Upon arriving at this McDonald's, the drive through line was wrapped around the building. We decided to go inside instead. We waited over 25 minutes for our order, and finally decided to ask for a refund as we had an appointment we had to get to. The cashier refused to give us a refund and rather told us our food "would be right out." The manager was the only one helping the entire store in the back, she really needs more help at this location. My order was wrong, and I didn't receive my coffee I ordered (then was STILL refused a refund). At one point the manager asked her worker to grab a sauce packet for her and the worker just looked at her completely dumbfounded... it is a shame this is basically a one person operation. My family and I stopped here on the way home from OBX. It was pretty busy since it was Saturday at 9 AM and right off of I-64. The drive thru was also very busy. The staff stayed very friendly and attentive despite the large and anxious crowd. I was super impressed by how well the manager (didnt get her name - blonde haired female though) kept everything together and tried keeping every one happy. As we were about to leave, the power went out and even then she was very calm and collected. Went around and collected everyones receipts so she could keep working on orders. This McDonald's is so bad that it's a common joke amongst us locals. The service is terrible, the kitchen is even worse, and you'll be lucky to come out with a correct order. You'll be lucky if they even answer the drive through at night and it's in the news often for employees stealing from it. As far as fast good goes...this place is bottom of the barrel. As far as McDonald's goes I'm surprised the corporate office even allows it to exist. read more

I don't usually review McDonald's but today I have to. I happened to stop by at this McDonald's just because it was after 12:30 and I was hungry on my way to Norfolk. I went inside and waited in line for a few minutes. My register lady was a middle aged, blonde hair, blue eyes, a little bit fluffy management like person in red shirt. She was great. She not only called me Sir, but saying "May I help the next guest please?" very cheerfully instead of just saying "next!" with dull attitude. Not only that, the food was very tasty. I ordered a side salad, a small french fries, a cheese burger, a filet-o-fish and a cup of coffee. The filet-o-fish was excellent. The buns of filet-o-fish was so perfect. Soft and moist and warm. The fries were crispy and hot, cheese burger was pretty good for just $1. My luxurious meal at this McDonald's today was $8.25 but if without Filet-o-fish, it would have been only about $4.25. That's amazing. I have never had such satisfaction feeling at McDonald's before. But there was no big golden arch at this location. Why? read more

We ordered a cheese double quarter pounder, a quarter pounder with onions only and a McFlurry, and got a double cheeseburger with pickles and mustard and ketchup, and a double quarter pounder with everything including bacon on it, and not even to mention that they didn't blend the m&ms into the McFlurry. We were on the road and stopped by here for late dinner, I ordered quarter cheeseburger meal and cheeseburger, they told us to wait in the front so we waited for about 20mins+ but I think they forgot about us so I had to call them because the door were already closed. So finally one of the worker came out and handed us our food and he apologized so I was like ok np, we left without checking our food because we still have 2 hours drive to do, I opened the bag and started eating the cheeseburger, so gross it was hard and dry, my order were missing 2 fries and my soda tasted like sh*t. Food is fine, but service is the slowest of any McDonald's we have been to and the employees have been rude on several occasions. If you are in Bottoms Bridge go to Taco Bell or Bojangles before McDonald's. read more

Breakfast is fresh. First time I ever had a country ham biscuit at McDonalds. Nothing special, if ypou been to one, you've been to them all.

The usual McDonalds food. Got a large coffee, Quarter Pounder, and a McChicken. Had to wait 5 minutes while they made a fresh pot of coffee. Restrooms were clean and staff was polite. read more

Not 24 hours like it clearly says on the signs and online. The employee working on the trash told us they open at 5am. So for those doing an early morning or late night road trip don't even bother stopping by. Keep driving to the 24 hour subway or to a gas station. Have gone through the drive-through the past two Fridays at approximately 5:30 PM. Both times were beyond slow. I thought the first time was an anomaly but after a second experience the following week, it must be the norm. Definitely not fast food. Has progressively been getting worse. In the past this location would consistently screw up my order. It seems they have resolved those issues, but now take forever and/or give you cold food. I stopped going to the Wendy's in Quinton because of this same issue. McDonald's is quickly earning a right to be ignored as an option for me. One other issue, if you go inside, be prepared to hear bickering amongst the staff members. Highly unprofessional. Whomever runs this location really needs to step up and be a leader. read more

This McDonalds provides great service, is kept tidy, and has a quick drive through service. My order is correct 95% of the time. The quality of food is ok, where I've had some items provided to me that were over heated, or simply not fresh. The employees here are extremely polite! read more

We stopped here driving from MD to VA Beach and the signs on the door and drive thru say 24 hours, we pulled in at midnight. We went inside, the manager and employee looked up but didn't acknowledge us, we used the restroom then went to order and noticed they had turned off all the screens with the menus and were ignoring us. So we attempted the drive thru which clearly had a 24 hour sign and a special menu good until 4am, again no one acknowledged us. It appears they decided to close up shop early despite the posted hours. I wouldn't have been so upset had they acknowledged us and simply apologized and said they were closing and the fryers and grill were off. read more

I've lived in this area for many years and have watched this McDonald's crumble. They used to be on top of it. But just as you'd expect, most people don't want to work at McDonald's forever. So the employees phase out. And it just gets worse and worse each passing day. There are few who actually give a damn there. The food you wait in line for 40 minutes for is almost always OLD and COLD and that is unacceptable. The owners don't give a shit clearly and that shows in the fall of this establishment. read more

I stopped at this McDonalds for a quick sandwich, waited at the counter 6 minutes, just to see how long it would take, never got waited on, left the building. Four different employees saw me and never acknowledged me, one was even the Manager. There was no one else in line on except me, three people eating just shook their heads when I wasn't waited on. This place was just awful. It was 11:30 when they don't close until 12:30 on sunday nights. Me and my friends waited at the drive thru menu for like 10 minutes and nobody said a thing to us. Eventually we drove up to the window where we saw the workers standing. We tried knocking on the window, talking to them, and even honked. The workers just stood there while eating french fries. They did nothing and just ignored us for 15 minutes. I do not recommend this mcdonalds at all. They need better management. read more

I had to review this location as I have read of numerous folks posting here who experienced the issues that I did. Kudos to McDonald's for 2 Drive Thru lanes, BUT if one is significantly slower than the other (2 cars pull through the other lane while you "wait" in yours) that is a PROBLEM. And then to just have the window attendant ignore you at payment and just "put their hand out"... WTH?! Now, the location is nice INSIDE and great for folks traveling if you want to take a break from driving. HOWEVER, until they fix this issue, maybe I they should rename their "Drive thru" to "Drive wait". read more
