When in Tucson we usually visit the Thunder Bacon Burger Company. We sadly found they closed Looking for a replacement I happened upon Divine Bovine. I had a cheeseburger and my husband had the Funny Farmhand both were very tasty and the fries were crispy and salted just right. The server delivering the food was so sweet and personable. My burger was undercooked and she took it back in a flash and had it remade. She even gave me a milkshake for the mishap. Great service and good food, we will be back. We've been wanting to try Divine Bovine for a while and finally got around to it. It's an open, airy, clean place with a charming atmosphere. Lots of choices on the menu, so it was hard to pick. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I chose the I'll Be Your Huckleberry and ordered tripled-fried fries fried in beef tallow to share. My husband and son ordered some other burgers but to be honest, I was hungry and so invested in my burger, I don't know what they ordered, lol. I just know their burgers looked great and so did mine. Stopped in here on a whim for a mid-afternoon snack - was in the area and remembered seeing something about speciality fries on their menu which sounded like something good to hold us over until dinner. This place has become my favorite burger joint. The burgers are grass fed and they use beef tallow for their frying so that's a way healthier alternative to typical seed oils. The service is perfect as you're greeted at the door and if it's your first time they explain the menu to you. They keep everything clean and clear your table for you. I used to get double patty burgers but I personally could never finish them, even a single is a thick juicy patty... okay any questions? lol the fries are so good especially the garlic parm fries. They serve beer and frozen margaritas. The milkshakes I must say are the only thing that could be better as they are super sweet and over powered by chocolate syrup but I finally asked for one with half the amount of syrup and it was way better, I can taste the ice cream. One member in our group thought they weren't juicy as she'd expected them to be. I didn't think that beef tallow added anything to the fries and in fact found them to have a bit of an odd flavor. My first taste of their offerings was an take out order provided by my wife. She brought back a Divine signature burger, a side of the parmesan fries, and some chocolatey shake. I was absolutely gobsmacked at the portion sizes as I was not expecting them to be ample. I didn't even ask what it all cost as I imagine it was a lot in this economy. So, the food: it's very rich. I couldn't finish any of it. The signature burger had added green chili which had an underwhelming presence in the mix. The sherry onions are a bit much. I think if I order here again I would go for something rather plain as the burger and bun are substantial and good quality. I would skip those fries and shake in the future. It was ok for a first experience, but not great. I know what to expect if I return and will try something not over the top indulgent. read more

Wow!!! Everything we had was phenomenal. You place your order when you walk in. We ordered a mushroom burger to split along with duck poutine fries. Our friends ordered tots, bacon burger and a chicken burger. They also mooooed for a free milkshake which you get if you have an entree and a side. Overall the food was excellent. The standout was the freshly made tots. All the portions were huge and shareable. Other than having to wait and remind about the shakes, the service was great. There are really just two types of burgers - large/thick patties and thin/crispy smash. With patties that look to tip the scales at 1/3 lb this place squarely falls into the first category. We had a hankering for Sunday afternoon beef and I realized I hadn't been here in a while, shame on me! The menu (all 5 boards) is overwhelming at first, but pause mid-floor and just allow yourself to scan, left-to-right, it will all sink in. Note that there's a summertime (2026) special going on where a burger and side nets you a free milkshake! We ordered 2 burgers and 2 sides but "donated" the second shake (at dealer's discretion) to the next big family that wanders in. She got the bacon cheese burger, minus divine sauce, cooked medium-rare ($16) and I got the guac green chili burger, minus mayo, cooked medium-well ($16). Their burgers or sooo juicy that they (and my midline) just don't need the sauces! Each was properly cooked with the medium-well having just a bit of pink in the center and both were loaded with their assigned condiments. Our two sides consisted of small tallow fries ($3.79) and the deep-fried Brussels ($10) both very reasonably priced. Folks, those sprouts are probably the best I've had - the deep-frying leaves them unusually "light/airy" and with the best possible char. They are then quickly tossed (not smothered) in a maple/bacon syrup before plating. The establishment was 2/3 full at 3pm and all staff were notably warm and good-natured. Parking was surprisingly decent, which is always a plus, and there's plenty of seating for any group size--whether you're dining solo or coming in with a larger party. The food is where this place really shines. There are tons of topping options to customize your burger, and the triple-fried fries are next level--perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I ordered the Blue Dream burger, and it absolutely lived up to the name. The balsamic onions, blue cheese crumbles, and balsamic honey mayo came together beautifully and made every bite amazing. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They also offer soda and beer, which rounds things out nicely. Fair warning though--you might leave in a full-on food coma like I did. Divine Bovine has earned five stars from me for years, but today's visit is only four stars. First, the good. Service is amazing. Nobody does it better. The employees are young, energetic, and friendly. They open the door for customers, give a warm greeting, ask if you're waiting for someone (I was) and brought a big glass of ice water where I was sitting.. My friend arrived momentarily and we went to the counter to order. She ordered a basic cheeseburger and tots. I tried the Pattie's Meltdown and tots. DB tots are house made and not to be skipped! We tried two different horseradishy dipping sauces and both were excellent. Now for the not-so-good. It was really hot in there; felt like a furnace was blowing on us. I was wearing a summer dress with a cardigan, took the cardigan off, and was still roasting. The other negative is that my sandwich was so wet that the Texas Toast was soggy and fell apart. I left most of the toast on the plate. What I ate was tasty but a mess. Next time will be a five again I hope. read more

We had a standard burger and a cheeseburger. The fancy burgers were just a tad too unmanageable for us old folks. We shared a large order of fries and they were outstanding. What a little surprise! We felt like grabbing a burger and we were in the neighborhood so decided to stop and try Divine Bovine Burgers and it was great. When we walked in the guy at the register greeted us and was super friendly and helpful. I took his recommendation and tried their signature burger with some house made tater tots. Everything tasted great and came out as soon as it ready. I would have tried their desserts however I was stuffed! Popped in here one evening after work. I've been hearing about this place for a while and finally decided to try it. I had the Divine Bovine Burger and the desert burger. Both burgers were good. Patties cooked to perfection and thick. We also Got the Sweet potato fries.. and those were underwhelming and Overcooked/burnt, not that good. The Sauce that came with the fries wasn't bad. Dropped in on a whim for lunch today for my first time here. It was busy lunch time and most of the tables in the airy well lit dining room were already taken. I wandered up to the order counter where I was a little overwhelmed by the huge amount of items and various possibilities on the menu. The order taker noticed the look in my eyes and asked if this was the first time I had ever been there. I said yes. He explained to me what was going on with the menu and I looked over the various standard combos and didn't see anything that fit exactly what I wanted and then I saw that on the other side of the menu, you could build your own hamburger from meat, cheeses, sides, toppings, and that's where I concentrated. I noticed that they offered a lettuce wrap and that's what I really wanted so I got the lettuce wrapped burger with tomato and red onion and mayo and ketchup and mustard and pickles and boy was I happy. It was delicious. I also got a side of small fries and after paying they gave me the little number thing to take to a table. After a few minutes, the server brought me my french fries with a real tomato squeeze bottle and real salt and pepper shakers not those crummy little paper things that you have to tear up 100 of them to get enough salt or pepper out to put on your french fries so that was really neat and then a few minutes later he brought out the biggest lettuce wrap burger that I've ever had at a restaurant like this and let me tell you it was delicious. You could really taste the flavor of the meat through everything that I asked for on it. And I really appreciated that Overall, the food was good. The french fries were just right. The order taker at the counter was super helpful and friendly at helping me navigate all the items and deciding on what to get and the server brought the food to me was on a real plate. They brought me a real knige snd fork and real napkins and they told me when I was done just leave it and they will come and clean it all up. This spot had been super hyped up by a foodie friend so we were excited to try. The burger selection was massive- maybe a little overwhelming. I like a little bells and whistles but the whole kitchen sink made the menu a little chaotic. In the end the burger was okay- very greasy, but flavorful. I dont want my bacon to be the spotlight of my burger though. We ordered tots, lemon parm fries, and sweet potato fries to get a good sample. The tots need to sit but once they cool and harden a bit they are tasty! The parm fries are delicious. But the sweet potato fries were sad and both soggy and burnt. The milkshake was okay.
