This is absolutely the worst Macdonald's I've ever been to. The drive though is a complete mess with orders. I ordered a Big Mac with extra lettuce light sauce and they gave be a burger that was petrified onions and what appeared to be diced bacon! Never again! Should have paid attention to the reviews. I've eaten Ronald's fare since I was a boy, so yesterday l was hit with the urge for a couple of Cheeseburgers, Fries, and a Pop. I stopped in at this establishment on Warwick Blvd in Newport News, went in and ordered, l wish that l had went elsewhere. The Cheeseburgers were lukewarm, the Fries were Lukewarm, the Pop was lukewarm, and the ice dispenser was clogged up so that l couldn't get ice to cool the lukewarm soda, l told the cashier about the ice dispenser, he added ice to no avail, it still didn't work. l wish l would have went to BK or Wendy's, Mickey Dee's has lost their throne (Judging from this store). read more

When dining in or taking out, this location is very lazy and do not serve drinks when the order comes out and technically makes you walk up to the register and ask for your drink. The wait for your order is mildly long and shouldn't take 15 minutes just for a 10 piece nugget and a spicy mc crispy without your desired sauces. The food is okay but they don't know how to serve your order correctly. If you come to this McDonalds, go through the drive thru instead inside; unless you like complaining. read more

Mc Donald's is my go to for food just because I know what my children can eat witout any issues and they are open late. We came to this location after our trip to Busch Gardens. We ordered two 4 piece Chicken Nugget Happy Meals, and Big Mac Meal and a Filet-o-fish sandwhich. We were told to pull up to their next window which is fine, but it was such a long wait. On top of that they forgot to include the sweet and sour sauce, so my husband had to go in and ask for some (reason for knocking off one star). If I could give it zero stars I would. They had at least 10 people in the back working but it still took 50 minutes to get my food. Ordered on the kiosk at 10:19am, two McGriddles and two hash browns. At 10:50am I asked one of the workers where my food was and he said he would get it. In a hurry for your McDonald's fix AND on the run? This spot has 2 (two) drive thru's to get you served and on your way quick fast and in a hurry. This drive through is frequently lined up with cars, but they keep em moving! Food orders have always been accurate and delivered. Staff is friendly most of the time which is a plus since they're usually in a hurry serving customers. Can't complain about this one. Get your favorite McDonalds here. read more

I don't want to nor need to write a long review about this McDonald's. Just a few things to note. They do not value their dine in customers during the Lunch Rush. All of us who were inside whether we had dine in or to go orders waited upwards of 30 minutes for our food, while the drive thru cleared out and filled up multiple times. Next thing is most of the employees were fairly rude or not respectful, especially considering the air time we experienced. There was one younger gentleman who was very professional and I'm upset I didn't catch his name. I wish I would have because I would have recommended he get promoted. Lastly, most of the employees smelled heavily of weed. I don't think much else needs to be said on that. It's pathetic when you can't trust a fast food establishment to be quick and pleasant. We ordered our food. The woman over the intercom was polite, however the light skinned girl working at the front window had a horrible attitude. She slung the bag out of the window and said "have a nice day" in a sarcastic voice and walked away without giving us our drink. I sat there and she came back and argued my order. Not a fan of McDonalds in general, but this one is below even that standard. More often than not the fries are stale and cold. Special orders are pretty much guaranteed to be wrong and then you'll get the evil look from most the employees as if its your fault they don't listen. When I was younger customer service was a cornerstone of all dining forms. Sadly this is no longer the case. I tend to avoid this location in favor of the one on Jefferson when I get that rare mcd's craving because this one just tends to treat me like a nuisance instead of a customer. read more

I'm not one to write reviews but I feel the need to but I wish I could give zero stars. This past weekend, I left my house around 9:20 am to get some breakfast. Super easy and simple order. It was a busy day and it took about 10 minutes to get my food. I open the bag and it's wrong. I loop back around and explain my order is wrong. They tell me to pull up to the third window while they correct it. 25 minutes waiting at that window I had enough and went inside. I explain, again, that my order was wrong and I was waiting for an extreme amount of time and I would like to speak to the manager. Instead of being greeted nicely, I'm brushed off. A different worker asked what I needed, I explain that my order was wrong, by this time I had been at McDonald's for 40 minutes(drive thru, waiting, and more waiting). She tells me to speak to a lady she points out, which just so happened to be the same woman who originally was supposed to correct my order. After 5 minutes, I say "excuse me ma'am" and she looks straight at me, ignores me and walks away. I had two other workers come up and try to correct my order, rudely. They get the food in a bag and toss it on the counter, I open it up and check, yet again it is completely wrong. This time it was 50 minutes of waiting. Another lady comes up, hands me my correct order and apologizes and gives me a refund and asks my name so I can get a free meal. I wish I got her name because she was the only worker with respect and good customer service. By the time I got home it was 10:30 and I live right down the road. Also, while I was inside, everyone had wrong orders and were becoming impatient as well. I've had awful experiences but this was by far the worst and completely uncalled for. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. It was disgusting and I highly recommend you go elsewhere if you want great service and food that is correct. read more

I have gone there 6 times trying to see if things would change but they don't. So I am going to go to the one off Oyster point now. This Mcdonalds is terrible. I ordered a number 7 and 10/10 (done it 6 times) they "upgrade" you to a larger drink. At first you think ok its just an extra 30 cents (that I didnt ask for) but fine. However, they upgrade you without asking and then (I got coffee) 10/10 their coffee has been horribly watered down. This place is cheep, takes your money, gives you horrible coffee, and to top it all. Shootings have occured here multiple times. Check the news out in Newport News. This place is ghetto. We ordered a #2 large with a sweet tea, a hot fudge sundae, and 2 mozzarella stick orders. We only got one burger instead of the two that come with the meal. It wasn't even the same burger we had ordered. The sweet tea was a medium instead of a large, and was not sweetened. The hot fudge on the sundae was not hot. And we only got 1 mozzarella stick order instead of 2 so in reality we only got 3 sticks altogether. We waited almost 20 minutes between both windows. This McDonald's dresses their employees in ascots and ties and they're very polite, I will say that. However, we figured the employee presentation and the wait time meant our order would at least be right, which it was anything but. Accuracy is what customers care about most. read more
