Great place to eat. Always fast and friendly. McDonald's no matter where you go is consistent. WIth covid and so many places shutting down due to lazy workers, Thank God McDonald's has had the practical sense to stay open to the best of their ability and serve their community.   It's pretty simple really, if you don't like it don't go. Yelp reviews are a joke, so are the people that waste time reading them for a place like McDonald's. I'm not sure why I feel the need to spout off just now but I'm sick and tired of reading reviews from people who can't order correctly then think it's a problem. OR think they are fooling someone when they say my whole $40 order was bad, I'm not bringing it back and BTW I want a full refund and the food remade.  Get a grip people read more

This is literally the WORST McDonalds in the whole chain! They can NEVER get an order right, not inside or through the drive-thru! Tonight is no exception- when someone orders a burger with no onions, that means they DONT want onions- that means NO ONIONS!!!!! I get home, and what is on my burger- onions! It looks like someone made at least an attempt to scrape them off of the old Big Mac they gave me, but still there were onions- NO ONIONS MEANS NO ONIONS!!!! How on earth can employees be so incompetent?! The sticker on the Big Mac box even says NO ONIONS! I have stuck my whole order, the Big Mac with onions, the fries, and the drink into the refrigerator for the night and will be taking it back to them tomorrow and getting my money back, and I will NEVER go to this McDonalds again. Whoever the manager is of this McDonalds should be fired- they have obviously NOT properly trained their crew, and obviously don't care. read more

Horrible customer service. The gentleman (I couldn't quite see his name badge but I think it's Alex) basically threw a cup at my elderly mother and threw her change & receipt in her hand. He has no personality. If you don't like your job find another one. I've never received this bad of service at this location in the 20+ years I've lived in West Salem. Maybe he was having a bad day but don't take it out in your customers. We also told him that the water was coming out of the machine pink and he looked at me like I was stupid. read more

They refuse to serve all day breakfast, abruptly stopping for no justifiable reason at 10:30 AM, which is absolutely unacceptable! Their app coupon scanner is broken all the time, same with ice cream machine which is always "broken". They do not have bike racks, which is very inconvenient for workers and customers who wish to ride their bike to the restaurant. There is never a time I've come here where there hasn't been a homeless person standing next to the front door, either loitering, asking for money, or just bothering you in general. last time I came in, it was around 7 PM at night, with no customers, and empty drive-through. It took 23 minutes for them to make one McChicken. What was going on? We're the cooks taking a smoke break? I will never return, not until you reinstate all day breakfast! The building looks new but the place is filthy! Its either the manager or the owner is a slob. The soda machine area is filthy together where you get you straw, it looks like the last tine it was wipe like a few days ago. The floor are worst, its disgusting sticky and shoe marks everywhere. Im giving two stars because of the friendly older lady cashier, other than that if its filthy inside its probably is the same in the kitchen. read more

I normally don't do bad reviews but I've had too many bad experiences at this location to ignore it at this point. I work late some nights so sometimes I like to grab a couple cheeseburgers and go home instead of making something when I get there. Tonight I was waiting in line for 20 minutes with only two cars ahead of us, I wasn't even that annoyed about having to wait. I'm just irritated that I waited that long and ended up getting two hockey pucks instead of two cheeseburgers. My husband was so ticked that he wanted to go in and yell at them. I told him I didn't want to deal with that and just wanted to go home. The night crew is terrible and they need some new training or new staff in general. Morning crew is MILES better. read more

A friend have met at this McDonald's on Wallace Road for the last 6 Sunday mornings and it has good from filthy parking lot to being just as filthy inside. The ladies restroom that people were going in snd coming straight back out. The floors were filthy with mud and food and napkins all behind and on the counter. No name tags on crew members and people standing about and staring into space. Awful. read more

From the first time I went to this store in August. when I moved here, to yesterday the service sucks. I go to McDonald's because USUALLY they are quick in the drive thru. But this particular store... slow doesnt begin to describe the wait in the drive-thru. I does not matter what time of day or night you go. This last experience was ridiculous. The first window went quick but I waited at the delivery window while watching people just standing around. No greeting nothing. The order was correct but the 10 minutes was kinda a wait for fries and a cheeseburger. read more

Since this is the only McDonalds over the bridge, we go here for quick food from time to time. Every time we go here we are shorted something. This morning we waited 10 min in the regular line and ordered two big breakfasts and two sausage burritos then we were told we needed to pull forward as they were waiting on the big breakfasts. We waited another 10 min. When we finally got our order, the hashbrowns that come with the big breakfasts were missing and the bi breakfasts were slopped together so much it was unappealing to eat. I got out of the car and went in and spoke with the manager. I hated having to get out of the car when our order should have been right and appealing to eat. read more

This is the only McDonald's in West Salem making this the most convenient stop for me and my roommates. The quality is usually up to par for McDonald's fare but the quality of service can vary widely from outstanding to near abysmal. Sometimes audible groans can be heard in drive-through when taking an order and each item is followed by "is that all". Custom orders here have almost always been wrong on at least one item with extra mayonnaise often coming back with no mayo although to their credit they are frequently very busy. Overall decent for a quick fast food experience with some room for improvements in terms of customer service. read more

I waited about 30 minutes at the drive through and was rewarded with a cold burger, and fries that tasted like cardboard. The previous time I went to this location I went inside. The floors were filthy, they were out of straws by the fountain machine, and I had to wait about 25 minutes to get my order. I am not a McDonald's fan so I have only been here a handful of times in 2 years but let me tell you...I have had to wait at least 40 mins in the drive thru EVERY SINGLE TIME!...and the drive thru is NOT designed to get out of line if you are in a hurry. Tonight, my son and I had a long time to sit and watch the dozens of customers vaping outside the restaurant though. Horrible customer service. Counter help is unable to deal with high stress or busy times. Staff are complaining about each other and management in front of customers. Staff fail to serve cars in drive through in order. Drug deals and transients in the parking lot. Overall, could use Gordon Ramsey or mental health treatment to turn this place around. read more

Went to drive thru at midnight. There was one car waiting at the order speaker. I pulled behind them. Another car pulled into the other lane. Third car was helped first in less than a minute. Car that was there when I pulled up waited 10 minutes to have their order taken. I pulled forward and worker said, "give me a couple minutes." To my horror, I waited for two FULL minutes. And, guess what....still no one to take my order. I left. It is unbelievable that they cannot take three orders in 15 minutes. REALLY????? I was there late another night and watched a homeless person go and knock on the drive window to tell the employees that I had been waiting 15 minutes to have someone take my order. If you have no intention on waiting on people late at night, please just close the restaurant. read more

Going through the drive through usually means you don't have much time to pick up food. I noticed the line was somewhat long but decided the wait wouldn't be that bad, having gone to previous fast-food drive-throughs before. After ten minutes of waiting in line and paying for my food, I get to the window where I am supposed to pick up my food. However, the lady handed me a "wait in the drive-through pickup spot card" as they were still working on my order. I ordered one set of chicken tenders, anyways I pulled up to the designated drive-through parking spot and waited. After twenty minutes went by and no one showing up to bring food to my car or inform me about my order I went inside. (if I wanted to get food inside, I wouldn't have ordered through the drive through) The lady at the counter said "did you order chicken tenders and handed me the bag", I told her "I have been waiting outside in the designated parking spot for twenty minutes". She did not say anything, no apology or explanation. I left the McDonalds, unsatisfied, and will no longer return for business. The only thing I would do differently on my end is to request to talk to the manager for a refund and hopefully better training for those involved that did not bring food to the car after instructing the customer to wait in a labeled drive through parking spot. read more

Unfortunately my elderly mother loves the Frappe so I try and take her several times a month. Every single time I have stepped foot in this location; it is an absolute pig sty.I mentioned it to the Manager and she simply snapped back "Ill Take care of it". Sat 35 minutes waiting in drive thru at 11:30 at night on 8-3-2017. Not very many options in West Salem or I would have left. 35 Minutes, I have never waited that long even during the lunch rush. Of course by the time I realized I needed to drive off I couldn't get car out of line. Kid at window looked like he was lost, other workers playing grab ass behind him. Just for fun I asked kid at window if he still charged people that wait for 35 minutes and he just smiled and took the cash. I realize this being a big company they wont care but I wanted to share.
