After a long day working from home on my computer, me and my husband were both hungry and decided to stop at our local McDonald's down here on laurel Rd. We went around 7 or 8pm thru the drive thru and ABSOLUTELY worst experience ever. They must have all the youngsters working the night shifts because we could hear them all laughing in the background of the intercom when the man was trying to take our order. The person on the intercom wasn't even paying attention to my husband when he said what he wanted to order, it was like the worker was more focused what was going on in the background then the customer in the line. he even asked us to repeat our order multiple times cause he couldint hear and we heard him laughing which my husband just pulled up to the window. Everyone in that kitchen was just laughing having a blast while we spent 10 minuets trying to order having the worker making up repeat what we said and he's laughing in the background as well while we're frustrated When we confronted him it turns out he spoke little to NO English at all, thankfully my husband was fluent in Spanish and it was almost like he didn't even speak ANY Spanish at all?!? My husband asked him if he spoke English or Spanish and the worker replied with spanish, and when he spoke to him in Spanish the worker acted confused and acted like he ain't understand a single word my husband was saying. (For the record my husband is from Michoacán) Absolutely terrible experience we would not be going here again, the manager was no where to be found and seems to be as childish as the rest of them, scheduling all the friends together instead of the hard working staff who actually do a good job. read more

Came here one random morning for breakfast. A lot of open parking spaces. There is a drive thru that had a few cars in line. Inside was nice and clean, very empty. I ordered from the kiosk and waited not even 5 minutes and my order was called. A lot of inside seating tables and chairs. It was nice and quiet. The big breakfast I ordered was good. I rarely go to McDonalds butt had been meaning to go to this one as it's fairly new to my neighborhood. It was small on the inside but super clean. I also wasn't aware that most orders are now done through the kiosk making ordering a breeze. You are in queue with to go orders, drive through orders, door dash orders etc but the wait wasn't too bad. I was able to pick up the grinch meal that came with dill pickle seasoning for your fries, and a pair of grinch socks. Everything was great. It's getting pretty expensive and I can't imagine picking up meals for my family but they do have perks if you joint the app that have discounted and free food items in a weekly basis. So if you're in a rush for a quick meal the golden arches does not disappoint. read more

I don't expect much from a McDonalds and this location doesn't even meet minimal standards. Order ahead is slower than ordering through the regular drive thru and if you need to talk to a manager, expect an attitude and poor service. The workers are usually pleasant but routinely food takes longer than other McDonald's and it's not hot when you get it. My hubby said it was the worst McDonalds burger he's ever had. 1060 Laurel Rd Oakley, CA 94561 New and modern McDonald's on Laurel Rd in Oakley, CA. I stopped here on a Thursday around 4pm on my way back to the freeway. Everything looks new. I went to the drive-thru, with only 1 car ahead of me. The drive-thru has double menu lanes, and two server windows. That's all really nice, but you still have to train your staff. The order taker was okay, the cashier was okay, but the young lady who handed me my order seemed too shy for the job. No smile, no hello, no thank you.....just hang the bag out the window. Service, Grade (2/5). I ordered a Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese and a Medium Fries. Fries were hot and fresh. My 1/4-lb w/ cheese looked smashed and the meat patty wasn't juicy. It tasted okay, just it didn't seem "fresh off the grill." Food and Value, Grade (2/5). Location was super clean on the outside. There was a man in the parking lot cleaning up litter. Grade (4/5). Worse drive-thru experience! The young man at the payment window was competent and respectful. Unfortunately, the woman at the pick-up window was the opposite. After paying at the first window, I drove forward to window #2 since no one was visible at window #1 and the lane was clear. As soon as I did, I saw the woman at window #1 waving for me to back up--so I did. She then told me, "No one is at that window... always here," referring to window #1. There was no way for me to know window #2 wasn't staffed without pulling forward to check. More importantly, it would have been much safer and more considerate for her to take a few steps and hand me my order at window #2 instead of having me reverse while other cars were in line. Second time coming to get a McFlurry and the machines aren't working! Really come on McDonald's this is a brand new restaurant! There is no way your machines are failing already! On top of that 80% of the time we come we always get sent to the third window to wait for our food and end up sitting there for 5-20 mins! That's ridiculous! If I could give this place a negative rating, I absolutely would. Visiting this location felt like gambling with my time and sanity, thanks to the horror stories I've read on Facebook groups. I'd only been here twice before today, and I regret giving it another chance. This morning, I was on my way to drop my child off at school after a medical appointment and decided to stop by. I ordered a #2 meal, and despite the drive-thru attendant mumbling her way through the conversation, we somehow landed on a #2 with a Diet Coke. I didn't specify the exact sandwich because my son wanted it, and frankly, I couldn't tell you what it was now because of what happened next. After paying (side note: the girl taking the order needs serious help enunciating and speaking up), I went to the pickup window only to be handed just a sandwich. I politely pointed out to the woman working the drive-thru that the Diet Coke and hash brown were missing. Instead of addressing the mistake professionally, she immediately went on the defensive. She checked with the girl who took my order, and together they decided to gaslight me by claiming I had only paid for a sandwich. First of all, why would I mention a Diet Coke if I hadn't ordered the meal? Second, instead of apologizing or attempting to resolve the situation, the drive-thru worker--who was an ordinary-looking Hispanic woman with an attitude problem--decided to stare at me like I had just insulted her entire family. Then she started laughing. Laughing. At a customer calmly explaining an error. At this point, I was floored. I reiterated that I had ordered the full meal, not just a sandwich. Her response? More smug laughter, like I was trying to scam Mickey D's out of a hash brown and a drink. Newsflash: I wasn't angry--until this woman decided to act like a deranged villain in a bad sitcom. The situation was beyond absurd. It was clear she didn't care about customer service, professionalism, or even basic human decency. Her behavior suggested she's either deeply unhappy with her life or fresh out of a prison yard, where this type of combative, unhinged attitude might be acceptable. It was fresh and well cooked my issue is on how toxic their work environment is I went in with daughter and I literally heard the manager screaming and treating the employees horribly my child was scared from the heated shouting it was very uncomfortable to seat there and wait for our food this event was last week and I wish it was the first time this happened but sadly it's happened multiple times that I've gone in I truly feel bad for the employees that have to work in that hostile environment no one should be treated in their work place like that upper management should do something about it, maybe retrain their Managers or something. I've been here a few times and the service here is trash every time. Either you go inside and workers will just look at you and ignore you when you come to the counter, managers are also rude and snappy with you as if you're bothering them just being there, and going through the drive thru they often forget some of your items or make you go wait for your food at the third window for like 20 minutes without anyone around to help you. Unfortunately it's the closest McDonald's to me, but after today I'm going to start driving out of my way to go somewhere else. I made a mobile order, double checked it was the right location, and then pulled up to the drive thru, gave them the code, and the girl says they can't find it in the system. They told me to pull up to the first window, meanwhile I'm triple checking I ordered it for the right location, which I did. And I showed her my order, she says it's weird it's not working and she's gonna try to switch it for counter pickup, that doesn't work but somehow now it says for a different location. Long story short, she gets the manager (the cashier said the manager's name was Lulu) and the manager is yelling at her being extremely rude and tells her to tell me I can go pick it up at the other location in another town or pay for it again. I ask to speak with the manager herself to clarify, and Lulu the manager refuses to speak to me and is basically like oh well. I don't think it's right to have to pay twice for an order when I ordered it at the right location in the first place. Wow, how are these guys in business. If you are not DoorDash or getting a meal to go, you are going to get ignored. No soda machine. No one at the counter. You only see someone when they are putting a DoorDash order on the counter. So that means no refills on a soda. And if you do catch someone coming to the front, they cannot speak English! And you think that's not a big deal, but when they ran out of pickles, the other day, they sent someone to the grocery store down the street and they bought bread and butter pickles. And let me tell you, if you can't read English, you'll find out quickly that bread and butter pickles are garbage. I do not know how these guys got at McDonald's, but I can guarantee you that they can get one, anybody can. What a joke. And to add insult to injury, we decided to order some ice cream for the kids at the end of a very subpar meal. 30 minutes later, two caramel sundaes and three McFlurry show up. Im concerned about the children who walk over the homeless people outside McDonald's. An elementary school isn't the best location, likely why it was originally rejected. No playground, no security. More homeless people are sleeping in the parking lot in an already dangerous intersection. Being open 24 hours is risky. read more

We ordered several meals and the manager (Sara) handed my husband two bags. The bag of fries fell and we were able to retrieve them. (This individual releases the bag prior to making sure you have full possession.) She looked upset at us but we told her that the fries appeared to be fine. She handed my husband 4 drinks so my husband reached out to grab them. The brake hold accidentally disengaged and our car rolled forward. Thankfully there was no car in front of us and we didn't hit the building. We went back around and my husband tried to explain what happened. Sara didn't care or try to listen. I spoke to her in Spanish and tried to explain what happened. She said we hurt her arm and told us to move to #1. We waited for 10 mins and no one came out. We could see her pointing at our car from the window and she was clearly upset. I was able to get the attention of a male employee (Francisco) and he agreed to bring us our drinks. We explained what happened and told him that now our food was cold. He agreed to give us fresh food. Last week, my husband got food and Sara handed my husband the drinks. They fell. I've never had an employee hand bags of food or drinks and release them without assuring the customer has full possession. I wouldn't recommend this store at all. read more

This location just recently opened. I've been here 3 times already and today was it for me. The last 2 times I've been here, something from my order was missing. Today, I waited 20mins on curbside pick up. I finally decided to go down and get my order. I understand it's lunch time, knowing this location is new, near two schools. Hire more workers. Went to the drive through late I believe it was 12:50 ordered 40 piece nuggets and 2 cheese burger meal large waiting 3 for my fries which they were nice and hot but my cheeseburger were cold had no ketchup on it barely and my 40 piece nuggets were nasty and soggy kids didn't eat what a waste of money and time very disappointed. Thee most trash McDonald's. Closing time is 1030pm Christmas Eve hours. They shut everything down at 9:45pm.....
