was solid. The milkshake was also awesome. I got the Monkey Peanut Butter shake, and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by and checking this place out!

This place has become my favorite burger joint. The burgers are grass fed and they use beef tallow for their frying so that's a way healthier alternative to typical seed oils. The service is perfect as you're greeted at the door and if it's your first time they explain the menu to you. They keep everything clean and clear your table for you. I used to get double patty burgers but I personally could never finish them, even a single is a thick juicy patty... okay any questions? lol the fries are so good especially the garlic parm fries. They serve beer and frozen margaritas. The milkshakes I must say are the only thing that could be better as they are super sweet and over powered by chocolate syrup but I finally asked for one with half the amount of syrup and it was way better, I can taste the ice cream. It gets packed at times with small rushes but they are fast and they get things moving. Definitely two Foxxy thumbs up, a mist with a twist!!

There were four of us in the party. All of us ordered medium done burgers, but received four differently cooked burgers, ranging from no pink (well done) to almost red (rare). I personally ordered a cheeseburger and we all shared a bowl of fries. Aside from the inconsistency, the burgers were pretty good, but didn't quite live up to the buzz we'd heard. One member in our group thought they weren't juicy as she'd expected them to be. I didn't think that beef tallow added anything to the fries and in fact found them to have a bit of an odd flavor. The others in the group liked them better than I did though. The service was exceptional, knowledgeable and pleasant. Inside was not overly loud, though lots of people were there. I would give this another try for sure.

Wow!!! Everything we had was phenomenal. You place your order when you walk in. We ordered a mushroom burger to split along with duck poutine fries. Our friends ordered tots, bacon burger and a chicken burger. They also mooooed for a free milkshake which you get if you have an entree and a side. Overall the food was excellent. The standout was the freshly made tots. All the portions were huge and shareable. Other than having to wait and remind about the shakes, the service was great. The restaurant is nice and open so you don't feel like you are sitting on top of anyone else or feel like you can't have a conversation. It's a 30 minute drive but worth it.

Free shake with burger and side during summertime (7/2026)
    Mike S.

There are really just two types of burgers - large/thick patties and thin/crispy smash. With patties that look to tip the scales at 1/3 lb this place squarely falls into the first category. We had a hankering for Sunday afternoon beef and I realized I hadn't been here in a while, shame on me! The menu (all 5 boards) is overwhelming at first, but pause mid-floor and just allow yourself to scan, left-to-right, it will all sink in. Note that there's a summertime (2026) special going on where a burger and side nets you a free milkshake! We ordered 2 burgers and 2 sides but "donated" the second shake (at dealer's discretion) to the next big family that wanders in. She got the bacon cheese burger, minus divine sauce, cooked medium-rare ($16) and I got the guac green chili burger, minus mayo, cooked medium-well ($16). Their burgers or sooo juicy that they (and my midline) just don't need the sauces! Each was properly cooked with the medium-well having just a bit of pink in the center and both were loaded with their assigned condiments. Our two sides consisted of small tallow fries ($3.79) and the deep-fried Brussels ($10) both very reasonably priced. Folks, those sprouts are probably the best I've had - the deep-frying leaves them unusually "light/airy" and with the best possible char. They are then quickly tossed (not smothered) in a maple/bacon syrup before plating. The establishment was 2/3 full at 3pm and all staff were notably warm and good-natured. Bathrooms are clean and parking is free in the shared strip mall lot. There's a self-help fountain drink dispenser that includes plain water and seltzer!

Five stars all the way! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Parking was surprisingly decent, which is always a plus, and there's plenty of seating for any group size--whether you're dining solo or coming in with a larger party. The food is where this place really shines. There are tons of topping options to customize your burger, and the triple-fried fries are next level--perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I ordered the Blue Dream burger, and it absolutely lived up to the name. The balsamic onions, blue cheese crumbles, and balsamic honey mayo came together beautifully and made every bite amazing. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They also offer soda and beer, which rounds things out nicely. Fair warning though--you might leave in a full-on food coma like I did. Totally worth it and already looking forward to my next visit!

Divine Bovine has earned five stars from me for years, but today's visit is only four stars. First, the good. Service is amazing. Nobody does it better. The employees are young, energetic, and friendly. They open the door for customers, give a warm greeting, ask if you're waiting for someone (I was) and brought a big glass of ice water where I was sitting.. My friend arrived momentarily and we went to the counter to order. She ordered a basic cheeseburger and tots. I tried the Pattie's Meltdown and tots. DB tots are house made and not to be skipped! We tried two different horseradishy dipping sauces and both were excellent. Now for the not-so-good. It was really hot in there; felt like a furnace was blowing on us. I was wearing a summer dress with a cardigan, took the cardigan off, and was still roasting. The other negative is that my sandwich was so wet that the Texas Toast was soggy and fell apart. I left most of the toast on the plate. What I ate was tasty but a mess. Next time will be a five again I hope.

Guac you know about Green Chili?

We love a burger done well and Divine Bovine knocks it out of the park! Dang! High quality ingredients, perfectly prepared beef and endless burger possibilities! And the burgers are massive and messy- yum! I'm not a huge fan of counter ordering spots, but that being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They clear the tables, and bring all you need so it's more of a hybrid dining experience. We'll definitely be making DB a stop on our Tucson visits!

Ask the Community - Divine Bovine Burgers

    Is the beef organic?

    It's delicious. What else matters?

How big are the burger patties, specifically? 4 oz, 6 oz, 8 oz? What does "triple fried" fries mean, and why? I mean, if fries are cooked, why cook them again? Doesnt this just make them greasy? Help me understand.

The burgers are large. They are 7oz Patties! Our triple fried fries are crispy sticks of potato goodness. They are fried in high quality peanut oil at low temperature…

This listing says 'vegan options' -- what are they? If it's just fries and a bowl of pickles that's not really worthy of claiming 'vegan options'

They have the Impossible Burger 2.0 - all veggie but tastes like beef!

We went on a Monday for Happy Hour and even though it was a Monday, we were surprised there weren't more people. The atmosphere is nice and clean. We were seated at a booth quickly and our waitress was outstanding, except for the fact we had a coupon for a free app and she supposedly punched it in but we later realized, after paying and on our way home, that we were charged for everything. We had some delicious, refreshing hard cider. We both drank pineapple cider and I then ordered the blueberry. The pineapple was definitely better but both were tasty and a nice change from apple. We ordered the poke nachos, sliders and a truffle pizza. The poke nachos were very good but needed to be sauced a bit more. The ones we ate in Vernon Hills were definitely better. The sliders and fries were delicious. The pizza was meh, so I probably wouldn't order that again. We will definitely return, at least for Happy Hour, because I want to try more apps and use our coupon, hopefully successfully thus time.

We asked if the patio was available and we were quickly seated outside. After being seated we proceeded to wait, wait, wait; in the heat without any service. It's warm and it would have been nice if they would have brought us water at least, if they were that busy they shouldn't have seated anyone outside. We finally got tired of sitting in the heat without anyone coming out. It started to sprinkle and our patience ran out. We left our menus and our silverware on the table and went inside the mall to cool off and get something to drink. When we came back out to leave they were packed outside with people--food--and drinks! So, they forgot about us. Can't comment on the food, but the service was horrible to say the least. They obviously don't pay attention to their customers. We will not be going back.

We came here because we wanted to play pool one night and Pockets had a tournament going on. We were originally 3 out of the 5 people in the bar (one bartender and one other dude who may or may not have worked there- but kept going into the back room). It was SO quiet which I found oddly unsettling lol. The only way there would be any sound other than our voices was to pay money to play music ourselves and I dropped way too much money to keep it going while we were there. Next, the bartender was odd to us...In some weirdly pretentious way. To be fair, we all do look young and people tend to treat us as such when we go out. However, he was so condescending about everything. I asked for a drink and he corrected me on how to order it-but not in a helpful way? More like he was annoyed with me. I turned 21 almost 15 years ago. I order the same drinks and have never been told that a bartender doesn't understand what I'm asking for- even if I don't use the proper bartending terminology. My roommate asked for a vodka redbull and the bartender made some weird comment about this not being one of our "hipster bars" like ??? I drink vodka red bulls in literal biker bars. We prefer smaller, low-key bars. It was such a strange and judgmental thing to say. He basically talked to US as if we thought we were too good for that place? Idk it's really hard to explain. But it left a horrible taste in our mouths. A couple came in a while before we left and seemed to be friends of the bartender- which somehow made the vibe even more uncomfortable. It's as if they all wanted us to leave. It's so weird to make your literal ONLY paying patrons feel so awkward and unwelcome. Dude needs a serious attitude adjustment. The a-hole bartender theme is out dated. That's just bad business. It's one thing to be busy and short with people when you're serving a full bar; that's usually expected, but you don't have to be a jerk to the only three people in the place lol.
