I went on Sunday March 16 at this subway restaurant located at 4514 Main Street in Oakley at 7:35 pm and doors were locked and open light off ,it was closed already with just a few lights on inside , but there was two employees inside. Best Subway I've been to... the sandwiches are always yummy and the staff are sweet... been there twice this week.

Went to this location on a Saturday, 2/17 at 7:41. The lights were on and the doors were locked. Being that it your hours are from 9am to 8pm on Saturdays I knocked on the door. There was a young girl behind counter who ignored me for a couple of minutes before finally opening the door. She proceeded to tell me and three other customers that her brother was in the hospital and that she was trying to close early to go see him. But it didn't appear that she had been in a hurry when we first arrived. To make her story even less plausible I saw her laughing with another co worker after turning us away. Find someone who can stay their entire shift. It was a waste of time to drive there in the rain during business hours and not be served. read more

Come on down to this location for some good sandwiches. Yes. I know you might say if you been to one Subway then they are all the same. I don't agree. I believe it starts with the fresh smile of the employee who is waiting to prepare your sandwich or wrap or even a salad. I was greeted by a lovely young lady named Isaura. Hopefully I spelled it correctly. (My apologies if not). The Chipotle southwest steak and cheese wrap is delicious. I put mine on a spinach tortilla with peeper jack cheese lettuce, bell peppers, onions, jalapeños with chipotle mayo. The bomb. The BMT Italian is another favorite of mine. On sourdough. Those pepperoni, salami, and black Forrest ham on a sourdough roll with lettuce, pepperoncini , bell peppers, onions, mayo and mustard with oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. "Mangia". They also have soups chips and cookies available to finish off the meal. If you ask for a combo automatically include some chips and a drink. The eating place is clean and open. Again major props to the energetic young lady. Great customer service. Positive interaction with the customers. From start of asking what I would like to the ring at the register. Got here at 9:05 from bethel island to get my son's lunch for school and they closed early again . I don't like to complain but I take a long drive to here and this is like the 3rd or 4th time they closed early. The girls that work here need to be retrained. I've been in a few times and they are SO slow and aren't focused. One time they swapped the orders at check out and two customers received the wrong orders. Tonight we ordered online and they still managed to screw up our order. It is the first Subway I've experienced that the manager really cared about my survey reward. He explained it had to be redeemed at the same Subway I visited. Otherwise, you won't be able to use it. I work with a group of adults with special needs. Today we went to this location and a man who I think is the owner was there with two other employees. Not only did they handle our order efficiently, they were very polite and patient with our group. This doesn't always happen. The man behind the counter gave every one a cookie or drink if they could not afford it. Our vans battery died and he got us his jumper cables. I eat subway for lunch almost every day. It's inexpensive and fresh. I am a cable installer and I am always in different areas, at different subways. This is one of the best. The service was fast, friendly, and the food was great. All the toppings looked fresh and appetizing. They also have a bathroom which is nice for me since I'm on the road all day. Where do I start... very unprofessional, very rude the girls do not know how to make the correct change for you so, you always have to ask for your money, They do not know how to greet the customers as they walk in the door.... OR inform customers that they are out of meatballs, OR out of anything, waited 13 mins for someone to tell me that they are out of meatballs. The real story is there were too lazy to open up a new pack and cook it for the night, waited 13 minutes for someone to tell me they dont have it. This Subway is super clean and unlike many other locations it keeps the meat and produce covered by a glass top while sandwiches are not being prepared. The staff is quick/ efficient and the owner/manager (I'm not sure which) is incredibly friendly and courteous. Although the menu does not vary from each Subway deli to the next I will definitely make a point to come to this location again because I feel confident that my food will be handled properly and that my patronage is appreciated. read more

This particular subway sucks sorry for wording it that way but it's true. Yesterday I got my sandwich to go and purchased 2 cookies and didn't realize that they didn't give them to me. Today I got a chicken bacon ranch sandwich got back to my job and they forgot the bacon and they charged me for it. That's not the bad part though, I was in the store alone and a black women came in and was ordering her sandwich right next to me and they obviously didn't know that I understand a little bit Spanish but all 3 of the employees were making multiple racial slurs towards this respectful women. So i am now going to drive the extra 5 miles to the next subway instead of the quarter mile it takes for me to get there. Horrible service. read more

I was able to place an order by phone and the staff member was very friendly and easy to speak with. When it was time to pick up my sandwich, I was able to get right to the cashier and not wait in any line. An added bonus: they gave me a discount because I'm a teacher (she saw my "badge"). I was in this place yesterday and they were spraying down the inside of the glass with like Windex and it was getting all over the food and the cloth the girl was using was so dirty looked like she just washed a dirty car with it, she was dragging that across the food as well, wont go back there again. I haven't gone to this location in awhile and I usually always had good experiences there. Today, I couldn't say the same. I don't remember this particular girl but I only know her name from my receipt . Angelica had very poor customer service. She was not very friendly and not once did I see her smile. She misunderstood what I ordered and when I asked her about the extra charge she was very defensive and was very short with me. She told me that that's not what I said and that I must wait in line again for them to take care of it for me . So I patiently waited with my two kids in line again. When I got up there the other lady asked me what was wrong and I began to tell her that I was charged extra but Angelica cut me off and told her that I ordered it that way.
