Here's me reviewing a Mcdonalds cause on the specific day I visited, it was a lot cleaner than most average Mcdonalds. Staff was super nice and brought my food out. I tried the new Big Arch. Reviewing the Big Arch, not bad I like the crispy onions but I do feel like this is just an overpriced Big Mac for ~$9. The variety of cheese added was a good touch. Tasted similar to a Big Mac, 4 stars since it was edible, just overpriced, great friendly staff and clean interiors. Only tried this after watching the CEO taking a Squidward type bite tbh. Overall this was probably my favorite Mcdonalds location in Oregon. read more

Service tends to be very fast, and as long as I'm appropriately clear and specific with verbal drive thru orders I get what I ordered about 90% of the time which is great. Never had issues with the quality of the food itself (relative to what one should expect from McDonald's anyway). The inside is clean and the parking lot has plenty of spaces for curbside pickup or drive thru waits. read more

I ordinarily would not eat McDonald's but with the cloudy weather and low charge in my onboard battery, I've eaten what I had in the fridge before it went bad. And there really wasn't much else along the way to where I was headed today. So it's McDonald's or be hungry. I frequently use the McDonalds phone ap to order curbside for fast and easy service and always customize my order to remove cheese and butter from menu items as I have a severe allergy to dairy. Today, I ordered a double hamburger and added lettuce, extra onions and tomatoes. I also scored a good deal on a large order of fries for $1.49. I ate the fries first while driving on highway 26 towards Portland because they are so tasty when they are hot . After eating those, I unwrapped my burger and discovered they had melted two slices of cheese on my hamburger! My dairy allergy is severe and causes nausea, diarrhea and in severe cases also cause my throat to constrict and If that happens, I need my eppi pen. I had to throw out my hamburger because some overpaid illiterate didn't read my order! $4 is not a big deal but due to a tight schedule I ended up skipping lunch! Fast food employees want to be paid a living wage however are so careless in their job performance. Consider me disappointed! read more

I usually give McDonalds stores 5 stars when theyre well run USUALLY you get what you expect, to pay what you expect, and what particularly like is that generally, McDonalds foods are packaged environmentally friendly with little or no plastic. This particular store has issues with vagrants. There was a violent episode with one clearly insane homeless person while we were there, and AFTER it was all over the manager came out, asked if the person was ok, and then walked away. There were several other homeless there as well camping out. Definitely do not bring your kids here. My other issue is these doggone digital menu systems. They are HORRIBLE. Very hard to find items on the reader, and even harder to find items on the stupid kiosks. The instore menu behind the counter DID NOT MATCH the kiosk pricing. I mean how the heck does that happen? Went through the drive thru and due to the long line, it took over 20 minutes to get to the food window. Hangry customers yelling / flipping off other hangry customers because everybody wants to get 1 car ahead when merging after ordering. (This part had no impact on my review, just providing the complete experience) When we finally got to the pick up window, we made sure we asked again for bbq sauce and honey packets. We were handed our bag of food and then was asked to move to one of the parking spots to wait for 1 burger. So after waiting for the last burger to be walked out to our vehicle we finally left. The nuggets and fries were no longer hot, we received 3 bbq sauces for 20 nuggets, did not receive the honey packets as requested and the Big Mac had way too much sauce, which made the bun edges soggy in some places. In the past, had several bad incidents. As for for this past month probably twice now. A week and half away, I order on the kiosk self-check, they didn't check my order to make my "to go" order. Luckily enough, one of the employee who was going on break noticed I waited more than ten minutes asked them. My friend just ordered sausage McMuffins. The sausages did not taste fresh. The muffins were hard as a rock. My friend has been a McDonalds customer off and on for years. So he knows when the McMuffins are good. Plus I was on the phone when he ordered and there must be something wrong with their communication system because he had to yell out his order and repeat it several times at the drive thru. I visited there a while back and had the same problem ordering. Plus I got digestive problems from the Egg McMuffin I had there. But the digestive problems could have been just me. I don't eat at Mc Donalds on a regular basis because my body is too sensitive to processed foods. Ok- so this one is easy on and off the freeway. Over the years they have remodeled it often. The actual building is small, not alot of seating, and the order area gets crammed quickly when it is a nice weekend at the coast. the owners here know they are the last stop on the way to the coast, and have run the prices to the higher side. you will pay more for your order here than locations in Portland. they are not know for speed here... they went to the double drive thru a few years back, which helped a little, but be prepared to wait a bit. read more

Two bad experiences in one week. Today was the last straw! I ordered a happy meal for my 3 year old granddaughter and a CARAMEL SUNDAE for myself. I came home with a happy meal and a CHOCOLATE sundae. I drove all the way to my home and tried to call. I got a fax number! So I drove all the way back to McDonald's and went inside (I had gone through drive-thru) as I was in my grammie jammies. I asked for the manager and told her I wanted a refund (it was less than 5 minutes since my order and I had not eaten the sundae). When the manager went to give me my refund, I asked her to put the money on the counter (COVID concerns) and she SLAMMED THE MONEY ONTO THE COUNTER!!!!! Earlier this week, I went to order a frappe but the machine was broken so I had to continue through the drive-thru. I had given my special number since it was linked to my bank account. Imagine my surprise when I received an alert that my card was used for over $3 for something I didn't order! Again, I had to drive back to McDonald's and ask for a refund. And, to add further insult, I had my granddaughter in the car with me. Her window was down. The drive-thru woman asked if "it is black". My granddaughter is bi-racial and basically it is none of your business what her race is! She is a girl and not an "it". I will be following up with Corporate McDonald's tomorrow morning. read more

Now McDonalds isn't known for being a high quality restaurant in and of it self, but this one in particular seems to have lots of flies, all the time. This is our frequent stop on the way to the beach. Located near Highway 26 you will find this McDonalds. The parking lot is pretty spacious and clean. The interior of the restaurant is well maintained and organized. We generally opt for chicken nuggets, big macs and of course their french fries when we visit. The staff is friendly and we always get our food in a timely manner. The last time we visited the cashier saved us a couple of dollars by providing a coupon. Fast and friendly service, what more could you ask for. read more

I ordered one meal and two happy meals but I got no ketchup, no napkins, and no sauce for my chicken McNuggets. What's up with that?

I would give negative stars if I could. Saturday morning around 7:30 stopped at the drive thru on the way to the coast. I pulled in and was behind 2 other cars that were at the speakers. The left lane cleared and immediately an employee placed a safety cone to block that lane. She then proceeded to talk to the car in back of me and then the car at the speaker in front of me, but didn't make any effort to come tell me what was going on. The line of cars in front of me were lined up near the drive thru windows and not moving. I looked behind me to see 6 cars in the drive thru lane waiting. After 5 minutes I was able to pull up to the speaker and place my order, Each time I spoke my order I was told to hold on and then repeat it, this happened 4 times for this one drive thru. At the end of ordering I was then told that they only take cash, no credit cards. Well I didn't have cash on me so I was stuck in the lane for the other 5 cars ahead of me to clear their orders. After 20 minutes I got to the drive thru window and confirmed that only cash was being accepted. I'm guessing this is what the employee was telling others in line when she came and placed the safety cone in the drive thru. I asked at the window if I was able to get a small coffee for my inconvenience and was told a firm NO ! It seemed like giving out a free drink for the inconvenience would have been a no brainer but not there. Stay away from this establishment for your own sanity. read more

This place is a complete hit or miss. It's either super awesome or like hitting your head against a brick wall...no happy medium. I live close by so options are limited. I order a diet Dr Pepper every time...they get it right 2 out of 10 times. I don't leave the drive thru until I've tested my drink. They almost always seem annoyed when I point out they gave me the wrong drink. And it's not like they give me regular Dr Pepper...it's something random like root beer. i order my food after sitting in the drive thru for 5 min . they tell me to pull forward i ask if they got 3 mcflurries on that order and then he tells me they are out of ice cream . they don't tell me that when i'm ordering or even put a sign on the menu saying they are out of ice cream . these guys have messed my order up in the past and i let it go we all make mistakes but i'm done . they will continue to get lots of buisness because of the location and no competition in north plains . mcdonald's used to be a decent fast food chain they have gone down hill . i won't be back. read more

Every time I come my orders is messed up some how. This morning as an example I ask for a Medium Coffee 10 Cream, 10 Sugar and get a small black coffee and when I asked for 10 cream and 10 sugar the worker looked at me funny and handed me 2... It's McDonalds, but from time to time I loose my mind and think I like the food. I then have a hamburger that reminds me why I don't eat at McDonalds. I'm pretty consistent about eating here because at once a year I eat at this restaurant thinking I'm going to like it. It has nothing to do with this particular McDonald's because as McDonald's goes this is a a pretty good place. It has free wifi, a redbox movie rental outside, plus a children play area. It is right off the highway and has a drive through. It is clean and well kept. Fast and friendly service. I'll make my annual pilgrimage to this McDonald's next year. I wish there was another quick place to eat in North Plains. Every time we go here they mess up our order and I either have to go back or just deal with it. I don't understand how hard it is to read a screen and follow directions. Then the 18 year old mangers they hire hide in the back and make the counter people deal with it while arguing with me about my order. It is handy on nights we are running short on time as long as I don't do something crazy like ask for cheese on my quarter pounder or mustard on my chicken sandwich. We went to McDonald's drive thru in north plains at about 520 pm. Ordered three cheeseburgers ketchup only. The person working the window dropped the drink into my husbands hands and it spilled. The three cheeseburgers had all the usual condiments. We went back through the drive thru as the front doors are locked. Asked for the correct order and they started to hand us three hamburgers. We pulled over to wait for the correct cheeseburgers with ketchup only. We were then handed two cheese burgers. I went to the door and knocked loudly. The employee came out and I explained the issue. He rolled his eyes and said they'd get the third one. Not once did anyone apologize for the incorrect order three different times. I called the manager and explained the issues we had and the 20 minutes it took to get our order. The woman clearly did not care about the lack of customer service her team had just provided. I asked for her name and she then asked me for mine. When I explained that we'd never received an apology she very reluctantly said "sorry". I don't think I was actually talking to a manager based on her unprofessionalism. read more
