    Chicken omelette

Love it for local fresh breakfast. Always greeted upon entry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cozy seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The complimentary muffins give a good start especially if hungry. The chicken omelet is the bomb filled with fresh green peppers. The 2 egg sandwich is a good portion.

My husband and I had a lovely breakfast at Scratch Kitchen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The warm and inviting environment made for a very comfortable start to our dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was nice to hear a bit of Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To The Moon" and "La Llorona" playing in the background, blending two cultures in one place[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The service was great. The staff treated each guest with kindness, respect, and professionalism. The food was worth the trip. I ordered the Big Scratch Platter with Turkey Bacon and a Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancake. My husband chose the Chicken Fajita Omelet. Everything was flavorful and well-cooked. I'm so glad we stopped by during our trip. We'll definitely remember this place to visit again on our next trip to Maryland.

I had been so excited to get the chance to finally try this place. It's a quaint cafe so I suggest making a reservation if you decide to check them out. I loved the flavor of the mango iced tea. My potatoes were perfectly crispy. When it comes to the breakfast sandwich it was quite bland and dry, I wish there had been some type of aioli or sauce on it. It came out with a side of ketchup, so I had asked if I could swap it out for barbecue sauce since I don't like ketchup and our server Liz just said "we don't have it". The host/owner was very polite and personable, I feel we would've had a better experience if he was the only staff member who served us. My friend had a crab cake sandwich and she said it was dry. When it was time to pay I had asked Liz if we could do an even split and she says "no, I already printed the separate checks", I understand that it may have been an inconvenience to her, but I just wish she said it in a more polite manner. Overall, it was a very mediocre experience, I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

They don't have any fancy coffee, but it is fine.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Chill and Relax restaurant for Breakfast, Lunch and Brunch in Olney, MD[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their dining room is not huge but is enough space for chit-chat of 2-4 groups of people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute and lovely decoration.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu has variety selection, but too bad that they don't serve handcraft coffee. The food was nice as the standard, but for me a cozy vibe is make it different. Also the staffs are friendly and helpful. Anyway, the restaurant location seem a little confused, hidden inside narrow corner, free parking spaces are available in front of the restaurant but quite limit.

Breakfast at the scratch, kitchen is truly a wonderful experience. The pancakes are fluffy. The waffles are delightful and everything that goes along with it is beautifully prepared and very fresh as the name implies it is made from scratch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is sat in a non-descriptive industrial area in Olney and a little bit difficult to find.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But once inside you're treated with fresh ingredients, light and fluffy pancakes and waffles and the fresh stuff ingredients. The staff goes out of their way to make sure all your needs are met.

This is our go-to breakfast place in Olney. The owner greets us every time we come in like family. The food is delicious, hot and fresh. The ricotta pancakes, French toast & pupusas are a must!

Made a wrong turn and came upon this place by chance. My lucky day. Great service! Great food! 10 out of 10

My cousin and I had a good experience at Scratch! We arrived soon after they opened on a Friday morning and were met with friendly service and good food. The lemon ricotta pancakes were amazing and enough for two people to share. My cousin enjoyed his breakfast, especially the pancakes. Also the orange juice was very fresh :)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cozy, well decorated, quaint little spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Appears to be family owned/operated and the staff were very friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was very welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We sat down and were served complimentary pumpkin cream cheese muffins (very decadent and delicious). The turkey club was massive and served with perfectly seasoned French fries. Greek spinach omelette was just ok but served with home fries that were a hit with the whole table. Overall would dine again for the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, but would try another dish other than the Greek omelette. Would love to try their sweet selections or breakfast sandwiches on the next trip.

This is such a cute place! I went fairly early in the AM so I went straight to the counter to check in. The decor was very cozy and rustic. The owner was friendly and we chatted a bit while I waited for my order. I got the 2 pupusas and they were delicious, especially with the sauce. I also got a breakfast sandwich which was very reasonably priced. It was also tasty, even a couple hours later. I'll be back soon!

The morning was perfect for a visit to their patio. Lots of small planes taking off and landing in the near distance. After receiving our menus, it was time to order. I got their Norwegian pancakes called "Pannekaker" wrapped with strawberry preserves on the inside with sprinkles of sweet blueberries. That was the option I selected as there are two other choices: cinnamon and sugar or lingonberries. I have tried the one with lingonberries - just as good. I also added an egg (scrambled) and sausage which is extra, but it was a meal I was looking forward to. I also got their Apple Cider mimosa - loved it. The other mimosa selections were the lingonberry and elderflower flavors, which are great as well. For the featured pastries, they showed us 3 choices for that week: Coffee Cake, Lingonberry Almond Cookie, and Chocolate Cheesecake. Paola's fresh pastries and they all looked tempting, but I settled on the Coffee Cake. The top had a slightly sweet crunch to it, while the rest of the cake was soft. I loved it. Service was great.

I opened up my Yelp app to see if I had bookmarked anything nearby and T&J's Waffles was the first spot that popped up. I didn't know it was walk up location. I was all prepared to sit at a table and have breakfast, but I was already there and I wasn't leaving without food. My dad and I both ordered the classic breakfast platter. It came with two waffles, probably three eggs (we added cheese so that was extra), 4 slices of bacon, and 2 sausage links, and hash brown. The waffles were such a cute shape and they were delicious. I can't confirm this, but I imagine it's their own special batter. They were very generous with the scrambled eggs and I didn't even have to add salt & pepper. I like that there were two meat options. I just wish my bacon wasn't all stuck together to form one piece. Also, the bacon could've been cooked a little more. It was a little fatty and I like a little more crisp. The star of the show was the hash brown. It definitely seemed like it was homemade. This may have been my first time having a homemade hash brown. I'm not sure what they did to it, but here's my guess. It looks shredded potatoes, mixed with green onion, and maybe some cheese, that was packed like a patty & shallow fried. My goodness, I should've ordered some hashbrowns to go so I could eat them for the rest of the week. The platter was so good, I didn't even mind having to eat it in my car. Lol. It was filling & $16 well spent.

But there's a pattern here that keeps me from giving a higher rating, and today it crossed a line. For a spot charging $7+ for a bagel with cream cheese, the policy of charging extra for a to-go cup with ice and a lid has always felt petty. Today it got worse. I asked for an extra cup & lid for ice before being rung up, and the employee wrongly assumed I wanted a simple water cup. When I clarified, instead of extending a small courtesy to a regular customer, he stopped and ran a separate credit card transaction for $2.65, the full price of a beverage, for an empty cup. I had already paid for my bottled beverage. It's not solely about the money. It's about what that gesture communicates to your customer. A $0.25 cup given as a goodwill gesture goes a long way. A separate $2.65 charge for an empty cup does the opposite. The food and early open time will keep bringing me back. But management should keep in mind that it's the small things that turn regulars into occasional visitors.

Dear Management, I…read moream writing to share my family's experience during our Father's Day visit to your restaurant. Unfortunately, what should have been a special celebration turned into a very disappointing experience due to the service we received upon arrival. We had a reservation for 4:00 p.m. When we arrived, the gentleman at the host stand was not welcoming or friendly. He simply told us to "step to the side" and that someone would assist us in a few minutes. As the minutes passed, we continued to wait without any communication. During that time, a white family of five walked in without a reservation and was seated immediately. At that point, I approached the host stand to ask what had happened and why we had not been seated despite having a reservation. The host searched for our reservation, asked what time it was scheduled for, and then casually stated, "I think someone stole your table." I was shocked by this response. I asked how that could happen if he was responsible for managing the seating. He had no explanation and, more importantly, never offered an apology for the mistake or the inconvenience. A manager later came over and asked what had happened. After I explained the situation, he appeared genuinely surprised and concerned by what had occurred. Once we were finally seated, our server acknowledged the delay and kindly offered us an appetizer because of the long wait at the front. We appreciated that gesture, but it did not change how unwelcome we had been made to feel upon arrival. I am writing this letter not because I am looking for compensation or anything in return. My purpose is simply to ensure that no other family has a similar experience, especially on a day meant to celebrate loved ones. Every guest deserves to be treated with fairness, courtesy, and respect. A sincere apology from the host at the time of the incident would have gone a long way. I hope you will use this feedback as an opportunity to coach your front-of-house staff on the importance of customer service, communication, and accountability. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. Sincerely, Ms. Deas
