I was surprised to see all the haters leaving reviews on this McDonald's. I work in the area and have been a customer here 2-3x per month for over 15 years via the drive-thru. Orders are taken efficiently, accurately, and by the time I pull the car over to the window, the food is ready for delivery to the car--every time. My experience with the service help is that they are friendly, well-trained, and good at what they do. Moreover, because I DO like McDonald's in general, I patronize some McD's restaurant for lunch at least once per week either this one, 2-3 restaurants closer to my house, and while on vacation. Comparatively speaking, this particular McDonald's in my view is one of the top two in the Chicago-land area. My guess is that given the huge number of patrons the average McDonald's serves in a month/year, websites like this are more likely to net someone who has a complaint and less likely to field satisfied customers like me. read more

Specifically asked "what size coffee COMES WITH the McMuffin bundle; was told "Small, medium or large." I said, oh, well go with large then assuming the person understood "comes with" means AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. They proceeded to charge me $.79 upcharge. I have coffee at home, didn't need to pay more, and the coffee was weak on top of it. Total waste of money I can't afford to waste. Hashbrown was not hot & crispy (and I ate it right away), McMuffin was just warm, cheese wasn't even melted, fritter was already stale by the time I got home AND was overcooked (very brown.) As I sit here sipping on my drink, I thought it would be a good time for an updated review. If you enjoy a bunch of teenagers yelling behind the counter, having your order just thrown on the counter without a word being said, or just waiting to have your order taken - this place is for you. This place seems to be on a downward spiral. When ordering at the counter, you have to wait several minutes until one of the employees can break away from their fooling around to take care of you. And when your order is done, it is just thrown on the counter. Then the employee runs away back to have fun in the corner. God forbid if you need napkins or utensils. This McDonald's is UNSAFE to go to a night. They refuse to turn on lights. The parking lot is as dark as the middle of a forest. You can tell them and they do nothing. Every Thursday I go to McDonald's on Southwest highway in Palos hills to order breakfast at by 6 muffins sausage McMuffins two sausage burritos and to hash browns. Yesterday before I went there I seen a commercial showing that the sausage burritos are supposed to have diced red peppers in them I have never ever received peppers in my sausage burritos. When I went there to place my order I asked the person in the window one regarding the peppers and he knew nothing about it then I asked the manager in a window too about it and he knew nothing about peppers being a sausage burrito commercial shows sausage eggs cheese and red peppers. No free refills for an ice tea when eating in however if you have coffee or a soft drink then you can have as many refills as you want. Manager said this is due to Covid which is obviously an insane answer unless I missed the recent CDC guidance that said Covid is transmitted through iced tea and no other beverage. read more

I enjoy going to this McDonald's .. the management is very friendly and quick with my to go orders..must admit I don't use the drive thru because of problems with the communication for the app(they seem not to be able to pull up order's quickly and efficiently. Don't bother going here. I used to go here all of the time. I work a couple doors down from here, and would pick up breakfast on the way in. They would always mess up my order at the drive - thru. Not only that everyday I went there it would either be 20 cents higher or lower from the previous day for the same exact thing. Not sure how that was possible, but it was. We stopped here after a competition at Stagg High school, who ran out of food before our team could eat. It was 9pm. So we showed up with a full size school bus and packed the restaurant. At first the staff was looking nervous, I thought for sure it would take forever to get the orders done and food out to us. Pleasantly surprised!!! They got more staff out to man the register, kitchen was hopping and I am confident 30 or so people had their food in 5-7 minutes! It was all hands on deck and our food was fresh, hot and good! I never have had a bad experience with this McDonald's ever. I don't know if this is just me being me but this was pretty rude. I ordered a milkshake asking for no whipped cream. They give me a milkshake with whipped cream and I told them I asked for no whipped cream. So they take it back and I hear the guy who took my drink back yell: "f*ck your whipped cream." Slow , rude , had a sick manager work , rarely took temps , some people don't wear gloves , food is undercooked. Once when I was working there a kid threw up his fried ( they were undercooked) and my boss made me clean up human throw up during a pandemic . They also talk crap about customers . This Mcdonalds location, has been a go to place for me. Fast service, but its always the quality that is not good. Buns are burnt sandwiches are soggy for a busy place. Newly renovated which is nice. Just have to keep the place clean. Friendly staff and fast drive thru not just in rush hour. read more

This McDonald's is convenient for me to stop before work, I'm second shift and sometimes need lunch. One observation I have is the 2 lanes for drive thru, they are out of sync. I've waited 2+ cars go thru the opposite lane before my order is taken. Frustrating, unfair, first in next out.... McDonalds changed the bun on the quarter pound hamburger, it has a wax shine unnatural look and taste. Please bring back the old bun! Fries, when you order small you get a skinny small bag. My dad ordered my family McDonald's and when we got home and opened the bag we saw that they forgot our chicken nuggets, I know it might not sound like a big deal but this happened more than once and this time my dad decided to go back and show them the receipt and tell them that they forgot it. Once he got to the window he nicely told one of the workers and she started accusing my dad of lying and saying we ate it when we didn't, my dad refused to get out of the drive thru until they gave us it, so she decided to call the police. We then discussed the problem to the officer and he talked to them and made sure to give it to us. You might think we're being over dramatic but it's honestly a waste of money especially since we have a big family and we ordered it for many people. Unlike the McDonald's on 95th and 76th Ave (Hickory Hills, IL), you never have to wait long for an incomplete order at the drive thru window. This McDonalds has a number of outstanding employees. The older white woman on the morning shift that takes your money at window 1. She is very nice, and never messes up you change. Also if you get Jamar or Jamal not sure of his name but he is a young black man who NEVER gets our order wrong. This young man is extremely nice.
