Hate to be a Karen but I wish I could give this McDonalds negative stars. it's 5 mins from where I stay and stays open til "midnight" but you will never get anyone to answer the drive through after the doors close. Lets face it: you don't go to McDs for the food. we enjoy the comfort of consistent service and amenities from place to place. today I planned my trip with the goal of meeting for breakfast at the a McDs near my destination. i arrived 30 minutes after their scheduled opening time. imagine my surprise when the doors were locked! I knocked on the drive thru and was told that they were short staffed so the "lobby" wasn't open. I pointed out that while I could get food from the window, I couldn't have my meeting or even use the bathroom. manager wouldn't budge. I get that there are always hiring issues, but these are services of a restaurant. This McDonald's is the worst one I have been to in a while. As a former manager of McDonald's, this store makes my blood pressure go up. The drive thru is slow as molasses in January. For some reason, they can't seem to take an order and help the person at their window at the same time. They really need to learn this skill. Most of the cashiers are rude. I had a manager make me wait longer for fresh fries (because of course, the ones they gave me were stale and cold) because the basket that was down already were his, for him to eat. I don't normally go inside anymore because the company has changed from bright and cheery places of fun for kids to dreary, dull, and dark colors for angry adults. Im only giving this place a two stars. Its brand new and great location between Fredericksburg and Richmond. Great size and easy on and off I-95 with a gas station across the street. My big complaints are that the crew seemed inexperienced or lost in space. I waited behind a line where the 4 registers were open. Yet, when it was my turn after the last couple ordered their meal, they disappeared. I stood there waving my hand and finally someone from the furthest register motioned me over. The second complaint, WHAT ESTABLISHMENT SUCH AS McD's RUNS OUT OF ALL FOUNTAIN DRINKS?? They only thing they sold were the other drinks like shakes and what not. This McDonalds has shown to continually create piss poor barely edible items. From chicken sandwiches that aren't thoroughly cooked, to waiting 15 minutes for a hamburger while everybody else behind me is given theirs, to getting chewed out by the waitress who made me wait, to ordering an unsweet tea and getting brown water, and asking for a pack of chocolate chip cookies and getting one chocolate chip cookie and two sugar cookies. This is THE worst McDonalds I have EVER been to. EVER!
