This location is pretty amazing! Their staff run a pretty tight ship in order to accommodate the hundreds of cars that pass through their 2 drive thrus as well as the 5-6 dining rooms cashiers. Service is very quick and the staff will greet and service every customer who walks in during the lunch rush. We placed our order via the app. They have pretty efficient system for mobile orders. Efficient drive thru service with friendly staff. Not always typical at CFA, but they are a better option than other fast food joints. The area outside the restaurant was clean. My typical #1 meal was served hot and had condiments I requested. My frosted lemonade was yum. Only complaint is the piece of chicken has got smaller while prices have increased. This one's a busy location. Yet props to the employees, as they kept the drive thru moving. They might want to go in the military, as they are pros at dealing with crowds. Getting out of this strip mall though, please do be careful. Route 360 and nearby the Richmond Beltway, are enough to have you questioning humanity. This was a rest stop on a trip, and the dining area and bathrooms are clean. This chain is growing fast. Then again last time I was in this area, it was less built up and developed. Friendly employees work here. It was so busy in the dining area, that I decided to go with the relative solitude of the car. First time visiting this location. The medium size waffle fries that come with the combo meals were half the size than they were supposed to be and seemed like a small size put into a medium size carton. The 8 piece nuggets were tiny- each about the size of a dime but outrageous for the price paid. Fries also tasted bland at this location. Even with a long line, be reminded, it's BLACK FRIDAY, we promptly ordered, paid for our food & we sat to await our freshly cooked fast food, that's an oxymoron of sorts though, fast food being fresh. We were given a crate for our receipt & condiments; to be noted this crate also acted as a marker for food delivery. About 5 minutes after being seated, a super friendly staff member delivered our food. And to boot, she returned about 15 minutes later to inquire if we needed anything else I'm amazed as last I checked, this was a FAST FOOD RESTAURANT; where does this occur at a fast food restaurant? The mood & overall feel of the restaurant was pleasant; again, not the norm for a fast food restaurant. I sat back to take in the sights & I saw more restaurant workers questioning diners to see if they needed anything else; this is amazing across the board!!! The play area for the children was brightly colored & quite welcoming. Hand sanitizer wipes adorn the entrance. Couldn't ask for a better place for them to be; as they will be used as created, for sanitizing (mild cleansing). The parking lot was a little congested, but this was probably due to the construction taking place. A place like this could make me re-think my abandonment of chicken... The lady that took my order was really nice, food was good but.... My son likes Chick-fil-A sauce and I like buffalo. They did not give us either. Gave us ketchup only and a lot of it neither one of us eat that. I asked if I would be able to get a toy for him with a 12 count nugget since he wanted more food than a children's meal. Went to this location around 5pm, wait was about 5-10 mins, which is fine. When I ordered in the drive through, I told the employee I wanted a #1 with NO pickle, with american cheese and bacon added on (and a large ice cream cup). I pulled up, got my food, left and was at the 360 Light when I found pickles on my sandwich, she did not indicate I wanted no pickles on my sandwich even when I told her. $10 for my dinner, and to get it fixed, I would have to go another 10 mins out of my way, which was not worth it to me. Moral of the story here is do not trust them to get the order right the first time. Check your food, and expect to wait even longer when its wrong. read more

Ahhhh good ole' Chick-Fil-A. There is A LOT I could say about "Chick-fil-A Corporate" and the political controversy they stirred up back in 2012. But this is Yelp and not some political blog. I want to talk about the service and the food and leave the debate about questionable donations to other folks. The service at the Mechanicsville location has always been SPOT ON. They really are amazing with how well they provide service. If Chick-fil-A upper management ever did a secret audit of this place I'm confident they'd get a near perfect rating and rightly so. I've never had my order wrong; I'm always tickled when they say "my pleasure" and despite my political stance I still eat those delicious sandwiches. In the words of Doc Holiday "my hypocrisy knows no bounds." I was pretty excited when I saw this location being built in sleepy Mechanicsville. I only wish I knew about the promotion for get free Chic-fil-A for a year. I would have been cool to be one of the first 100 in line. Oh well, maybe next time. I stopped in this morning for some breakfast at this location, I walk inside and am greeted by a cashier who takes my order. The poor lady kept messing up everyone's order, forgetting their drinks and apologizing for being sleepy. No big deal everyone has a bad day. I use my rewards to pay for the food and when I was standing on the side waiting for my food I looked at the receipt and noticed she didn't ring up a CEC biscuit, rather she rang up a regular chicken biscuit. No worries I hadn't gotten my food yet. (I look around and notice everyone who has came in behind me has already received their food). The cashier was apologetic and went to the young lady bagging and she rolled her eyes and came over inquiring if I paid in my app. I said no I used the rewards, she informs me I need to charge you for the egg and cheese, okay Sure but I was pretty sure if you used rewards it covered the egg and cheese, either way i paid the 95 cents and 15 minutes after ordering I finally received my food. The bagger insinuated that I was trying to scam the store out of 95 cents. Instead of just saying no big deal and making the situation right. Chick-Fil-A is hands down the most well managed fast food restaurant ever. (That is not up for debate) I dont eat Chicken but I my kids do and I have to give credit when credit is due. I just experienced "Operation Tour bus" during the Friday night dinner rush at Chick-Fil-A. Sounds like a receipe for disaster right?? Well not for Chick-Fil-A, they have systems in place for this. In my mind I'd like to imagine the management staff flicks the chaos button and everyone goes into a frenzy to get prepared but I'm sure their process is much less dramatic then that. Anyway the Dining room was a sea of customers from the Tour bus and the drive thru was backed up outside of The parking lot which is pretty typical volume for this location on a Friday night. They had 3 different people taking orders and credit card payments. They had another lady smiling, waving and taking cash payments and then a team of two people in the "meal delivery zone" handing out food to drive thru customers! Bravo Chick-Fil-A job well done. Oh- and the cherry on top.. we got a handful of POLYNESIAN sauce!! Obviously Chick-Fil-A is amazing but this location gets the Elite seal of approval from me for handling "operation tour bus" with such ease. read more

The company is known for its amazing service, but I can tell you that the service here is ALWAYS on point. I don't know HOW IN THE WORLD they manage to move the lines along as fast as they do, but I've never waited more than 5-7 min, even when the line is extended through the parking lot. I walked into chick-fil-a Mechanicsville and saw how sleepy those kids look. It made me think, what time to they leave at night? I feel so bad for them. Week days must be tough having to go from school, to work, and then deal with homework. Way to go teens for pushing through. I hope the managers check in on them knowing how much stress is on them. I often see kids getting disciplined at Chick-Fil-A, and they go through so much already. Is that even okay? I've seen this at the Mechanicsville and Atlee locations and I'm just trying to stand up for all the children. I see the managers roll their eyes whenever one of the workers ask a simple question. I was also walking by the drive thru and I heard a worker tell another worker that they were only supposed to be out there for an hour but they were out there for two hours in the freezing cold!!! Those poor kids! Enough is Enough! If my children wanted to work at one of these two locations I would say, absolutely not! My husband and I first tried Chick-fil-A a long time ago while we were students in Indiana University. We really love it back then. Unfortunately there were no Chick-fil-A in New Jersey that are close enough to us. When we saw the restaurant while driving down to Disney World, we knew we had to have our kids try it. Busy Friday night but food order came out less than five minutes. For inside, take-out. Ordered two meals, a number 1 and a grilled chicken sandwich with the large fries. Each package of fries were a 1/4 full like someone ate out of the take-out bag. The fries were not crispy, cold and over salted.
