Not 24/7. Let's start with that! I've worked at McDonalds as a teenager, and recently while looking for a short term job, I stumbled upon this store which claimed they were hiring a night manager/crew member. I applied, got told to come in for an interview at 9am on Monday. I arrived, manager said she had no idea (she was the one who told me to come in). Left my info, never heard back. Called at night to talk to night manager, same manager that said she had no idea I had an interview picked up. I asked to speak to a Hiring Manager, she heard my voice and instantly hung up. At this point, I let myself be petty. I waited for the interview alerts from mchire to pop and scheduled one instantly. I already found a much better job, so this was purely to confirm they are bias/poorly ran. I arrived on schedule, she said she had no time to interview and asked me to leave. This McDonalds is one of the worst if not the worst store I've ever been to. They lack simple professional courtesy, lie about interviews, They are prejudice towards those of different ethnic backgrounds which has been proven consistently by family members of mine and friends who have been severely mistreated by staff here. To top it all off, they claim they "don't take orders" at 1-3am. They claim this because they don't want to work. I can 100% confirm this due to the fact on the same exact days with a different person working they will take orders. Do not eat here. This McDonald's is not bad but has some flaws. The entrance is out of place, you have to cross the busy drive thru and street. There is also not much parking here and the drive thru is a bit thin and small. The food here is nice. Warm food is always served! Near the main roads but is dangerous leaving the McDonald's onto Georgia avenue. I hope this review helps! read more

First, they are very inconsistent with their fries. Sometimes they are mushy, sometimes they're missing salt. Second, you need pretty good driving skills to navigate that curve in the drive through (my stepson popped his tired going around that curve). Third, why don't they ever give you napkins?! The evening / overnight customer service at this location is the worst!! I had circled around 2 extra times because of missing items then was asked for a receipt after not getting one. I paid through apple pay but still did not get a receipt. The MOD, Katherine Garcia, told me she could not do anything because I did not have a receipt. How many times do I have to tell you, you guys FAILED to give me a receipt, but I showed you the transaction though apple pay with timestamps and costs. Nothing but time wasted. Twice I caught the mobile app overcharging me on their "free fries" offer. The summary payment page accurately shows the free large fries, with a line drawn through the price and the total for the order being accurate. However, when reviewing my credit card charge, it clearly adds in the cost for large fries. DONT USE THEIR MOBILE APP FOR ANY OF THEIR FREE OFFERS. The first time it happened I called and spoke with customer service. I provided lengthy information off my receipt, as well as personal info about my cell phone, module and version. I went through the drive thru at around 4pm on a Sunday afternoon. There was a no line but there was no customer service. The person taking the order seemed like he didn't want to be there, no "Can I take your order?", no "thank you", etc. Even at the window, he verified part of the order, took my card, and gave me my card and receipt with no words. The food pickup window was exactly the same - "here" and handed me a bag. I only gave this place two stars because they actually got my order correct and I didn't have to wait. read more

Before the recent remodel this location was plagued by poor service, an unsanitary dining area and slow delivery of "fast food." If I had to describe this restaurant now, it's: "You can't put lipstick on a pig." The remodel didn't seem to fix any of this location's issues. Service is slower, my order got delivered with half the items missing, the place is constantly unsanitary (see pics) and it's just a mess. In addition they took out critical sidewalks and pedestrian walkways from the parking lot making this restaurant dangerous to navigate with small children. I would recommend a cleaning of house from management down, and elimination of several of the "enhancements" for safety at a minimum. I do not think I'll be returning and I recommend the same for others. read more

Okay, one of the reviews of this franchise summed up why we can expect good service but may not get it. McDonald's will always meet or exceed their profit margin no matter what. Folks will always buy their fries, burgers and other popular menu items. This franchise is and has always been one of the worse when it comes to customer service at yet they still are in business. Does this mean the case being made for them to improve is hopeless? No it does not. It will require discipline on our part. Stop spending your money at this location. Keep writing reviews. Contact the corporate headquarters. Tell the on call manager that poor customer service is not acceptable and ask for a refund. On Monday 03/27/23 I ordered 3 breakfasts meals by the drive thru and the woman who was taking the orders with an Ethiopian accent told me that she couldn't hear me and I answered her with my loudest voice that I want 3 meals so that way she could hear me. I admittedly love McDonalds. This is one location that in the past I've visited far too many times. Tonight I hesitated to give three stars. I try to be as far as possible with my reviews. Positives: Hot Food and Order was delivered fast via the drive thru. Remodeled establishment. Very clean dining area. High tech individual ordering stations. Conveniently open 24/7. Negatives: Ordered sweet tea and received iced black coffee. Customer service was lacking and full of attitude. Very lackadaisical moods when I returned my order. No apologies for making the wrong drink. Just a hastily thrown new cup. I was really taken aback by the attitudes especially given I had to physically go inside the restaurant to get a new drink. Did I mention it's freezing cold outside? One thing that perplexed me is the lack of sidewalks for pedestrians. That's extremely dangerous. They should make plans to place a sidewalk from the parking lot into the restaurant. As of now customers have to dodge cars to enter. I have faith that this restaurant will improve. I know it just reopened and maybe the employees need time to relearn customer service. This is the closest McDonalds to me so I'll be back. As of now I won't rush to return. On 3 Jan at 8 am walking into the restaurant I moved a dolly from the drive through since an employee just walked past it. Went to wash my hands but there was no soap and hair all around the sink as if someone cut their hair or beard there. FOR THE FIRST TIME I used the Mcdvoice.com code to get a second sandwich for free. When I ordered a coke I forgot to say "senior" so the price was not the normal 79 cents but rather $1.49. I'm 78 with gray hair. I also mention and gave the clerk my coupon with the code filled out and asked for the second sandwich. When the tray was delivered there was only one sandwich. I pointed out her error. She said only one redemption per month and walked away. I waited at the register to either get my sandwich or the coupon back. When she saw that I was not leaving, she got my second sandwich. Been going to McDonalds in Olney, MD, over the past year, every Wednesday morning to meet with my ROMEO guys-5 of us all retired. One star, my coworkers and I work hard shifts until really late. They kick us out any chance they can get when it is open for dining 24/7. (We are a little loud but nothing too rowdy.) I understand when they are too low on workers to run the dining area but they this happens also when we can see other customers inside and eating. No explanation. No respect. Normally I refrain from writing reviews for fast food places since the case is usually "seen one, seen 'em all" but this McDonalds is especially worthy of condemnation. It took me until I went to school out of state to realize that the absolutely terrible service, lukewarm food and general crappyness is pretty much unique to this McDonalds, and not at all typical of McDonalds around the country. I blame the fact that this McDonalds is so terrible on its lack of competition. This is the only McDonalds for miles, and the other fast food places in Olney are fried chicken places, not typical competition like a Burger King or Wendy's. It is also the only place besides 7-11 and Harris Teeter that is open 24 hours in Olney for food. Getting orders wrong, getting cold food, soggy fries, and dealing with sassy staff are all par for the course at this McDonalds. It's gotten to the point where I avoid this McDonalds at all costs, and you should do the same. Either they should realize that service matters, or they should fail. read more

I received the worst customer service at this location on June 30, 2018. When I walked up to the counter, I greeted the cashier and did not receive a response. Fine, we all have bad days, I get it. After placing my order, I'm informed that the soda machine isn't working. I waited a few seconds for the cashier to explain what my drink options were. That turned into a staring contest. After 10 -15 seconds, I decided to ask. I opted to receive an apple juice with the happy meal I ordered. I pay for the food and step away from the counter. While I'm waiting, I look at my receipt only to discover that I was charged an additional dollar for ordering the juice box. I return to the cashier, he takes my receipt, stares at it then turns to ask the manager for a refund. The manage examines the receipt, processes the refund and I passes me my dollar. There was never any apology, eye contact, nothing of the sort. They acted as if they were doing me a favor. I didn't expect such poor service in such an affluent location. read more

Wow, where should I begin? No one at the counter can communicate at higher than a 3rd grade level. If you don't use the new kiosks, don't expect your order to get filled correctly. If you do use the new kiosks, don't try to use any coupons because they can't deal with coupons for kiosk orders. A burger order takes 10 to 15 minutes to get filled inside. They aren't interested in serving customers inside anymore because the drive-thru is overwhelmed. But the drive thru takes 10 to 20 minutes, too! Wish I could give zero stars. All the signs say it is open 24 hours. The staff takes the liberty to close the store around 3:00am-4:00am every day so they can nap. Drive through is blocked with traffic cones and a rolling trash can/dumpster- every day. I hope they clean house. read more

I ordered a steak egg and cheese bagel and it had packaging plastic on it. After spitting out the plastic I went in the store and asked for a manage. He was extremely rude and got upset wit me like I made the sandwich. I asked for his name so I could leave a complaint and he ordered me out of the store, screaming " I don't care who you call or what you do, anyone could have made that mistake ". Im just glad I take small bites. I wish I could upload pictures of what was on my sandwic. Definitely something large enough to take someones life. I plan on sueing. read more
