The Jimmy John's on Harlem in Palos Heights is absolutely amazing! I thought they messed up my order so I called and spoke with the manager. Not only he didn't question me but he took care of the problem. However, when I went home I found out that I was actually the only who messed up!!! I was the one who made the mistake. So I called the manager back and apologized and he was absolutely gracious about it. He laughed and understood how I could have messed up. I can't believe I did that but not only the order was made perfectly to EXACTLY what I requested, but they were so nice to me when I made the mistake. I was really grateful for how nice they were. Took an hour for my order to be delivered. I called the store only to be told that they are short staff. He didn't even listen, cut me off, and basically hung up after giving a half ass apology that they are short staffed. If a company prides themselves on "freaky fast" delivery they should give some warning if a sandwich takes an hour to be delivered. I would have driven there or ordered somewhere else. Was at your spot the other day and when I was waiting at the end pick up my sandwich one of your associates was cutting up a pickle and before she cut the pickle she wiped the knife that she is using to cut the pickle off on her apron talk about cross-contamination. This location is the bomb. Delivery is fast. You go in there to order, there's no line and before they even get your change the sandwich is ready. BAM! And everything is fresh. Good sandwiches and subs. Very fast service and delivery is fast as well. They are not kidding on the t.v. Commercials. Love the wall decors of the place as well very vintage with alot of fun facts to read while eating. My personal favorite is the tuna sub. Bread is crispy which is crucial. Better than subway I would say. Kindda pricey though. Your lunch meal could reach more than $10. Which you can get half somewhere else like a local family owned sub place. But sandwhiches are good so you really cannot complain about it. Would come back. But not often. read more

There are two reasons this is worth one star. * The cashier had a suck-it attitude. * The cashier was not cooperating at all. * Cashier did not realize that you can get a special order, thus resulting in him telling us that we can only order combos on the menu. * I simply asked for a salami and lettuce sub, my colleague asked for a turkey and cheese sub. What we discovered when we got back to the office was a number 4 and a number 5 on the menu. * My sub contained the following contents: * Salami, some sort of mystery meat, onions (which I am highly allergic to),peppers, and tomato. * My colleague's sun contained the following contents: * Turkey, mayo, tomato, and lettuce. I work at Lush, a colorbar and hair saloon, right there in the same shopping plaza as this Jimmy Johns and it takes longer for me to briskly walk over to order a sandwich than it takes the staff there to make it! The staff there always gets our orders right on the nose and with a smile on their face. As an added plus, the place is always clean and smells like fresh baked bread! Yummm. read more

I never received an email confirmation so I called the store after about 30 minutes jut to make sure that they received my online order. Was told that they just left with it. I was ok with the wait because the weather isn't the greatest and there is road construction on our street. My order arrived after about 40 minutes. I opened up my sandwich and there was no cheese or mustard. There was one slice of turkey and 2 slices of cucumber. Barely enough mayo to even see it. So I basically paid over $15 (I always tip the delivery person) for a piece of bread with some lettuce! I called the store and got a bit of an attitude from the guy that answered the phone. He said he would give me a credit for the next time I ordered and would attach the credit to the phone number. Well, I work in an office and there are multiple people that call from the same phone number, which I explained to him. He says "Well what would you like me to do then?" with attitude. I ordered a tuna fish sandwich. Tuna is probably the cheapest protein that JJ serves. The amount of tuna was so minimal that both ends of the sandwich approximately one inch at each end lacked any tuna fish at all. Also the layer of tuna that was in the sandwich was so thin it was over whelmed by the cucumber slices. This was my first and last time I will go there. Subway Sandwiches are much better. read more

I have to say, I have been to a number of different Jimmy John's and this location has to be the worst. I have gotten everything from hair in my sandwich to grizzle in both turkey and beef sandwiches to having my sandwiches delivered and having to throw them away due to the stench of cigarette odor which seeped into the sandwiches as the delivery driver brought them to my home. I don't know if Jimmy Johns is switching to a lower grade of meat or what but I gave this location the benefit of the doubt and returned there time after time. No more...I will drive farther and find another location before I ever eat another JJ's sandwich or, go back to Subway. read more

i am very sad to write this 1 star bad review. this is the only jjs i ever went to but that is changing after what happened today. my boyfriend and i have been coming here since the end of 2014 and always saw the same usual guys working and they were friendly and actually put care into making their sandwiches. we come here very often, at least a few times a month if not more. something must have happened to the good employees because starting November 2016, there were a lot of new employees that we had never seen before. there were still a few good ones left that we saw occasionally, but this time it was clear that our beloved jjs has turned to sh*t. when they were slowly transitioning from good employees to really bad employees, there was times that they did little things like forget hot peppers, put on mayo when we asked for no mayo. that wasn't that bad but still shouldn't have happened. today i ordered a number 13 which is the vegetarian sandwich. i'm pregnant right now so i can't eat deli meat. i still love the way they make their sandwiches though so i compromised. we got some drinks and filled them up while they made our sandwiches. they set the sandwiches on the counter and said "#9 and #13" we got in the car, my boyfriend handed me the sandwiches to hold and i noticed that mine had a 14 on it. i laughed and said omg they put the wrong number on mine thinking it was just a mistake. i looked at the receipt and it said 13 so i figured it was nothing. my boyfriend was concerned considering the minor problems we've had and the new employees so he took it and looked at the sandwich. it was a 14 which is nothing like a 13. it has roast beef and turkey which i'm sure tastes delicious but it is nowhere near what i ordered. my boyfriend went back in really quick and they questioned him about opening the sandwich... seriously??? we ordered a certain sandwich and checked to see if it was the right one. was i just supposed to eat something that i didn't ask for?? who gives a sh*t if i went as far as to wipe my a** with it, you do not make a customer feel like they are wrong for something that was clearly your mistake. so whatever they made new sandwich and we went home to eat. i opened it up and just double checked to make sure everything was on it. they put so much cheese on it the sandwich was barely edible without taking some off (i know it's extra provolone, but i've had this sandwich before and they never made it so thick that it was falling off) they also didn't put the cucumbers on it. seriously? i know they're supposed to be "freaky fast" but i'd rather them get it freaking right. btw it was clear that the person with the problem was the one making the sandwiches. the cashier did fine because she was the one that entered the order. the person making the sandwiches obviously couldn't read. read more
