Last night me and six friends came in here for drinks around 8 in the evening after sdc. I got a coffee and a chicken sandwich. When we came in, there was hardly anybody in the restaurant. Ordered on the kiosks per usual, which I don't mind. What I do mind is waiting half an hour for the wrong meal. We sat down at the tables waiting, my friends eventually got up to go ask for their cups, while I was still waiting on my sandwich and coffee. A crowd of 10-15 people amassed in the lobby, none of which were attended to by staff, and still no sign of my food. Waited at the counter to ask somebody about the status of it for 10 minutes with no assistance. Finally, somebody came and asked me what it was I had ordered, came back with and incorrect sandwich and drink. At that point, I was ready to leave and didn't want to wait another decade for assistance so we left. This is the first time I've ever left a review the experience was so bad. I would be a little more gracious to the employees, I've worked retail so I know how customers can be and I know how it feels when it gets backed up but it WASN'T BACKED UP when I ordered. I wish I could say it was because maybe they were focusing on getting the drive through cleared up or something but people were coming in from the drive through because they had not had service in 15 minutes. I have no idea what the employees were doing back there, because it certainly wasn't preparing food, and it certainly wasn't taking orders. I probably sound like a bitch for such a long winded review but I spent $11 on the wrong sandwich and coffee and a half an hour of my friends and I's time and I've had similar experiences here in the past. I will probably be back just because I'm a lard and it's the closest restaurant on my lunch break at work, but if you can avoid please do. read more

It is no wonder this place has a one star review, there are more than one reasons for it. At first glance, it's a fast food restaurant so we can't really expect much but even for fast food chains, there is an expectation of some sort and this location meets NONE of them. They have touch screens for you to enter if you don't want to wait in line for the cashier so that was convenient but everything else afterwards was a nightmare. My brother had ordered a 4 piece nugget kids meal for my nephew and when we opened it up, I kid you not, it was diced onions in there and on top of that, they did not give us his drink. My brother brought it back up to the register and asked if it was a joke and the cashier went and repeated what he said to the staff instead of solving the issue. She then went to make an excuse saying that it was for a customer that had asked for onions on the side? I cannot fathom how this place remains open and how it's not closed down yet but it needs to be. It is absolutely disgusting and we ate in but none of the tables were clean. this is the worst mcdonalds I've ever been too. there's only ever like 1 person working here. they don't take orders for people who don't use the kiosks. they don't give you the right food. the food takes at least 45 minutes to arrive. I don't know if everyone in the back is too stoned to remember what people order or too busy playing minecraft on their phones to care. either way, this place would be better off financially if it was converted into a Blockbuster video. read more

There was me and another car there. They told us they were cooking fries and pull around. We sat there for 30 minutes waiting on our food. 3 people came and asked what we ordered. Then when we finally got our food the fries and everything else was cold. I don't understand why the fries were cold if that's what we were waiting on to cook. We ordered a Big Mac meal and 2 happy meals. They also got our order wrong. We were tired of waiting for 30 minutes so we didn't even bother to try to get our order fixed. read more

It's fast food so obviously my expectations aren't high but this place needs help learning to function. I'm sure they probably don't really care much though. Waiting times are always slow so I've come to expect that if the lines are long. It wasn't very busy today though so I thought I'd stop and grab some food. When I got to the window the employees were screaming at each other to "hurry up!" As a business owner, I would never yell at an employee that way and would quickly reprimand any management that did that. Anyway, I got my bag of food and headed home. Upon opening my bag I was short a couple items and of course my fries were under filled and cold. I accept responsibility for not checking to be sure my food was included in the bag before driving off but I really don't like to do that in front of them because it feels disrespectful. Of course if the staff there doesn't respect themselves or each other than it's probably moot anyway. If you really want McDonald's and you're in Branson west, it's worth driving to Branson for it but the other fast food options nearby are better anyway. I don't anticipate ever returning to this place which means no more McDonald's at home, so I'll be healthier too. I have no idea why I get angry when shorted food, it's probably because I strongly dislike thieves. For me the approximately $8 loss would cost me that much in gas to return to the restaurant for so it's their gain and for me, an $8 education in how terrible this place is. Cheaper than most colleges these days so still a win as long as I put in a little extra effort to find gratitude in things where it might be tough to find it. read more

Okay hear me out. I know it is fast food so my expectations are not high, but good god. This has got to be the worst McDonald's in the state of Missouri. Wait times are absolutely ridiculous, food is cold, and things are always missing! Then when you ask for a refund or some sort of compensation after waiting half and hour AFTER you already paid and the order being wrong or gross, they look at you like you are crazy for even asking. The employees are rude most of the time, (not all) and that makes almost every trip to this location unpleasant. Slowest, most unorganized McDonald's in the country! The manager here needs to go back to training. They have a million employees but none seem to know what to do. One standing at the kiosk doing nothing and could be at the register taking orders or cleaning the tables, the manager had no change in the registers to give to customers on a busy weekend. The clerks at the register don't even know how to put in an order without asking for help on the most simplistic things. You don't put a new person on the register on a busy weekend. One morning we were standing at the register first in line and it took 12 minutes for someone to greet us and take our order b they should not have the counter person delivering and setting up orders. My wife and I stopped by McDonalds for a quick breakfast meal. When you walk in they have these new self service boards where you can place your order electronically versus talking to a cashier. They then give you a device and bring your food/drink out to you. I have to give McDonalds credit as they are always looking for ways to improve productivity. Kind of cool. Our meal came out quickly and the food is exactly what you always expect form McDonald's. The only drawback to the visit was that they were out of soft drinks. They were out of carbonation. A minor setback as I also like brewed ice tea which they had plenty. The store was clean, the food was hot and the price was right so overall in my opinion was OK. read more

Been here twice this year. Over the summer just bought a drink and the lines were to the door. Now it is November and the situation is even more ridiculous. 7 pm lines through the door. Floors filthy. Only three employees we could see in the building and they were exemplary. Trying very hard to keep up and keep people happy. One guy to take orders, work drinks, get fries and take food to customers. My husband complimented on how hard he was working (he was running peoples food to them). He finally admitted they were normally left short staffed on Sundays. Silver Dollar City is open and you have 3 people working??! This place is so gross the fries are cold and they add like one pound of onions and ketchup. The only thing that is good here is there ice cream or frappe's. When you order your food and get up to pay IT STINKS SOOO BAD. So I thought maybe it would be better to order inside. NOPE the floors looked sticky with food or trash on the ground. Very unsanitary. The ketchup and soda mashies need to be Cleaned more often. A quick tip tho if you ask for no salt on your fries they come out hot. BUT I SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO THAT. We visit West Branson often and have for year. It's not that often we go to this MCDonalds but when we have, the service has only been decent one time out of seven visits. We were there on the Morning of June 30th, around 10:00 AM. To say the service was slow, disorganized and horrible is being kind. The area management has had this store enough years to know that coming into a holiday week, you need to have extra staff on hand for the influx of extra customers during rush times, especially transitioning from breakfast to the lunch menu time. They were not only way understaffed but a lot of the staff on hand appeared to be in training and did not know what to do. I am not lying when I say that we and many other customers, both inside and at the drive through waited 50 minutes or more to get our orders and then it was still incomplete. The store has been lacking in service for years but this was by far the worst. Corporate really needs to step in at this point and do a complete overhaul of the staff from the manager down. Do yourself a favor and grab breakfast and dinner at the nearby Sonic or Karl's Jr. read more

I'd like to say this is just another typical McDonald's but I think it's just another of the cursed fast food identities that reside in Branson West. What is it about Branson West that automatically seems to drag down any fast food chain that chooses to open up shop there? So this review isn't entirely about McDonald's it can also encompass Taco Bell, Sonic and Pizza Hut (even though not "fast food" still a chain shop). Depending on what day and what time of day you choose to eat at any of these establishments determines on what quality of food you will get. Don't ask me what those days and times are. We've lived here for 20 years and haven't figured it out yet. It's obvious that after obtaining a franchise there isn't much checking up done by the Corporate folks to ensure their product is being represented to it's best. I think an episode of Undercover Boss would do wonders for these establishments. And to be fair to McDonald's, Sonic is by far the worst of any of them but they don't have a listing here so can't post on it. So I'll stick to McDonald's. In my opinion when you eat at a fast food chain regardless of where it's located, you should expect the same product of the same quality whether it be in California, Texas or Missouri. Sadly this is not true. Again.... where is there any corporate concern? Is it that easy to obtain a franchise? Is it just all about the money and after that who cares? As I said... sometimes you get a good hamburger.... looks fresh.... tastes fresh..... and other times you wonder if it's been left over from yesterdays batch and kept in the refrigerator and reheated..... old tasting bun......extremely dry meat. Not picking on strictly the hamburger either.......that pertains to just about anything on the menu..... well except the drinks of course. It's bad enough that there probably isn't one fast food chain that actually produces a product as shown in their TV commercials but one would hope to at least have an edible product of some sort and some consistency each time they visit. And why would someone ask does anyone continue to go there. Well aside from cooking at home.... those few fast food places are the only game in town. I guess a captive audience will put up with a lot for convenience and like I said, it's not always bad.... just not always good. Whatever happened to quality control or some type of manager over seeing what the workers are putting out? Sad to say I'll be back there next week, hoping against hope that I picked that magic moment when they just finished taking the buns out of the new package and the meat freshly cooked.
