Traveling from out of town . Got a burger with a big piece of glass /plastic and called just to let them know and they did not seem to care said oh come get a new one . And not in a caring friendly way . Didn't even offer for us to speak to a manager

Do better mc Donald's! Prices are higher and portions are way smaller! ‍

I have been shopping at this Modesto, California McDonald's Restaurant since I'd say, the year 2011 or so and I've always been pleased with how my drive-thru and in-store purchases have been handled/managed. I have not had to return to this McDonald's to complain or request a do-over on any items I have purchased here. Mainly me and my then, best-best-friend Al, took turns "food-running" to this McHenry Avenue location, for breakfast, lunch & dinners while we lived in Modesto, & worked at the VA (Veteran's Affairs Dept., CBOC, Community Based Outpatient Clinic) where shopping is pretty simple as the layout of the city is doable & pretty simple to navigate over-all... Today, we dined on a "SALE" item we simply refused to not take advantage of; in a positive manner of course.... Today's "deal of the Day" was A FREE DOULBLE-CHEESEBURGER if you spent $1!!! What a find, and was located on our iPhone & Android cellular phones is the McDonald's Restaurant downloadable Application or APP. The APP. is FREE; No-Cost and worth the savings and "special's" they run every-single-day........... The burgers were really tasty, & delicious & were "neat & clean" to consume. Not falling apart with the condiments slathered all over the wrapper etc. I was satisfied and felt I could have eaten at least one more but I allowed about 20 minutes to pass and let my stomach get used to the burger it did just ingest........................................ One area of surprise is that they do not have the "BEVERAGE-HELP-YOURSELF" HUGE Machine out in the Lobby area. The inside of the restaurant appears to me, to have had a renovation & looks like Brand~New & Improved.... It looks so professional, is welcoming, clean, clean, clean & unbelievably FAST was the tableside deliveries of not only our two orders but all the other diners. I've never seen a McDonald's Restaurant so WELL ORGANIZED: STAFF including and in particular. Very pleasant too. We asked for refills on our soda as we've gotten so used to the "Complimentary-Help-Yourself" SODA & SODA-LIKE Machine located in the front Lobby, that it felt odd to have to ask for the "Complimentary Refill" at the front Customer-Service Counter. Great news is that the Diet Coke x2; we ordered, me and my beloved Mother, was bubbly, with amazing CARBONATION & TASTED LIKE DIET COLA. One area in the past that more than not; McDonald's Restaurants are at fault with is the QUALITY AND FRESHNESS AND FLAVORING Of the Behind-The-Counter Service TASTES LIKE WHEN SOMEONE WORKING AT A BAR, EMPTIES THE TRAY THAT HOUSES ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL THE BEVERAGES POURED, INTO ONE GLASS, AND THROWS A STRAW INTO IT, AND SERVES IT TO YOU. IT'S LIKE DRINKING ACIDIC VOMIT; AND IS UNACCEPTABLE. That's one reason, that she and I enjoyed the front Lobby help-yourself-soda machine is that it typically has much more carbonation than the machines behind the front customer service counter.... These sodas HERE @ this 2118 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, California 95350 (Phone number) (209) 529-9984 location was GREAT, FRESH & AWESOME ALL THE WAY AROUND and the woman employee behind the counter was non-stop ambulating as she delivered tableside service to those who had already ordered their items.... It was a really enjoyable dining experience & the tableside service WAS A HIT from today's viewing and that makes me want to support this location & tell others about them..... Enjoy! :) Sincerely, ~Jana Leigh Thomas Sr. Yelper! :)

not to mention, my food was hot & delicious

I just left the drive thru about 10 minutes ago. 10:30am. The sweet woman that handed me my food at the second window had no issue giving me Mexican salsa & ketchup. She also kindly remade my iced coffee without a hassle, and even waited for me to try to make sure it was good! normally when I come to McDonald's they always rush me or get upset with me asking for sauce. I was kind of having a bad day, but she turned it around. I hope this lady gets recognition for how sweet she was, I wish I got her name, but she had glasses on and I think a light pink or red lipstick & a small accent. Thank you so much to this pretty woman !!! I wish I gave a tip but she left right after I tried my coffee.

The food was just your typical diner type, greasy spoon kind of place. I got an egg white omelette with ham (looked like cut up pieces of thin sliced deli meat) and asked that fresh potatoes be boiled in water or steamed in water due to food allergy. What I got was fried potatoes. When I questioned the server he just said that's how they come. Do they not have raw potatoes in the back they could have boiled for me?? The taste of the omelette was meh and I only ate 4 bites. I obviously didn't eat the potatoes. The English Muffin felt oily, like someone touched it with greasy hands. I had asked for it to be dry and with no butter. So basically I didn't eat any of my food and will not be back (this was my third time here and none of the other experiences were any better.) Such a shame because it is only 5-minutes from my house. My dad ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom got the taco salad and both of their meals were inedible too. The food here is just BAD. I told the server I didn't like my food and he didn't even answer me. He took away three plates of uneaten food and no one asked if there was an issue and no manager bothered to come over to even talk to us or try and make it right. What a HUGE waste of money. Don't bother eating here...so many other places to eat that are so much better. This place was packed and no real waiting area...everyone just squished together. This is a hustling and bustling place, so if you are looking for a quiet spot, at least don't go when we did. Best part of this place is their wall for taking pictures. I think they care more about making things look IG worthy, than the quality of the product they are serving.

If you're planning a Saturday or Sunday visit you definitely want to make a reservation! Based off my first visit I would have give this place 4 stars. The drinks are delicious, the food is incredible with good portions, and everything of course looks great visually as well. The main con the first visit was that service was extremely slow and there was a drink ordered that was completely forgotten about, however they were clearly short staffed and when we did have service she was very apologetic and friendly and comped the beverage so we had no complaints. We went back this month for my birthday and while everything we did have was once again delicious, they were out of a decent portion of the menu. Off the top of my head they were out of all flavors of deviled eggs, pulled pork, tuna for the poke stack and poke bowl, risotto balls, some wines, and a couple other things I don't recall. The first couple times the waitress said something we wanted was out we didn't mind and pivoted, especially since she said those were the only items they were out of. However, it quickly became evident that was not the case. She said the reason was it was Sunday and they are only open Thursday-Sunday so they often run out of stock during the Sunday rush. Like I said earlier, the last time I was there on a Sunday there was no issue with items being unavailable, and I feel like if this is a recurring issue maybe that's something that should be looked at when ordering for the week? But I also am not in the restaurant business so who knows maybe this isn't that unusual. It was just a bummer to go for my birthday excited to try certain things, only to ultimately end up with a chicken Caesar salad (which was still good though!). There were still pros with this recent visit, again everything looked and tasted great and the service was friendly and much quicker than the previous visit. The mimosa flights are fun and there's a ton of flavors to choose from. We got a seasonal peach toast appetizer to share and it was so good. I look forward to coming back soon to give it another shot and will update once I do!

My friend from Modesto told me about this spot, and I immediately wanted to try it. I actually planned my drive around this pit stop, which was just a short detour off the 99. I ordered a biscuit with fried eggs and dear Lord, that biscuit was amazing, and so was the jam! The fried eggs were cooked perfectly and especially delicious with the hot sauces they had to offer. My brother got an egg sandwich on a brioche bun and he still can't stop talking about how good it was. He was particularly impressed with the brioche bun. We also got the blueberry french toast to go, which I didn't anticipate traveling very well, but it did and holy shit, it was fan-freaking-tastic when I ate it that evening. I can't even fathom how incredible it must be if eaten fresh. This place was so cute inside and clearly had an intentional aesthetic direction. There was a cute outdoor seating area in the front where I could have my dog with me, which is a huge plus. The service was top-notch and the food was ready lickety-split. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. I HIGHLY recommend this spot!!!

The bagels themselves were actually good very fresh, and you could tell the bread was nice, fluffy, and soft even after being toasted. That part was definitely the highlight. However, the coffee bar area where the fountain drinks are located was extremely dusty. It looked like nothing had been moved or cleaned under or around it in a long time. The soda fountain machine itself also appeared like it hadn't been cleaned recently. While ordering, I could also see the cutting board behind the counter and it's no longer white, it's basically gray from buildup. That definitely needs a deep clean. Service was also disappointing. When we walked in, we greeted the staff but some had AirPods in and didn't acknowledge us. The main cashier saw us standing there but didn't respond right away. We ordered breakfast bagels and waited about five minutes, which was actually pretty quick. When we finished and were leaving, we said "thank you, have a good day," and no one responded. That was honestly a little sad because this place really has potential. Overall: 2 stars. The bagel was decent, but with the cleanliness issues and lack of customer service, I probably won't be back.
