After frequenting this West Salem, Oregon McDonald's for the past 15 years I've had had it! I go there every Saturday morning to get my wife and I breakfast and coffee. This location has gotten worse and worse and worse. I am now going out of my way to post this on Yelp because after sending them the below email they decided they weren't even going to show me the respect to email me back to apologize. I say boycott this location until they get their act together. Good morning, I'm not one to complain and you won't find me on file. However, it's important not to ignore this morning and a few recent past experiences that indicate at least your West Salem location is failing. I will start with the one positive, you black coffee is THE BEST!! The negative, waiting for almost 20 minutes in the drive-thru at 0630am is unacceptable. Now I want to acknowledge one of your staff failed to show, but this is a management issue and must be predicted. And again, the below issues are becoming a regular occurrence. Next, the staff helping at the window moved like a sloth and was about as cheerful as a blank piece of paper. This was even after I tried cheering him up with words of affirmation. Finally, and here's the real problem; the food was awful . Both my sausage egg mc muffins were cold, the bread was hard and they appeared as if made the night prior. My wife's sausage and hotcakes came in a hamburger box (see photos). She had to source a paper plate, which was fine because we were home. For anyone eating in their car this would be problematic. The real issue was I was not told this until handed my order. So, I was not given the ability to change my order. Listen, I want you to succeed. Your restaurant employees high school kids, and that's important! But, this is becoming a regular issue and pushing me and my money elsewhere. Please, do better.

Very nice looking McDonalds. The staff was nice and our order was correct. I had no issues with anything during our experience here.

. For me I'm always going for the strawberry pies because they always seem to hit the spot after a chicken sandwich and a large soda

You order at the counter and then you get a number to take with you and place at whichever seat you choose. Drinks and food both came out really quick. I tried the bees knees which had honey, lavender, rosemary and simple syrup with a dash of black pepper. I did not see nor taste the black pepper but I was a huge fan of this drink. It wasn't overpowering in any of the flavors and the rosemary sprig made it look so cute. I got the breakfast potato hash with no tomatoes and it was a delicious and filling breakfast. The potatoes were so good my group wouldn't stop helping themselves to them. I added some hot sauce as it was in the dryer side but still really good. I also tried the matcha coconut scone. It had a pretty matcha green color but it was hard to taste the matcha or coconut and it was quite dry. Service was quick and friendly. The inside is really beautiful and we couldn't help but do a little photoshoot, so many fun backgrounds! Things to note: Restroom shared with other businesses close by businesses and metered street parking only.

Food service can be rough, but when there's no one in line not giving someone at least 30 seconds to check out the menu is really frustrating. The coffee was pretty good, definitely worth going out for. I also really liked the peanut butter and jelly chia pudding. It was really filling and a perfect portion of protein/natural sugars before my workout. The seating area had a nice warmth to it on a sunny afternoon. The outdoor seating looked welcoming too.

Which is a huge bummer because it's super cute inside, and it would appear to be very community based. The pastries were great though, we got the cruffin, salt & herb bagel with garlic schmear, one of the special sandwiches, a danish and the cinnamon cream cheese roll. All of those were great! The coffee was hit or miss for some of us; got a latte with raspberry and vanilla that was great. The matcha is mushroom based so I didn't feel like experimenting with that. The service was a bit odd because (among other things) when we got our drinks she didn't know which lattes were which, and when asked basically gave a IDK and left. Not sure with all the great coffee shops if I'd be running back here, but it definitely has potential!

None of the trendy hipster "coolness" that has come to rankle me in other popular coffee shops. I've had some delicious pastries and excellent drinks, including coffee and non-coffee specialties like their golden milk latte which is unique and amazing. Comfy space, high ceilings , exposed brick. My only feedback is that they serve their bagels to go with a cup of cream cheese and a sliced bagel. This is common, but I don't understand why anyone would want to spread cream cheese on their own bagel when they're on the road. It would be like ordering a sandwich and a stack of meat, cheese, lettuce, and bread and asked to assemble that while you're driving. That's literally my only complaint and it's a small one. I will be a Regular at this coffee shop, bagels be damned! lol.

There's normal tables, taller stools for window seating, and a few couch chairs too. The person that helped me at the counter was super helpful. There are lots of options with desserts, pastries, toast, bagels, sandwiches, soups, parfaits, and whole meals like biscuits and gravy. They have a good amount of vegan and gluten then friendly alternatives too. The prices were a steal for the portions I got -especially the toast and chia pudding. The coffee was also pretty good, nothing to write home about. I'll have to come back to try some of their bagels next time.
