If I could give this place negative stars, I would. First, we were walking and the drive-thru was the only option, but they refused to serve us because we weren't in a car. Fine. We came back five minutes later in a car, and suddenly they claimed they were "only taking DoorDash orders." I opened DoorDash immediately couldn't even place an order. On top of that, the woman working was bitter, rude, and gave me and my friends nothing but attitude. Absolutely unacceptable. though i do like mcdonald's, this one felt lackluster. it feels like the epitome of a stereotypical mcdonald's. for being one of the only fast food places in ocean city, it felt like it should be better known the crowds they'd pull. the first time we walked in, we were greeted by dingy tables the looked bombed by iran and only one out of 4 mobile order kiosks working. the line was out the door just for to order and made me question my diet and if i really should be eating mcdonald's. and the lady at the register was only coming to the register whenever she felt like it. (which wasn't very often if i'm being honest) so, i got an ice cream cone and went on with my day. the service was fast, but they did give me attitude when handing me my SINGLE ice cream cone. it wasn't too bad, but how can you really mess up mcdonald's ice cream? since we didn't have a full meal, we came back the next night at 10:40 pm when they closed at 11. we figured we would have enough time to get in and out quickly before the official closing. turns out, as we walked up all excited for a big mac, we were greeted by a lady telling us to leave and that the store wasn't open. even 20 minutes before closing, all of the chairs were up and the store show down. it was evident that the started closing up shop over 30 minutes before their actual closing time, though i saw many groups waiting outside after being turned away. it's crazy because with no other food places open, they had the audacity to shut down over 20 minutes early and act like we were the rude ones for trying to come in?!? i don't even need to try the food (though i will be coming back) to know that's it isn't a great restaurant, and one of the worst mcdonald's i've been to in one of the nicest areas i've been to. read more

This is a first for me calling a place RACIST, but this place truly is against white people. In the drive-through i ordered a burger and said, "NO CHEESE. JUST KETCHUP". I get to the window, and it has cheese on it, so they tell me to pull my car up. 10 minutes later they bring out the food, AND IT'S GOT CHEESE ON IT, so i went inside. I voiced my complaints, and the cook actually says, 'GO BACK TO YOUR PEOPLE HOMIE". They definitely have cameras, SO they can see that it seriously did happen. read more

I walked in with a group of my friends about 40 minutes before closing. We placed an order for a large coffee and paid for a large and were given a medium (you can see the size printed on the side of the cup). When we politely asked the manager/supervisor if we could actually receive the large we paid for, she not only lied and said a "medium-large" was the legitimate size given, but would not even look at us to have a professional interaction. Very poor experience. A few people were sitting in the parking lot by the drive in now allowing cars to get to the driver thru. Once the people finally moved, the drive thru line took 24 minutes for 3 vehicles to place orders and get their food. Meanwhile sitting in line, the people that were preventing cars from getting to the drive thru lane, were walking back and forth very closely to the cars in the drive thru line. 2 cars left because of the wait and people walking by their vehicles. As for the food...It came out barely warm and the bread on the burger felt stale / dried out. read more

We were across the street at Pirate Island playing a round and decided on a quick greasing before leaving town. The McD's that Jim Cantalupo brought back from the brink of irrelevance is gone and the chain as a whole is right back at the brink of complete irrelevance. 1. Filthy parking lot 2. Filthy store 3. Filthy bathrooms from all of the customers/drivers coming off of the NJT buses next door that walk in, drop a deuce and then leave without buying anything. 4. Apathetic staff 5. Too many staff standing around looking fake supervisorial while only a select few are trying to do everything. 6. The food was as advertised but it takes way, way too long to render. 7. Turning on the A/C would have been nice as staff and customers were both drenched in sweat. This place I suppose still serves a purpose in town as a safe alternative to the pile of overpriced local spots or the local spots who either close early or before their scheduled time but if you've got the gumption, driving out to the WaWa in Somers Point may not be the worst idea in lieu of this cesspool. read more

This is the first, but I got locked into a McDonald's. Outside there is a patio with tables and to get there you need to go through the door in McDonald's. However when you go through the doors, you get locked out. After knocking and no one hearing me, I called someone near by. We waited for them and they opened the door and we left. Other than that, it's a pretty bad McDonald's. Very slow, the service is bad etc. At least the food tastes good! read more

Wow. Just an awful experience to say the least. To begin, we enter into the establishment, and I put in my order. As I type my items on the tablet, I was given the offer to eat inside. My friends and I agreed it would be good fun to consume our meals within the restaurant, as to keep trash out of our car. However, I later learned that inside dining was not available, causing me to redo my entire order. Past that, as my order goes through, there was a clear lack of organization within the store. I ordered the "senior" fountain soda, which was the cheapest and smallest, perfect for my lack of thirst. However, as our order was returned, the drink was not given. When I confronted the manager, she informed me that the senior option was only for elders. Undisclosed to me as I ordered, I now had no drink, and I'm $.69 in the hole. However, I had a water in the car, so I got past it. However as I returned home, we analyzed the items included in our meals. To our surprise, my friends cheeseBURGER, had no Burger. As seen in the photo included in this post, we received no patty. How this can be missed I don't know. As I went to call the McDonalds back to see about a refund, or to simply inform them of their shortcomings, no response. I call again, no response, and a third time... no response. I believe this final chapter of my McDonald's experience summarizes the store perfectly, however I'll put it into three words, unorganized, disrespectful, and confusing. I truly hope some new management is implemented quickly, because the store is going is a dark direction. read more

I have eaten at this McDonalds before and its been ok. Today i stopped here with the family on our way home for a quick meal and it was anything but quick. The service was extremely slow and they were getting orders wrong. My mother in law and i got the artisan chicken sandwich and she had to take her first one back because it was too tough to eat. She got a replacement and she said it wasn't much better. My sandwich was ok but the fries seemed over cooked. None of the employees seemed to have any sence of urgency or motivation and that includes the manager and assistant manager. Also the soda and ice machines are out of order. all but one and that one was out of ice. I thought McDonalds had a better grip on quality control, i guess i was wrong. I can't recommend anyone stopping there. The manager and assistant manager need to be replaced asap if that is how they run the place. Stay away! Far away!!! read more

After approaching the girl at the register, I was told to place my order at the self service screen. I ordered a decaf iced coffee. While waiting for it, I asked if they could pour the coffee into my reusable cup (to save the earth and not waste plastic) and was told by the manager that they cannot do that. I was disappointed but said okay, waited about 5 more minutes to be told that the decaf coffee maker is broken... This location is absolutely terrible. Picture this: I drove through the drive thru , ordered my food, approached the window where i waited for approximately 10 minutes. The man in front of me never received his food and drove off in a rage. When i got to the window, the lady asked for my order all over again while laughing at me. Another 5 minutes or so pass by and she eventually gives us our food, cold. Please do yourself a favor, and NEVER visit this location. I asked for buffalo sauce and ranch sauce and only received buffalo sauce. I don't like buffalo sauce on its own. the fries were too salty and cold. the nuggets had fatty pieces in them. Very dirty store with outdated decor. Can't believe that a busy beach town McDonald's has not been updated. Being outdated wouldn't be so bad if it were kept clean. Dirty floors at 8am. Shelves above seating areas were coated with dust. Easy to see the when the sun shines in- wipe it down! Pickup counter dirty. Gross goo at bottom of trash can area that wasn't cleaned up.
