I just tried the BBQ Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich and it was TERRIBLE! It barely had any bbq sauce and it was dry and crunchy. It was worst than McDonald's pressed meat rib sandwich, but at least McDonald's isn't dry and crunchy and it has bbq sauce. I hadn't been to Shake Shack in quite some time, so I was excited when I drove past this location just before lunch. We ordered burgers, fries, and drinks, which totaled nearly $40!! The fries were hot, but the burgers weren't very good. They didn't have much flavor. I just had a plain double burger with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. I'd previously visited a couple of the SS locations in the Loop and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was taken aback by the food at this one. Honestly, it just didn't taste good. The staff is cordial and personable. The cleaning could happen more frequently but at least they have a drive thru. Deals via UberEats and the ShakeShack app exist so Google for the latest offer. Came here with my sons who heard they had the best burgers. We each ordered a burger, fries, and a drink. Our total was $47 bucks, if their food was really good then it would have been worth it, we thought it was just ok. Another problem we had was the amount of time we stood and waited at the counter for our order. We had to remind the staff what we were waiting on, save your receipt! That said, the 'Shroom Burger was pretty tasty and a little unique compared to most standard vegetarian alternatives. I ordered off of Uber eats today for dinner for the family. I've been to this specific shake shack a few times and i am quite familiar with the sizes of their burgers. unpleasantly when i did did order off uber eats, they gave us catering sized burgers which are significantly smaller than their regular sized burgers. New location opening and it's obvious they are working out the kinks here. Online ordering is not an option yet and this location is not yet available for view on their app. The wait was pretty long even after calling in the order ahead of time. The kiosk for call in orders wasn't very user friendly either. The inside looks clean and modern. I had a double cheeseburger on a GF bun and cheese fries. The burger tasted absolutely delicious. Seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of char. The GF bun was thinner than most, not at all flaky and didn't fall apart. It was also slightly toasted which is so necessary for GF buns. The fries were just okay. A small serving with some undercooked. The burger is surely the star here. No complaints whatsoever. Hopefully they will have ordering on track soon. The three star review is because the food was delicious. If the food was not good, this would be a zero star review. I was so excited to try Shake Shack for the first time, and I brought my nephew with me who was also going for the first time. The kiosk was very easy to use except it asked us to take a table number, and then type that number in. Looked around and no table numbers. Stood there for a while and watched the other people standing there looking around, meanwhile a large line was forming behind us. Tried to find a staff person to wave at, but no luck. Finally a very nice lady at a kiosk next to us, found two table numbers that were abandoned on a table and took one and gave one to us. Next was finding a table. It wasn't very busy in there, so there were plenty of tables open, but they were all dirty. One of the first things I noticed was at the floor was also very dirty. We finally picked a small table, and I went and grabbed napkins to clean it up as best I could. The food was delicious. I had the veggie burger and my nephew had a bacon burger and we both loved them. He loved his fries and I loved my cheese fries. I went up to get ketchup for us and discovered that the ketchup dispenser was empty. I waited around a little bit to see if I could catch an employee's eye and finally a young woman was coming back from dropping off a tray at someone's table, and I said to her that the ketchup was empty. Without looking at me she mumbled mmm hmmm and kept walking. I noticed that there were two ketchup packets next to the empty dispenser so I took those back to our table. I proceeded to watch guest after guest walk up, find the ketchup container empty, and tell the same woman it was empty. She gave every person the exact same response. My partner and I came here on 4/13 for lunch, and they have self ordering kiosks as well as staff available to place your order. One of the reasons why I love Shake Shack is that a lettuce wrap is available on their menu by default as a customization, and I love that they're willing to cater towards many dietary needs. I'm no longer able to have yeast like I used to, so having a lettuce wrap allows me to still enjoy a burger. I also like that they advertise that they don't use any hormones in the chicken etc, so I can appreciate it as a consumer that they source high quality ingredients while also making Shake Shack appeal to more customers. Shake Shack even serves alcohol now. For this meal, we skipped it since it's lunch time, and they were on a skeleton crew and someone would need to come check an ID to confirm your age before you can be served which makes sense. We ended up each doing a lemonade, 1 order of fries, 1 order of chicken bites, a burger and a chicken burger. I enjoyed my chicken burger on a lettuce wrap, the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The only con is trying to eat it without being messy or having things fall out of the burger due to the lettuce being flimsy and when you put freshly cooked food on the lettuce it'll semi cook it. Other than that, it was still just as tasty and if anything it made me feel less guilty. I'd totally come back here and would make it a regular spot whenever I'm having a craving or don't feel like cooking. When I arrived, I noticed that you place your order on a self-serve kiosk and then wait for your order to be called by the service staff. Everything is à la carte. No options for the food to come in. More like a combo or your normally used to at a fast food burger joint. So with the two Angus burgers minus bacon with avocado and shallot onions and one fry was $26. After opening up my packaging and making sure the order was correct, I noticed that the patty was kind of small so I did order an additional one for my husband. Shake Shack will not put ketchup on cheeseburgers. At the price charged this is pathetic. I was told that this was corporate policy. The order ahead app does not work or the workers don't read the order. I specified toppings, cheese and shack sauce only, and got tomato peppers added. These are way to spicy to to put on someone's order by mistake. Once you put the order in the app and pay you do not get a detailed summary of the order so you cannot tell what you are getting. So when something does go wrong they blame the customer. I contacted shake shack regarding my concerns per the request. They did not acknowledge that their app has issues. They mere stated my order was prepared accurately. I hate peppers. I would not overlook removing them or submit an order that I did not believe would allow me to remove them. read more

There was a deal where you could get a free Shackburger with any purchase, but you had to order through the app. I couldn't get it to work, so I asked for help. The counter girl tried to help me but it still wouldn't work so she spoke to a manager. The manager came right out and tried several times to make it work, with no success. She then said they would take my order at the counter and that I would not have to pay for it. I said I would pay for fries, but she insisted that the order would be free. Horrible service! First of all, I placed my order on the app, and the app was very wonky, but I finally got it to work. Next, after 12 minutes of waiting for my order, I was told to go to the drive-through window. I waited there five minutes before someone came to the window and gave me my food. My french fries were cold. And they did not include the Shake Shack sauce on the side, or my barbecue sauce, as I requested in the app. After no apology, They gave me another french fry, and it was only lukewarm. After 2 tries, I had enough and I just left. When someone waits 17 minutes before they get their food, the food should be hot and fresh. And the order should be exactly as requested. And when you do fail, there should be a heartfelt apology. When I spend four dollars at White Castle, I expect some issues. However, when I spend over $15 for a meal at Shake shack, I expect hot, fresh, and high-quality food. And I also expect the order to be accurate.
