This McDonalds is conveniently located nearby the Arrowhead Mall. The inside at first glance looks clean, but I could see trash and miscellaneous boxes being stored to the side of the kids play area. Ordering was a bit glitchy as several kiosks were out of order or took awhile to load screens. The food was normal McDonalds, tasted good but wasn't very pretty. For example my double cheeseburger was pretty squished when I unwrapped it. (I did eat there, so there was no bag squishing possible.) You can tell based on all the signage around the restaurant that they have issues with loitering. There were signs saying you can only be there 30 minutes, even if you eat something. And they keep the bathrooms locked (you have to be buzzed in by the counter). While the food was normal McDonalds, I would probably not come back to this spot as it just didn't feel right. Maybe the drive thru is the option so you don't need to see all the inside turmoil. read more

COVID-19 Period Review I like to think of myself as a positive, glass half-full type; but after coming here today and experiencing a funny, sub-par everything, it's kind of hard. Let's start with parking, or lack there of. They have a dozen or so spaces on one side. All the spaces are very narrow and taken. How can that be with no one inside? The handicap ones are on the other side and they're blocked by folk trying to get into the doubled Drive-Thru, by using the parking spaces as a lane. It's a mess. Next up, the ordering process. McDonalds corporation prides itself on how fast and intuitive their cash machines are. Well it seems this location failed to train the worker bees, who seems befuddled and confused by it all. Newbie? My simple order, two McDoubles, one New Crispy Chicken sandwich Combo and a drink with no ice. Never understood why they filled their cups to the top with ice. Grrr I don't want to be too cynical here. I waited ten minutes and had some fun watching the couple in front of me. Seems they asked for two iced coffees, which kept coming out with mostly cream and no coffee. Now they were really annoyed (po'd). After three attempts (3X), they asked for their money back and only then, did the manager get involved. Managers of course are the only ones who can refund a purchase. LOL. She offered to make them a new drink (4X) herself and low and behold, she got it right. Me? I got an education. Tell me what you think of my Spicy Chicken (photo) versus the marketing picture. Absolutely loved the service here the manager brought us our drinks while our food was being prepared. The manager and crew was working as a team and cleaned everything in restaurant on a constant basis. The food was so amazing and made so tasty. I don't know the managers name but she is amazing. I was in town to run a nearby half marathon and was staying nearby. I stopped in here for a quick meal as it's my pre-race tradition to eat dinner at a McDonald's. I used the mobile app to place and pay for my order. It was very convenient as their app almost always has some decent deals. The deal I used for this visit was for a Quarter Pounder with cheese at regular price and a Big Mac for free. Since the McRib sandwich was back on the menu, I decided to get that as well even at regular price. I didn't wait long before my food was ready and brought out to me. With the current COVID pandemic, there were plexiglass partitions put up and masks were required to help with limiting potential exposure to the coronavirus. read more

Since they've been renovated the service has been terrible. Today we ordered and paid at 1:41pm and it's now 2:00 pm and our food is still not finished. Having previously worked for a McDonalds, I know what it's like in there. I had a small order, just a sandwich and a drink. It took a while, but as I was waiting, I saw a young guy walk up and into the building, to be put in back booth. So now, I know they're just short handed, doing their best, and I don't mind waiting for it. When I got up to the window, the guy told me someone paid for my food?? Like? Talk about luck. And it makes sense they have a hiring sign in the drive thru--where all the traffic is. They're not lazy, they're just very tired humans, trying to make your lunch as quick as they can. If I could give a 0 at this location-- Happy meal? More like UNhappy meal. I drove through the McDonald's drive through for a light meal, and decided to get a happy meal rather than a large order. I only wanted a few nuggets rather than a 10 count, so I ordered the 6 count nugget meal with the extra fries rather than apple slices. I went to this location on 9/30 around 815pm I ordered a fish sandwich meal with light tarter sauce, and a chicken sandwich meal. I had to wait but by my surprise it was to get fresh food. I was happy with that. However coming in I was stoped by someone begging for food then as I was at the drink station. They have a guy camping literally bags and all in the lobby and he was begging for money from every customer. The place is otherwise quite which is a plus. May be do to the lack of customers wanting to stay here. As I was finishing up my lunch a person decided to chill across the lobby from me and start doing drugs. He had a slight burn out and left with a free water "soda" I assume this behavior is normal for the area. Other problems the employee was definitely new and had no job what he was doing. This is not the McDonald's I would normally stop at but it was on my way home from shopping. It was mid-afternoon but the two-lane drive thru seemed pretty long. I thought, "well this will move fast"....wrong. And once you're in it, you can't get out. After a crazy amount of time, simple order, filet of fish and quarter pounder with cheese. By this time, I'm REALLY hungry. First problem, the filet of fish came without the FILET! A bun with tartar sauce in a box...not even the cheese.
