    Ruth's Tuna Salad

I always drove by this place on my way to work & I finally stopped by to check it out By far this was one of my favorite tuna sandwiches because although it was simple it was quite delicious. I love that they have plenty of options for toppings, my toppings I added were lettuce, onions, tomato, hot pepper relish, Russian dressing, and Gouda. The only thing that I wish they had was more bread options, not a huge fan of whole wheat bread.

My friend and I had lunch here yesterday. This was my first time. Sisters is located up the stairs from the parking lot and strip mall with Roots, Wells Fargo, and Starbucks on Georgia Avenue. They have plenty of patio seating with umbrellas and a view of Georgia Avenue in the front and the strip mall in the back. You order at the counter and get a table marker and food is delivered to you. I ordered the Mediterranean wrap with grilled chicken but the chicken wasn't very grilled or seasoned and the overall sandwich felt quite dry. I probably would order something different next time as their menu is diverse, and I hear their breakfast is delicious! The service was friendly and punctual.

This place is so cute and unique in Olney and DMV. I would really to recommend everyone come and visit if you have a chance. The location is very convenient. Not only it is a nice place for gourmet sandwiches and salads but the highlight is their ambient make you feel like homey where you can enjoy your meal among a backyard with outdoor tables. If you want more privacy, they also offer dinning table inside too. (1st and 2st floor in a house that looks like cottage or farmhouse style - not sure) Anyway, inside restaurant is quite tiny especially when you have to stay in line for ordering and waiting. I prefer to order ahead, grab a food and find some space outside to enjoy my break. Their menu might not be a lot of choices or fancy but I think they have enough good selections for you to try and get cozy experience in the same time.

I was craving a Reuben sandwich & also wanted to try Sisters Sandwiches. I enjoyed the Reuben after I added more Russian dressing to it. There was minimal sauerkraut on it. The sandwich did what I needed it to do - satisfied a craving! The bread was soft, meat was just right, not salty. I will give it a go again, I chalked the lack of some things due to the fact that it was almost closing time.

Bacon slices were cooked in one piece.

UPDATE: This is a very quaint mom and pop café with a homely feel to it. Coming back from a Dr's appointment the husbae and wanted breakfast since it was still early and like typical husbae he found Sisters Sandwiches and Such. He said it had good ratings, ok let's check it out! I ordered the bagel with cream cheese and lox, I didn't realize it was cream cheese lox (mixed together). I was a little disappointed because I was hoping for actual slices of lox. Nonetheless it was tasty. I asked that the bagel be extra toasty, they did a great job. Husbae ordered his favorite, pancakes and bacon. I tried the pancakes and was like ok, a little tough and just ok, definitely not IHOP pancakes. The bacon had a hint of sweetness to it, and they cooked several slices into one slice, weird . Overall this intimate spot was ok. It was clean and the staff was nice. I ordered this warm brie with a raspberry jam and pecans which I almost left because I ordered it to go. I check back in to let you know how it was. Picture included. The brie was freakin amazing!!! Best part of the meal even the next day, highly recommend .

    Cranberry Turkey sandwich was delicious!

I was here one time during Covid in June 2020 and of course ate outside on at least a nice warm day but not too hot that day. As I recall, the inside area was small and nicely decorated, and they had plenty of outside seating, maybe more outside seating than inside (even not counting that indoor dining was off the table in Montgomery County in June 2020). This was an old historic house, so not much space. Staff was nice, and the turkey cranberry sandwich was delicious on fresh bread.

I ordered takeout from Sisters the day i moved into my new house and it was great! The perfect quick mid-move meal! The sandwiches were so simple but so delicious and filling! I definitely plan on visiting in person in the future!!! Perfect lunch date!

They even have a patio if you want to sit outside. The service was very good. My friend and I were splitting two different sandwiches and the waiter was kind enough to serve them separately. So, we didn't have to worry about anything. We started off with a half of order of onion rings. They were perfectly fried and delicious! There was a very generous amount! Then, we ordered the turkey and avocado sandwich. It was very good. But, the home run goes to the Le Pilgrim. The sandwich had fresh roasted turkey, cranberry-pecan relish, mashed potatoes, cornbread & apple stuffing, herb mayonnaise on French loaf with a gravy dunker on the side. It was a great sandwich and we both finished our halves. And, the dunking gravy was amazing. So, the food was delicious, service was very good, and prices were reasonable. No room at the bar so we stood outside for little while until bemch inside became available. Service was good, atmosphere was slightly noisy, but not where we couldn't hear conversation at our table. Food came out promptly. I tried the chicken salad on brioche which was very good. Hubby had the prime rib which he found overcooked and dry. Our friends had crab cake sandwich which she liked. We all ordered onion rings at additional cost for our side and those were very good. Though this place has a following, I wouldn't say I'm dying to return. Its decent, but nothing over-the top to exclaim over.

But there's a pattern here that keeps me from giving a higher rating, and today it crossed a line. For a spot charging $7+ for a bagel with cream cheese, the policy of charging extra for a to-go cup with ice and a lid has always felt petty. Today it got worse. I asked for an extra cup & lid for ice before being rung up, and the employee wrongly assumed I wanted a simple water cup. When I clarified, instead of extending a small courtesy to a regular customer, he stopped and ran a separate credit card transaction for $2.65, the full price of a beverage, for an empty cup. I had already paid for my bottled beverage. It's not solely about the money. It's about what that gesture communicates to your customer. A $0.25 cup given as a goodwill gesture goes a long way. A separate $2.65 charge for an empty cup does the opposite. The food and early open time will keep bringing me back. But management should keep in mind that it's the small things that turn regulars into occasional visitors.
