All the staff are rude and zero effort. Guy working the drive thru window argued with me after he shared the kitchen was backed up with DoorDash orders; but they hadn't taken a drive thru order in 15min. Went in a few minutes before ten on Friday night of memorial weekend while I waiting for my food they locked the lobby's doors while there were 8 other customers in there with me. They said their lobby closed at ten. All surrounding businesses and restaurants are in summer hours. They're advertised to be open until 11 for both drive through and lobby. Locking people in is a safety hazard. As well I ordered a large and was given a small cup and no dipping sauce. The person who I assume is the manager fixed two receipts while I was waiting. After I told her about the wrong cup size she kindly gave the correct one. How ever the employee who gave the incorrect cup marches over snatched the cup and slammed it down. Ok, so the ads are all about the Grimace Meal for his birthday and it comes with a special milk shake. We pull up here to drive thru and sure enough, all signage along the way advertised the Grimace Meal. This is where the fun ended. Tried to order the special meal only to be told they did not have that meal due to the lack of the milkshake. Ok, give us a vanilla shake. Nope. Ok how about a frozen Vanilla Coke? Nope. Service is not available, day shift manager (9AM) was rude when asked for refund after asking cashier first, and waiting for 2 Regular McMuffins for approximately 30 minutes. Numerous others served simple McMuffins. Mgr didn't offer to get our food and did not want to refund us for the long wait. She walked away until my husband stayed in front of cashier waiting for them to take action. The cashier was nice about it, the manager was again rude and walked away with a bad attitude. She ultimately comes back and returned the money on our receipt. The overall store was busy but had a manager that didn't care about the operations running smoothly as there were several people also waiting close behind us. Waited over 30 mins for food and when we got it two burgers were not plain as asked due to mustard allergy. Quarter pounder was raw. When I took it back the lady with the long black braids looked at me and then turned around and proceeded to ignore me. After about five mins I asked them if they were going to fix it or what to which she turned around again and looked at me and turned back around and only spoke to the manager. Then the manager and her exchanged words and turned and asked me what it was.. she asked for the cooks to recook it and make it "well done". One of the staff had his pants down under his butt where everyone could see his underwear. Great food, my burger was slightly overcooked and had a lot of grease, I know it does not sound like it tasted good but it did. They have very good fountain drinks and the workers are very nice. The workers have a moderate attention span and okay listening skills, which is much better than an average McDonalds. If you have any desire for a correct order or service from a marginally competent individual, drive on and find something else. I moved to OB about 4 months ago and enjoy going to McDonalds for breakfast and coffee. But today was the last straw - - My order (normal stuff) took over 10 minutes and when I asked about the status they said "it was coming up". Thirty seconds later a young man came in with a bag of food and said "this is not mine"! It was actually my order and they gave it to the wrong person. I asked for my money back and the manager obliged and apologized. Unfortunately, this is normal for this McDonalds and it is surprising that the owner is not more vested in his operation. I will never go back and will try to find out locations owned by this operator so I can stay away from those too. It is not too much to ask for your order to be right, provided fairly quickly (this is fast food!) and by employees that are somewhat knowledgeable - even for a McDonalds this should be the standard. We waited for about 45 minutes for our order. There was a line wrapped around the building so we opted for curbside. We watched the cars in line cycle through twice before going in to check on our order. It was just sitting there on the counter getting cold. There were also workers standing around, getting soft drinks obviously not concerned about how busy they were. When I was a kid growing up in Ferndale, Mi. we had a McDonalds with a huge fish tank. The McDonalds and fish tank are long gone but this McDonalds reminded me immediately of it. Granted ITS fish tank is much smaller, but still pretty cool. The staff may have been a bit... "Medicated" when we arrived, but the gentleman offering me "Anything they make, just for you, just ask" made me feel more welcome than I have at a McDonalds in a while. The manager at the McDonald's - Orange Beach Alabama - 4511 Orange Beach Blvd. is possibly the worst manager I've ever encountered in a restaurant establishment. Sunday morning - May 21st, 2023 I can't believe she is allowed to work there. For what? To abuse the employees and customers.... waited over 35 minutes to get our food and coffee, and the order was incorrect. When I tried to get the order correct, she got smart with me for no reason. She has a nasty attitude and ugly mouth. She DOES NOT need to be in a position of management. When I asked the lady at the window for my caramel latte - she looked at me and said - the machine is broken. I asked for a refund, and she didn't know how so the "manager" pretended to process a refund back to my credit card. She refused to give me a receipt when I asked for it. She walked away and ignored me. I asked for it 3 times and all she said nastily - "Give me a minute"!! I didn't get the receipt and asked for her name - and she just glared at me and said nothing. I've checked online, and she didn't give me a refund, she only pretended to do it. She's a very nasty person and something needs to be done. Just because this is a place for people to come on vacation, doesn't mean that people deserve to be abused when we are there to support your business!!!!!! They don't wear name tags, nor is the 800 number customer service number posted on the on the drive through window and now I clearly know why. Quite possibly the worst McDonald's in the nation. Came into this establishment with an empty stomach in hopes to fill it prior to our journey home from the great state of Alabama. Craving a warm, spicy chicken McGriddle, I go to order only to find that they are somehow out of them. I settle for a chicken biscuit and some hot cakes, wait about an hour and a half and still never received my order. Might I say it would have been faster to go fine dine with a nice view and a three course meal than it was to order this so called "fast" food. The people that work here need to find another job because they clearly don't like it here. The lady that took our order was rude. The chicken nuggets we got tasted as if they'd been sitting for a while. We went back again around 9:45pm at a different night(Saturday) because it's the only fast food restaurant that is open late going towards our hotel. The employees there acted like the damn place was closed. They didn't answer us at the drive thru. And one of the employees was out talking to a buddy outside the restaurant.
