It's basically a Big Mac on steroids--tangy, slightly sweet, salty beef patties, and when you add mayo and tomato, it's ridiculous. Best, most consistent burger I've had in the Garland/Sachse area, no debate until proven otherwise. Tried the Texas Patty Melt for the first time and it delivered--9/10. Not your grandma's melt. Great flavor, perfectly sautéed onions, slight spicy kick. Only knock is the toast was a bit soggy and hard to hold, but still very legit. Bottom line: Jake's is the most consistent burger spot in the area. Fix the fries and this place would be dangerous. As a personal trainer, I don't take cheat meals lightly--and this is worth every calorie. I'll be back.
