Five Guys has become more expensive than a steak dinner . I never thought I would see a day when 3 burgers, 3 fries, and three drinks would cost over $60. Sure the burgers are ok. They're not as good as BurgerFi or similar, but they're better than most fast food places. But the prices are astronomical. The people are friendly enough but the dining room was dirty. Ordered what I thought might be simple bacon cheeseburger and medium Cajun fries. The weight was not too long, that was the very BEST experience today. I can only guess I received someone else's order that had been sitting there for a minimum of one hour. Just put in new bag. There was no grease upon receiving order and it had absolutely no warmth to the bag, and it was very light. The lightness did not bother me, as I can never eat all the fried they provide. The fries almost kind of filled medium order size or at least appears to, as it was turned on its side. Once put in cup correctly it was SMALL cold order of regular Fries, with a hint of Cajun, I think the fries have to be fresh out of frier for the seasoning to stick to them, but I am not really sure. The burger felt extremely light and not as thick as any I have had in the past and besides being cold had no sent to it. Had to drive back to return COLD TASTELESS items. They seemed surprise, I was not happy and attempted to talk me into my food. Reluctantly I was receding a refund, maybe I won't be getting one who knows. I was not able to have a copy of the receipt of return after trying to talk me into my food again - exact same food not even offering to reheat it. I was told the money should be back on your card sometime and clerk walked away. WILL NEVER RETURN TO ANY FIVE GUYS, this just topped off their normal poor customer service. And well I simply do not have $20 to purchase a meal I have no way to eat. I am so glad I did not pay at tip when prompted, I wanted to actually receive something before tipping. read more

Sandwich came apart as I was eating it and before I could finish. Fries not so great. Menu says, and I printed it out, cut fresh and cooked twice--firm on the outside, mashed potato on inside. Not firm on outside because not cooked twice as supposed to. Cutting corners for easy quick sell. Outside of fries not firm but soft. I don't like this. Gimme the firm fries I came for. OMG!!! This place has the best fries PERIOD they are vary friendly and it has such a nice inviting atmosphere! It is also vary convenient! My mom takes me and my siblings here pretty often and it's great. The fries are a great size for us and they have convenient little peanut boats that fit the perfect amount of fries for each of us!! Definitely pop in here for some AWSOME satisfying fries!! I'm vegan so I have not had there Berger's but if I did I bet there AWSOME to!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. When we entered, there were 2 men WITHOUT MASKS waiting for their order; a 3rd joined them. We asked staff if masks are required (per CDS, VA law & their signs, etc.); the lead/Manager said "I asked them, but...". There's no "BUT" - they should have been told to wait outside! Other complaints: the music was painfully loud; the QR codes for contactless drinks were not working; and one of the fry orders wasn't cooked through. We will not return to this location. read more

I stopped at the Five Guys location on Carl D Silver in Fredericksburg, VA on 1/4/21 at 5:47 pm. The young black man, Jermaine, cooking the fries had his paper mask the entire time below his nose barely over his mouth. I said something to the young lady (Caitlyn) taking my order and she asked Jermaine to pull his mask up and he did it for maybe 2 minutes then proceeded to take it off while still in the food area and drank out of a water bottle then put it back on improperly without it covering his nose area again. I wouldn't have ordered from here if my spouse hadn't asked me to, that was enough to make me want to walk out. There is a reason that PPE is instructed to be worn properly. COVID is running rampant and this guy is working with food. So I asked if a Mgr was there and the lady in the prepping area stated she was a shift mgr and I asked if that was okay with her that he wouldn't wear his mask properly and she stated "I guess I should talk to him about that." If you have to guess, then you shouldn't be a mgr. Then Caitlyn walked over to Jermaine and asked him to pull his mask up (not even the mgr did that) and Jermaine proceeded to say out loud that he didn't care what I said or complained about and did not pull his mask up, then he looked at me and said your order is on the counter, so there. So not only is this young man unsanitary, but he is rude as well. Jermaine could potentially make a customer sick without any consideration to people's health conditions. The young Asian man's mask kept falling under his nose, but he kept pulling it up at least and didn't appear to be a disgruntled employee. My friend visited me from Boston and she wanted to try their burgers. At first I was not happy with the choice of restaurant but eventually settled for it since I haven't been there for quite a while. We went here then for lunch. We both ordered the bacon cheeseburger. I had the double size burger and she chose to go with the single size burger. For ingredients, my burger came with lettuce, tomato, onion, green pepper, jalapeno pepper and ketchup. I really liked it, even though it seem to be a little bit too greasy. The meat was juicy and tasty. My friend liked hers as well. The Fries were perfectly done, and quite different in taste than in most fast foods restaurants. I really like this burger place. We decided to stop in our drive from DC to Richmond. I have been reading reviews on Five Guys Hamburgers and they have been compared to In-n-Out. Me being from the west coast, I was intrigued. And I was pleasantly surprised. I like it much better than In-n-Out. I ordered the little cheeseburger and my bf ordered the big cheeseburger (two hamburger patties). Skip this Five Guys if you care about sanitation. I have never had a bad experience until I went here. The level of chaos in the kitchen was unbelievable. None of the kitchen staff switched gloves through the process, the gentleman in the back cutting the French fries was not wearing a mask. When I got to the counter, the gentleman was yelling in the phone, then threw it to the back counter for another person to take care of the call. While I was waiting, a Doordasher or Uber Eats driver came in massless, and nobody asked her to leave and get a mask. Overall, this was one of the worst experience at a Five Guys. read more

Firstly I want to say that this location is sparkling clean and that their customer service is excellent. People have been raving to me about Five Guys for YEARS. I had never eaten there because I am a vegetarian but one night, my husband and I were so tired of our regular restaurants that I called Five Guys to ask if they had a veggie burger. YES! They did! I have had a whole lot of veggie burgers in my life. Many meat eaters do not believe me when I tell them that you can actually have a very satisfying and flavorful veggie burger. Since Five Guys specializes in burgers, I was really excited to see what they could come up with. My veggie burger was basically lettuce, a slice of tomato, a slice of onion and some mushrooms between two buns. It was entirely flavorless. Did anyone actually taste test this before it was put on the menu? If a life-long vegetarian doesn't even like this, something must be wrong! I'm a vegetarian, not a rabbit! Unfortunately, my husband did not like his burger, either (he is a meat-eater). I shouldn't say he didn't like it, what I really mean is that he didn't think it was anything special. A bacon cheeseburger , side of fries and fountain drink is 18$...... you can go to a sit down restaurant and get an appetizer , two meals , and share a dessert with a 2 for $20 special. The food is good, but WAYYY over priced. The location was clean and the employees are fine. I just think paying 35$ for 2 meals is ridiculous considering you can go to one of the many sit down restaurants and get more food for less money. I had the lil bacon burger, although it was a little messy , it tasted fine. But chilies has a good bacon burger as well with a better atmosphere in my opinion read more
